I'm pretty sure Charles Vallow's sons will have an opinion on this, albeit it may be private.

Thanks so much @Cindizzi for the updates !!

I must have missed something....
Does Lori want to represent herself ??

She won't be doing herself any favors-- I would think for murder conspiracy she or anyone for that matter, would want good and effective defense attorneys.

She sure thinks pretty highly of herself.
IIRC, Leticia S also wanted to represent herself.... until she didn't LOL.

Crazy people generally do.

Hearing video.

I told myself that, since I watched the majority of her Idaho trial, I didn't really need to watch the Arizona one... but I may have to rethink that if they actually let her represent herself.

Whether it is a "good idea" or not for LVD to defend herself depends on who you are and what it is you are trying to do.

From her POV -
From a personal standpoint, being her own attorney means she gets to speak for herself, and say whatever she feels she wants heard (within some limits, to be sure, but lots of latitude is likely to be given). If you are a narcissist who feels you have done (and can never do) any wrong, you are the best person to explain those "truths" (of how she is being woefully misunderstood and persecuted) to all the uninformed. And she may see this as a platform to proclaim how she has been made an elite person for rescuing some from the end times shortly ahead.

Perhaps also of importance to her is that being her own attorney allows her possible openings to say her side of the case WITHOUT having to take the witness stand and be subject to cross examination.

I think those are what she is really working from, because she's always ALL about herself, isn't she?

I don't think the following is on her mind at all, but there's another part of the equation in play.

From a legal POV -- why not?

Although I doubt she really considers it this way (since she "has done no wrong"), what does she really have to lose by representing herself? There's no real downside to her. She will be serving 3 consecutive lifetimes in an Idaho prison before being subject to any sentence from the AZ trial, so obviously whatever happens in this trial will never impact her. Unless she's a cat, of course, in which case she'll be jeopardizing her future enjoyment of lives 6-9!!!

I had the same thoughts. I guess I'll be watching if pro se.

Are they pursuing the death penalty?

There was that case in Florida recently where a defendant was allowed to represent herself for quite a while. Sarah Boone. And in the end it didn’t quite turn out well for that defendant some might believe. Maybe something similar could happen in the LVD case? ;) MOO
