AZ - Lori Vallow Daybell charged w/ conspiring to kill ex-husband Charles Vallow and another relative, Brandon Boudreaux, Chandler, Maricopa County #6

Does anyone know what the "Letter from Tammy" is about? I just caught that and I can't remember any letter from Tammy Daybell.
Thank you
Someone as probably answered this by now but…Not Tammy Daybell - another Tammy was maybe a lab tech on the case - left the department after an incident where she was intoxicated at a hotel - years after the attempt on BB. There was talk of LVD wanting her info excluded or something and that was denied but apparently she had some reason she could not attend the trial and wrote a letter - maybe to the court or maybe to the prosecutor - I don’t know. Anyway LVD wanted the letter included for appellate reasons because she thinks judge was wrong to deny her motion about her work.

Yes. I don't know if they even started the verdict watch clock. Back at 10 am tomorrow, I think.
CourtTV started their “verdict clock “ when the Jury was handed the case and they stopped the clock right after 19 minutes.

I’m guessing that’s not even enough time to choose a foreperson.

Thursday, June 12th:

6/11/25 Docket update: Daybell also filed a motion requesting a hearing to “dismiss abuse of discretion.” “Because the motions allege that this Division cannot be fair, the motions will be assigned to the Associate Presiding Criminal Judge,” Chief Judge Jennifer Green wrote. Judge Kevin Wein was assigned the motions & he denied them both yesterday. “Rule 10.1(b)(1) provides that a party ‘may not file a motion after a hearing or trial begins.’ A jury was empaneled in the 2022 matter on June 4, 2025. Trial in the 2021 matter has concluded. These motions, therefore, are untimely. For these reasons, Defendant’s request to remove Judges Green & Beresky for cause is DENIED,” Wein wrote.
The judge has ordered the media not to show the face of the final witness. He is a special agent with the FBI & does undercover work. You will be able to hear his voice, but his face will not be shown on the video feed.
6/11/25 Wednesday, Trial Day 5: State witness:
FBI analyst Nicholas Ballance [works on the CAST team – Cellular Analysis Survey Team. Was asked to analyze the TracFone & other phones belonging to Lori & Alex].
State rests their case. Judge dismisses the jury. Daybell says she doesn’t plan to call witnesses or testify. Judge wants to go over jury instructions now. He starts reading them. Asks if there are any objections.
Daybell is asking for Rule 20. She says the court must acquit her & there was no evidence that proved she conspired. Lori says the only evidence presented is she was placing items in a storage unit & she did some Google searches. She says there is not substantial evidence & the state did not prove it. Judge says the state has presented a compelling case that Alex traveled to Gilbert in an attempt to kill Brandon. He says there is other evidence that shows Lori was aware of Alex’s plans. Judge denies Lori’s request. Daybell rests defense case.
Judge reads the jury instructions to the jurors.
Treena Kay gives closing arguments & Daybell gives her closing arguments. And Kay gives rebuttal closing arguments.
Judge now calls the numbers of the three alternate jurors. Judge's staff sworn in to protect the jury & the jury is excused to begin deliberations (at 2:45pm).
If a guilty verdict comes back, the state intends to have an aggravating phase. During the last trial, Lori waived the aggravating phase. Lori objects to the phase. She says if the court is going to go forward with it, she will stipulate to it. Jurors went home at about 3pm.
Trial continues on Thursday, 6/12/25 @ 10am with jury deliberations.

AZ – Charles Vallow (62) shot & killed on July 11, 2019 in Chandler, AZ. *Lori Norene Daybell-Vallow - Trial of Charles began on 4/7/25 & ended 4/22/25 with GUILTY of all charges. Will be sentenced after Boudreaux trial.
ID – Vallow found guilty of all charges & sentenced to 3 consecutive life sentences without parole on 7/31/23.

Wow.

Just like that, it's over. She's going to rest.

Will she file a viral rash of motions over the lunch hour for why her dehydrated, fearful, translated, herpetic self isn't ready with her closing argument and would like a recusal, mistrial, continuance, portal, salve?

LMAO!

There will be some form of shock/drama coming from those lips.

I watched this on delay today. But my 'gasp' moment was when Nick Ballance said that Alex went to the area where Melani lived, before heading off to Brandon's neighborhood.

Another major blow for Melani!! You are next, girl!
Snoopster, I was working while watching the trial and missed a lot of details. Do you or anyone else happen to remember what time AC was in MBP’s area?

I don’t have the best eye sight anymore and between the odd handwriting of LVD and the poor quality of the doc I saw I could not read her latest motions but have gathered they were as crazy as she is. Has anyone seen a transcribed copy or know of a YouTube video where someone read them or anything?

Tricia read them in the Websleuths livestream yesterday -- starting about a minute in.

Sorry, but what were the major points of evidence the Prosecution used for their closing arguments to the jury?

Rebuttal - read from the bottom up. :)

2:39 p.m. Treena again mentions that Lori held on to Alex’s phone for days while he was gone for days without the back tire and without the rear seat. “That is part of the plan. That is the assisting, that is the promoting, that is the conspiracy that this defendant wants you to pretend doesn’t exist. We don’t need words. We have actions. They are obvious. And they’re done by this defendant and her co-conspirators. Regardless of how many people want to cry up here. This is not evidence. The evidence shows this defendant is guilty. I ask you to find her guilty.” Nothing further.

2:38 p.m. Treena says the four of them – Lori, Chad, Alex and Melani – all worked together. This case “screams to you a conspiracy by this defendant, Chad Daybell, Melani Boudreaux and Alex Cox. Everything they did leading up until Oct. 2 shows you a way to cover up and prepare for the murder of Brandon Boudreaux.”

2:36 p.m. Treena says the defendant would have you believe that Brandon was working with law enforcement to “get her.” She tries to present “innocence and sadness and family history. She agains misrepresents what was shown you at trial. She ignores the facts and evidence of a very obvious long plan. A plan that started when she began meddling in Melani and Brandon’s marriage. When that marriage was finally ending, she continued to help her neice Melani.” Treena says Melani is the subject of multiple investigations.

2:35 p.m. Lori says the things this family has been through is a tragedy. After six years, it’s time to heal. Lori has nothing further. Treena will now rebuttal.

Judge Beresky has issued an order denying that last motion to dismiss. It's a satisfying read. He calls her out for making up court names, and for malingering.

ORDER DENYING the Defendant's Motion to Dismiss.

The Defendant requests the "Maricopa County Supreme Court or Court of appeals" dismiss her case. There is no such thing as the Maricopa County Supreme Court nor the Maricopa County Court of Appeals. Perhaps the Defendant intended her Motion to be submitted to the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division 1, but it was not; it was filed with this Court and therefore the Court must rule.

The Defendant's Motion urges a number of narratives that are verifiably false upon review of both the written record and the For the Record (FTR) recording of the trial. Given the Defendant continues to argue she was physically unable to proceed to trial, the Court will supplement the existing record to note the following:

In order to further assess whether the Defendant’s purported illnesses were impacting her ability to proceed, the Court continued to observe the Defendant throughout the trial. The Court observed that while the jury was present in the courtroom, nothing in the Defendant's mannerisms, voice, as well as her interaction with the court or witnesses, would cause this Court to suspect her health was in any way negatively impacting her ability to proceed.

On Monday June 9, 2025, after the filing of this Motion, the Defendant again argued she was not able to proceed with trial when she reported a new medical issue. Later that same day upon finishing her cross of witness Marianne Robb and the State was re-directing this witness, the Defendant was even observed to be laughing, smiling and conversing with her advisory counsel, appearing to be in very good spirits, exhibiting no impairment whatsoever.

The Court continued its observation through the remainder of trial including closing arguments. The Court observed no outward appearance of the Defendant experiencing any distress or difficulty in acting and advocating as her attorney.

The record supports the decision to move forward with trial over the Defendant's objection.

IT IS ORDERED DENYING the Defendant's request for oral argument on this issue.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED DENYING the Defendant's Motion to Dismiss.

His phone was using cell towers near her house from 702am to 718am. The phone was near Brandon's house after that time.

This judge must be wondering HOW in the world this woman ever managed to hook FIVE men, their wealth, and whatever else they valued into marriage with her.

The lure far exceeds the catch.

Thanks Smelly. I remembered he was there but could not remember the times. This series of trials has spanned several years and this brain of mine does not remember quite like it used to :)

One of Justin’s Twitter followers adjusted them, but it’s still too hard for my eyes lol. It’s the weird handwriting with no spaces between words.
