After viewing some of the hearings and trials of LVD and CD I don't understand why these recent procedings are not privy to ALL the past information pertaining to this evil conspiracy. I know the law prohibits it, but these crimes are related and vital information of associated guilt is being withheld. There is a point when past acts should have no baring on a current trial, but when the crimes are most definitely related and part of the consipacy the law has a duty to expose that fact. JMOO
A 404b hearing was brought up yesterday by LVD. The state sent her notice yesterday for the BB trial. Obviously that would depend on a guilty verdict for this trial.

404b is prior bad acts, which are usually admissible to show a common scheme or plan. The judge says 'let's discuss that on the 14th'.

For Brandon's case - I am guessing all the Status hearings for this case are to go along with the trial.

Thank you Niner.
Does this mean that starting on April 21 while closing is going on and the jury may be deliberating that LVD is appearing at her status conference?
I'm confused.

I'm confused.

Probably not! I would say if someone has a "problem" - they can discuss it.

I really really want a live reaction to the jurors finding out the whole story after they render a verdict and leave. I know we won't get that, but I'd love to know how they react to knowing how much was withheld from them and how much more there is to this whole story.

Question:

Does anyone think LVD is actually delusional? Delusions of religion, that is.

She's about as narcissist as they come but does she believe she's some kind of elevated being?

There's nothing divine about elevating your sorry self above everyone else's.

Delusional and calculated are two different things.

I'm just curious how y'all would characterize her.

I think she's just delusional enough to make her dangerous, not enough to make her crazy, if that makes sense.

Extreme belief doesn't get people off if they act on violent impulses. Just look at the Manson girls, serving fifty plus years. They believed, and they laughed as they killed, believing it would bring on the end times. They sang at the trial and held hands, walking into court smiling like space cadets. They enjoyed what they did, all of it, murder and trial, and so did Lori.

When it all comes down to the brass tacks with Lori, everything she did was very, very worldly. She murdered for convenience, out of spite, for profit, and for infidelity. Did she believe the stories she told herself that God told her it was okay? Possibly. But that's the danger of a religion that tells you to listen to the 'still small voice' and what it tells you is God's wishes for you. If what you're actually listening to is your selfish desires, but you've decided that it's God's plan you're tapped into, then we end up... here. With four people dead, two children buried in a backyard, and Chad and Lori dancing on a beach in Hawaii, having abandoned all their prepper plans surrounding Rexburg.

THIS, IMO. Deep down, she knows that doing these things for sex and money would make her a monster, so -- in self-preservation -- her Ego has stepped in to convince her that her religious delusions are true and that it's all part of a bigger plan that no one else is special enough to see or understand. That's why she latched onto CD, IMO... because his assurances about her specialness gave her the "out" to do what she'd really been wanting to do all along while still being a "good" person (in her own mind).

IMO:
If LVD was pressed on does she actually believe she's an "elevated being" and on a divine mission from God I could see her defending her beliefs about herself and using Jesus as an analogy.
According to the Bible Jesus's family and friends at times thought he was insane and delusional.

Both.

Delusional: Lori still believes she will be exonerated one day. Or the walls of prison will magically open, so that she and prophet Chad will be together again to continue their “mission”.

Calculated: Using her baby voice, girly giggling, long blonde tresses to charm the male jurors.

(One must admit, for a prisoner, she has good hair).

Nate Eton said he made contact with the court about wanting to interview jurors after the verdict.
If he gets to do that and LVD's prior evil deeds and convictions are discussed hopefully no juror accidentally admits or alludes to they already knew something about TR,JJ & TD.
Jurors have been known to slip up or be misinterpreted and the defendant's legal team is all over it.

I think she’s a psychopath. Doesn’t think or feel like most of us. So while I’d choose calculated over delusional, it’s closer to instinctual. She is predatory and her actions serve that purpose.

I think of her like a shark. Having observed her actions and what they have cost those around her, time is wasted trying to get into her head and better spent just staying out of the water when she’s in the vicinity.

She does have a LOT of hair. I'm not fond of her Shih Tzu ponytail look. Hopefully, the majority-male jury won't be impressed by it (or anything else about her) either.

Justin Lum's guest (judge MacDonald) thinks that if Lori is found guilty in Charles' case (which he believes will happen very quickly), the prosecution will move to dismiss Brandon's case for judicial economy. IMO Lori would see this as a victory, but it would also deprive her of attention.

It’s the “lyceum from the back, museum from the front” look.

Not saying older women can’t wear long hair, we most definitely can, but after a certain age you just have to leave the cheerleader look behind.

True Crime Arizona corespondent Brianna Whitney said this.

The reporter said" there's quite a few older men on the jury"
