Oh boy, the judge, had to interupt. Court reporter needs a break.

This is too long for everyone.

She's made every point three times.

(She said she has fewer than 5 minutes left. )
Someone said there were four objections, three about Tylee and JJ.

I can't speak for thr jury but I quit summarizing because it was repetitive and tedious.

Thank you Megnut. I got so sleepy. Guess it was too much for us who know the details.

I only noticed one but maybe there were others during my cat nap, somewhere around lap 3.

I hope someone compiles them. Of like to know what LVD thought warranted Objection. Doubt any were granted.

I only heard the one interruption by the judge mentioning his court reporter would soon need a break. But, after the first hour and ten minutes, she was losing me.

Most of the jurors/alternates are men. If I know one thing from having 30-plus years to chat with my husband (friends, contractors working on my house), it is that men are not particularly amenable to listening attentively to long, drawn-out, uninterrupted argument. Patience might be a virtue, but that doesn't mean it's prevalent.

Right off the bad, "my husband Charles".....

LVD reads the last lines of the jury instructions.

"If the State doesn't meet its burden, you must find me not guilty."

Self-Defense is a crime.

A gun was fired.
911 was called.
LE arrived...

We learned that we were told to stay by the car.

We learned that we asked for T's medicine but didn't get it.

Wha huh?

That's a big time jump.

  • #168
More like CV made sure JJ was comfortable in the car, came back in to address some concerns with LVD and took his phone out to record the conversation, with full transparency. And that's why LVD took it from him, so he couldn't.

JMO

The whole cell phone story is suspect in my eyes since it came from LVD's lying lips. And there is no way I believe CV left an autistic rambunctious JJ sitting alone in the front seat of a running car. IMO this was an ambush by LVD and her brother and then a made up story to cover up the ambush. JMOO

LVD is highlighting how very cooperative they all were.

You determine my demeanor, not anyone else.

LVD just got a sentence struck.

Hard to tell which part because she blurted like the sentences at once.

  • #171
Blaming investigators for evidence that LORI did not submit.

We learned that lawyering is hard. And best left to professionals.

She's talking so fast I can't catch the objections!

This. Was. Self. Defense.

Sigh.

Oh, really?

CV could have put the bat down.

(What about the phone she didn't give back?)

Jury is going home

She is trying to exploit “holes” in the evidence to make it look like she is being railroaded by the State after investigators originally concluded at the time of the shooting that this was a justified killing (self-defense). That can be effective.

  • #177
Now her voice is shaky, cryful.....

What evidence is there that I wanted harm to come to my husband? I even prayed for him.

LVD: the State is trying to retrofit...

It's not a crime. It's a family tragedy.

She is still trying to testify in her closing. 🙄
