3:16 p.m. - Lori Vallow Daybell gets up to cross-examine Sgt. McDermott. She asks whether he was a scene agent and who else was on the scene that day.
3:14 p.m. - Prosecutor asking about Gilbert PD finding and taking Alex Cox's truck to Gilbert PD. She's asking about processing Cox's truck and how they were able to take the infotainment system out to analyze. The state has no other questions for this witness.
3:11 p.m. - Lori objects to the state introducing photos of the Nissan. The prosecutor says it's relevant because they'll see the Nissan on surveillance footage at a storage unit in Idaho.
3:05 p.m. - Sgt. McDermott says he was aware of the Chandler 2019 incident and that the Jeep was at the home at that time.
The prosecutor asks whether he knew Colby Ryan. McDermott testifies that he knew Colby was Lori's son. He says that Colby picked up a Nissan from his mom. The Nissan was later connected to Lori's niece Melani. When they processed the vehicle, the registration was for Alex Cox and Lori Vallow.

3) LVD rented the storage unit
4) LVD helped put the back seat and the wheel/tire from the jeep in the storage unit the day of the shooting
5) LVD sent texts & made calls to herself on AC’s other phone pretending to be him while he is at BB’s to try to give him an alibi
6) LVD searched man shot in Gilbert and news about BB that evening before AC returns to Rexburg in the wee hours of the morning
7) LVD & AC go get the jeep seat & tire/wheel from storage the next afternoon

ETA One of BB’s friends that came over after the shooting is also testifying - not sure what he will add - I think BB also stayed with his family briefly right after the shooting. Other neighbors are also on the state’s witness list.

Not really - in fact state has to dance around the crimes so as not to bring them in and yet still use some of the info from them - such as the pic of the Jeep in LVD’s driveway in July.

*Trial continues (Day 2) (@ 8:45am AZT) – AZ – Brandon Boudreaux (34/now 40) attempted murder on Oct. 2, 2019 in Gilbert, AZ. *Lori Norene Vallow (46 @ time of crime/49/now 52) indicted (2/24/22), charged & arraigned (12/7/23) with 1 count of 1st degree premeditated attempted murder. Plead not guilty. Held without bond. Maricopa County
Jury selection began on 5/30/25 & ended 6/4/25. Jury consists of 12 jurors & 3 alternates [8 women & 7 men].
Trial began on 6/5/25. @9a Times: on 6/6 @ 8:45am, 6/9 @ 10:30am, 6/10 & 6/11 @ 10am, 6/12 @ 10:30am & 6/13 @ 8:45am. The rest so far @ 10:30am.

6/5/25 Thursday, Trial Day 1: Juror #10 was excused for health reasons. Opening statements by Prosecutor Treena Kay & by pro se Daybell.
State witnesses: Brandon Boudreaux. LVD also filed a motion during lunch. It was for a change of judge – again. Beresky says it will be referred to the presiding judge (who already denied an earlier motion). Treena moves to admit Brandon’s call to 911. She plays it in court. LVD will cross-exam Brandon at a later time. Elizabeth Collins [She owned the rental property where Brandon was staying]. Robert Abbatomarco [He rented a home on the street where Brandon was staying]. Nolan McDermott [Sergeant with the Gilbert Police Dept. He has worked there for 18 years. Was also involved in executing a search warrant on Alex Cox’s phone in December 2019]. Kay moves to admit multiple photos of the scene. She displays them on the screen. David Frerer [Detective for the Gilbert Police Dept. & has worked there for 20 years. He is assigned to the violent crime unit].
Tomorrow the detective will be back on the stand & Brandon Boudreaux will be crossed. Trial continues on Friday, 6/6/25 [which is LVD's 52nd birthday].
AZ – Charles Vallow (62) shot & killed on July 11, 2019 in Chandler, AZ. *Lori Norene Daybell-Vallow - Trial of Charles began on 4/7/25 & ended 4/22/25 with GUILTY of all charges. Will be sentenced after Boudreaux trial.
5/29/25 Docket update: Charles: State's motion to file juror affidavit in support of State's response to motion for new trial under seal. 6/3/25 Docket update: Non-party Maricopa County Sheriff & Correctional Health Services notice relating to defendant's health status.
ID – Vallow found guilty of all charges & sentenced to 3 consecutive life sentences without parole on 7/31/23.
