Given the fact that Adam is Lori's brother and Megan her cousin who never really lived with her, I'd say he knew Lori better. Colby probably knew her best until he left home. Adam's son moved in with Charles and Lori after that and stayed until the incident in January 2019.
Adam contends that LVD was normal and sweet growing up and changed later in life. Megan remembers going on a double date with LVD and LVD's boyfriend and how LVD laughed when her [LVD's] boyfriend ran over and killed a cat. Megan's opinion seems to be that LVD has always been an attention-seeking, extremely manipulative narcissist.

Just going back over LVD's chaotic, attention-seeking life, I'm siding more with Megan's opinion.

Adam said during his testimony that he is a member of the LDS church and I feel his criticisms of MC may in part stem from her having left the church.

The adults aren't the only ones in the family affected by the murders carried out by LVD,CD & AC.
Yet the younger generation saw family members make excuses for her and AC.

Had LVD's parents and other family members taken Adam/Charles concerns about LVD seriously the children may still be alive today.

I find Adam's criticism of MC's podcast and plans to write a book hypocritical because he has done the same thing, started a podcast about his sister and the murders/trials and is writing a book with Uncle Rex.
Yet he accuses MC of cashing in on the family tragedy.

IMO:

Many people are cashing in on this case: some who were personally affected, others who are vaguely connected, writers and true crime podcasters.

Hold on….first Megan did live with LVD for a while. Adam may have grown up with LVD but never lived with her as an adult. So I’m not so sure of the two who knew her best. I get the impression Adam was closer to Charles than LVD. But also I don’t think Adam was saying what Megan says about LVD is incorrect - he said he didn’t really agree with her and much of what she said was wrong. I took this to be more of a reference to the fact that he is still LDS and she left LDS and is quite critical of it. She is also has a lot of negative things to say about the Cox family dynamics and although Adam has experienced his own estrangement from his family it’s different when someone else says something about your family.

I remember once as a teenager I was playing in a softball tournament and one of Mom’s coworkers - who had a daughter on another team - heard me complaining about my mother to a friend between games. He piped in about how stubborn my mom could be or something and I threw my coke in his face for badmouthing my mom. I did it before I even realized what I was doing - it didn’t matter that I was mad at mom and said something negative about her, I didn’t want anyone else saying anything negative to me about her. I think that’s a bit how Adam is about his parents and Megan voicing her opinions of them. But I think what he was referring to when he said he didn’t agree with her and her being wrong were more about LDS beliefs.

And full disclosure…I have had a few email conversations with Megan - researching some things for her - mostly unrelated to LVD - and while some of her religious views are quite different than mine, I find her to be genuine in her desire to help others overcome issues she has walked thru and her turmoil about all LVD has done to be just as genuine.

Adam said he didn't agree with MC and 99% of the time her information is not correct and it was because MC wasn't around the family much or LVD while growing up.

MC leaving the LDS church came later in his comments about MC and his familie's divisions.

I gather as much as Adam had become estranged from his family he didn't go into specific details and stories about them on his podcast or in interviews like Megan did/does about the Cox family.

As a female with female cousins I certainly knew more personal characteristics about them at all ages then their brothers ever did.

Adam seems to have only discerned that something very troubling was up with LVD when it came to the religious teachings of the LDS verses LVD's religious teachings and nothing about her personal track history with family and husbands before then.
If he has then I missed it.

Did Megan say when she last interacted with Lori or her family? Adam stated that she lived with him an Lori for a week when she was 18. On the witness stand he said that he used to be in regular contact with Lori before she cut him off.

I’m not sure I know the answer to that but pretty sureshe has spoken of family events where the kids were there. And I’m pretty sure Laurie and Summer were bridesmaids at Megan‘s wedding . Also regarding living with Adam in TX - not sure he meant in his house as opposed to we all lived in TX and pretty sure she was there longer than a few weeks as she told a story of going out with same guy Lori had when the worked together at a tanning salon. Could have happened in 3 weeks and could have been living with Adam - just wasn’t the impression I got when I heard her tell the story. And maybe she did stay with Adam for the last three weeks. But she was there longer. I don’t really know what the references meant but they do agree that her parents came and got her according to Megan that was because LVD was blaming her for all The non-Mormon things that LVD was doing because LVD didn’t wanna get in trouble with her own parents.

Just responding to @wnk from the last thread: AZ - Lori Vallow Daybell charged w/ conspiring to kill ex-husband Charles Vallow and another relative, Brandon Boudreaux, Chandler, Maricopa County #2

Yes, LDS often get married faster than the general population, but even LDS don't tend to marry someone they met ten days ago on an online dating site. That is decidedly unusual, and a bishop in that circumstance would be asking questions if a couple wanted to get married that fast to make sure, for example, that it was not a decision being made to facilitate lust.

Didn’t they marry in Vegas and never consulted a Bishop? Pretty sure that’s the case.
