Uncle
Glad to hear there's a lot of blow-back to Nate having given LD a spewing platform.

I assume that even after shutting it down after 5 mins LD remained glowing, exuberant hearing her own voice throughout.
IMO

She had a list of talking points prepared and Nate had his list of pointed questions. She was taken aback by a few for a second, but quickly found a way out by denial, excuse, deflection or counter-attack.

Nate asked her why she didn't tell the authorities from the beginning that it was all God's plan, to which she replied (while making a looping gesture) that she would have been locked up. IMO she prefers jail to a mental hospital and would hate to be labeled a crazy person.

I hope Nate writes a book. What a roller coaster ride that book would be. Probably an editors nightmare, because it would be so long. He is really the one who has been on top of this story from the beginning.

OMG!
Nate tells Peter his job is to talk to people and understand them and he wanted to show the world who LD is.
People really need a reminder Nate?

IMO
People can choose whether to watch it or not.

Nate was one of the first reporters on the case, if not the first, and traveled to Hawaii to confront LVD and CD when they were swanning around like love struck teenagers. He had a helicopter up the day the children's bodies were found, he's put a lot into the case. He deserved the opportunity after all these years to wrap up what he started, and ask her why she didn't tell him then where her kids were, when she had the chance to have her side of the story heard by someone who is not the police, when she now claims she hasn't been able to tell it. He had some brilliant tough questions for her that Keith Morrison just didn't ask.

Again, no one is forced to watch it. Nate is a remarkable investigative reporter and a genuinely remarkable person who does so much for his community.

MOO

I think overall it was a good watch and i picked up on a couple of things - most notably, that Chad threw her under the bus and explained it away. I don't think Lori is delusional in a medical way - she is just a grifter, plain and simple.

... she is just a grifter, plain and simple.
No elegant explanation. No subtle intelligent parsing. No sharing astounding information. "...she is just a grifter, plain and simple." IMO.

Looks like we won't be able to see the state's response her motion. I'd guess because of the medical records.

In the interview Lori denied being excommunicated, but allegedly Nate Eaton's source disputes her claim.

I also wonder how annoyed other inmates must be with her when she tells them that she is on a special mission from God.

Because of the charges and conviction for these serious crimes, church policy dictates a withdrawal of her membership. It most definitely happened regardless of what she said. The policy also dictates that she would be notified in some manner.

Where she moved between Arizona, Hawaii, Texas, back to Arizona, and then Idaho, the process may have been slowed down while they located her membership records. The process was likely completed with her in absentia and handled by the clergy assigned oversight for the jail in Idaho. She likely received a letter informing her of the withdrawal of her church membership.

Megan Conner is interviewing neighbor of the Cox's. Big revelations

That was a lot more useful than another recent interview out there. Just be patient with all the small talk they do, it gets into some good background on the Cox family and LD's beliefs origins. Websluethers and Tricia even play a part in a couple of stories.

So is it worth watching or will it only raise my blood pressure?
She gives me anxiety watching her. My heart starts racing and my hot flashes increase. It's so strange!

Something else she shares in common with Jodi Arias.

Well I broke down and watched the interview. I give Nate credit for asking tougher questions and trying to call out the BS. But every conversation with her is like trying to school a toddler where they just keep answering with "no". No explanation, no dialogue, just "no". I hope everyone has learned their lesson that giving her airtime serves no purpose and no further interviews will be requested.

It was her who asked to be interviewed, under the condition that an unedited version be played (no cutting out or voicing over her ramblings). Her goal was to market herself as a victim/advocate and even a spiritual leader, while denying and ignoring her crimes and the victims. Perhaps she really thinks she can improve her public image.

IMO she failed miserably.
