I just don’t understand this evil creature. Does she really think that she didn’t do these horrible things? Or does she think she did them but they were justified… Because the victims were zombies? And if that is what she really believes, why would she go through this farce of defending herself as if she didn’t do them? Just say, yeah, I did it, but it was just something that had to be done… if she really believes that.It is a puzzle too mind-boggling to try to solve.
Thank you for being able to put into words what I've thought but didn't know where to begin putting it into words.

I haven’t read that the jury has asked a single question after any of the witnesses. You’d think they might wonder what this “incident in July 2019” or “incident involving Charles Vallow” is that the prosecution keeps referring to. I know I’d be asking. If it were asked, what could the jury legally be told?
Even knowing what I know about this case if I was sitting on the jury I think I would be asking LD's motive to kill BB which I have yet to figure out so far with what's been brought into evidence and the witness's testimonies.
Unless I missed in Treena's opening where she claimed the state would prove that LD wanted part of BB's life insurance?
I was focused on Karen Read's trial so I may be way off base on what the jurors have already been shown./told in opening.

Does BB have custody of his kids? I recall Melanie had supposedly deemed the kids and Brandon showed up at her house or her parents house demanding the kids. Just wondering if he ever got full custody.

Plus Chaddy’s slap to Lori’s backside.
If it was reported I never read any of the questions the potential jurors were asked in relation to what they knew, if anything about LD.
It's difficult to believe that there are 16 Arizonians that never heard of her.
imo

One of the most fascinating TV trial experiences I've had was watching potential jurors (bodies were off camera) being questioned by the state and defense for the Derek Chauvin trial.

They still share custody,

Peter's chiming in.
All his members were messaging him about LD.
He's been in deep with the KR trial.

I think CD and LD fed off each other, and realized they had the ability to charm/manipulate/ dupe people, decided they belonged together, deputized themselves as eternal  bores beings, conspired to eliminate any and every underworthy threat to their success. And toward that end.

So no religion. No cult. Just two self-serving lovahs who knew they could con Melani pull her into their ego fest, and to cover everybody's expenses, well, hello, looky there, a life insurance policy just waiting to be had.
Like it's a PAYCHECK.

IIRC it was a friend of Melani whose husband is BB's business partner and she told Lauren@ Hidden True Crime that Melani told her that BB and 2 of their children were zombies.
We know that if what she said is true where it came from.
I'm going to look for the interview, she had a lot of insight and she and her husband were with BB the night AC tried to kill him.
imo

Beyond her risk of 'character' evidence being admitted against her (which I would love to see happen!) Lori had another less-noticed set-back today. I hope the prosecutors and the jury picked up on it.

In Lori's opening statement she said that Brandon had a gun and knew how to shoot it, implying that he faked the shooting. But in her cross of Brandon today, when she asked him if he owned a gun he said he didn't back then (but does now!) Clearly flustered, Lori asked if Melani had a gun. Brandon said she did. Lori asked whose name it was registered in, and he said in Melani's name because it's hers and she bought it. Ha!

So it seems that she presumed that Brandon owned a gun at the time but he didn't.

If you zoom in you see the outline of the rack belt under her jacket. She was so worried about that!

Too bad the judge didn't zap her when she got disrespectful. I'd love it if they were able to bring in that she's a 4x murderer.

Its bad. Jury will be wondering why police were at Lori's address with Alex days before for an "incident". Jeep was there. Same plates. Now the calls

I think TK said today they had not planned to bring in financial interest or address motive. The state was walking a fine line here to avoid evidence and testimony of LVD’s prior convictions since withdrawing their notice to bring in those prior convictions. I think they streamlined their witness list and were just going to give the jury what they absolutely needed to convict and motive is not needed - helpful yet but not required to prove motive. However, as LVD keeps cracking that door open a little wider every so often, the state may start crashing thru like a bull in a china cabinet. That’s why TK said at one side-bar that if that’s how defense is going to play this then she will change up her witnesses and address a financial motive after all. I don’t know how far the door has to be cracked for that to happen but I think LVD is getting close. And if the jury hears how she failed in the attempt to get her own husband’s life insurance when he was murdered and hears how she told others that Melani was going to have enough money to take care of everyone, then they won’t have any trouble believing that she orchestrated the attempt to kill Brandon so she could get her greedy little hands on his life insurance and money too. And if the state brings in her killing her kids and keeping their SS and then her involvement with Tammy’s murder and marrying CD so soon after TD’s death & getting her hands on that insurance money…well no problem with them believing BB’s life insurance and his half of the equity in the home was her motive. Funny thing is, I think the money was only part of her motivation just like it was with each of the other 4 murders.
