LVD asked for a sidebar and now she's busy talking flip flops and hot pavement.

  • #262
They waited 45 minutes to call police but she ran out of the house without shoes on and had to buy flip flops at Walgreens?

Pretty sure that Adam has said that he thought perhaps CV was tring to reconcile with LVD again and that she might have told CV not to speak to him.
Thanks.
I missed that if it was said.

I am baffled that LVD keeps trying to convince everyone that her demeanor on that day was completely normal. Your brother just shot your husband, and you're acting like it's just some inconsequential misunderstanding... like someone in the household just "oops" accidentally brought home the wrong kind of milk from the supermarket, but it's fine, we're fine, I can't believe people are making such a big deal out of this!

MOO.

Yeah and then she keeps asking whether the first responders were calm, as though they're in the same position. I wish the prosecutor would ask any first responder whether their spouse was just killed by a brother at the scene.

Someone please give this woman two bottles of water and an apple juice. 😅😂🤣

Did she invite the first responders to the pool party planned that afternoon?

I'm actually glad that LVD continues to testify about her demeanor. It's not normal and the jury is surely taking note.

She has forever ruined the word nonchalance for me though.

BAM. There it is.
State asks it! Were you calm? Had your husband just been shot? By your brother? With your children near?

Asks the same, had the police, firefighters, etc.

Well-played, State.

I don’t know that. I am sure there is a timeline from their phone records. Surely LE has all that.

The charges didn’t come for years and they waited until after the other trials before they even brought the charges.

It leaves me dumbfounded as to why LE fumbled this case so bad. Why was this case not important to them? They have said they were investigating all along. I don’t believe it. In fact, if JJ hadn’t gone missing, Charles would have been forgotten.

I have so many questions. Like why isn’t Charles’ oldest two boys not testifying? Or Melani Boudreaux Pawlowski or Melani Gibb or Zulema Pastenes? Is the prosecutor afraid someone will open the door to the other murders and cause a mistrial?

I am very afraid she will be found not guilty.
The prosecution hasn’t proven conspiracy to commit murder. They’ve only proven she committed adultery.
JMO, others aren't testifying because they don't have direct information that would be admissible. Lori didn't message them her plans (apart from MBP).

State is on redirect.

Points:

No comparison between what you'd expect from LE/FF vs LVD whose husband had been killed

When witness tried to get LVD to step put of the vehicle in order to notify her as next of kin, apart from a minor, LVD resisted. LVD told her she already knew, because she was there.

Separated LVD and T (as witnesses) to interview them imdividually so they wouldn't be influenced by the other

State reviewing with witness

LVD took CV's phone
Looked at his text messages
Refused to return it
They argued over it
All before (according to LVD) T came out

Adam Cox testified that after CV arrived at LVD's house and sent him a text that Alex was there he texted back to CV that "they have a plan" and CV responded "absolutely".
Adam continued texting CV after that and never heard back from him.
What I don't get is if Adam was so concerned about CV's safety did he ever say why he didn't make sure that CV was alright before he and his son left to visit a relative and then a friend?
imo
Adam addressed that many times on his podcast. He had no other means of contacting Charles and did not know where Lori lived. Her entire family was not telling him anything.

One of the witnesses she wants to call is Barry Cox, her father. But she can't even serve him that she knows of.
Right, Smelly Squirrel. She is woefully unprepared.
I am convinced Lori is waiting for Jesus to step up and take the wheel for her. I'm being serious. She thinks she is Jesus' favorite. Lori must be frustrated that Jesus has done nothing to help her. Lori has magical thinking, just like Casey Anthony. Something will happen to fix things and make it all OK again.

Judge says the State will rest on Thursday/Monday. Tells LVD she has run out of time. He gives her a day or two but they still could be procluded.

Judge doesn't believe her witnesses have anything relevant to add.

Judge: does he know what he would testify to?

LVD could not be more vague.
If I have one criticism of the Judge, it is that he won’t just settle this once and for all. He shouldn't say a day or two etc. He should say LVD has until noon Thursday to get her witnesses to present themselves to the state for interview and for her to present a summary of their expected testimony to him. And that if either one is not done the witnesses are precluded. And that if she does and he is not going to allow the witness that he will rule on that by the end of the day. Leaving it open ended is unfair to the state as it will waste their time if they interview the witnesses if they are only going to be excluded anyway. I get giving LVD a little more time since she is not an attorney but this has gone way beyond that. He also needs to rule on that expert witness asap instead of leaving that door open. If LVD were an attorney then no one on her witness list would have been allowed as they were not subpoenaed prior to the trial starting - let alone that she missed the deadlines for providing the witness list in the first place. Enough is enough and the judge just needs to say so.

State is reviewing what the witness didn't know at the time of her interview, establishing that she'd have gone about the investigation differently had she known.

Good to get that on the record, underscore it for the jury.

But IMO isn't that her JOB, to ask the right questions, react to red flags?????

CY's interviews and conclusions are an insult to the deceased CV and his loved ones.
imo
