Mum had that last year, and she came through it absolutely fine, so don't stress about it or about keeping on top of things here, just heal up and get well soon.
It's a doddle!

Kudos everyone on this thread. LVD is vanity personified. She thinks she is some sort of "rock star", center of attention for everyone. Once again, the world orbits around LVD.

I agree, she should be tried for Charles Vallow's death, and the attempt on Brandon Bordeaux, but it could be murky. The defense here is stronger, due to the direct involvement of AC in the murder of Charles Vallow. Is there enough evidence to convict LVD of the conspiracy?

I still think that Melanie P, should have been arrested, she has managed to skate out of this muck, when I know she was definitely a party in the conspiracy to kill Brandon Bordeaux.

So agree with you. To this day, I just don't understand how Melani B P has skated through. Brandon seems to have forgiven. She obviously knew about the attempt on Brian and maybe even participated. But she WAS Lori's little protoge too.... she always knew more.

I often wondered if she was given some sort of immunity for her contributions....

LVD, again, controlling what she can in her environment. Why on earth do we coddle people like her? Oh, LVD doesn't want to get up today and go to court. Okay.

Stop the madness! Get her up, and suited like Hannibal Lecter.

During the court proceeding, Vallow spoke to the presiding judge. She answered a series of questions about her being restored to competency in Idaho, saying she took competency classes and met with "many, many evaluators." The presiding judge asked Vallow what she was diagnosed with in Idaho, but the defense rose to object that line of question.

Eventually, the presiding judge said that, per Vallow's prior attorneys, she suffers from delusions, and that by Vallow's own account, she was deemed incompetent for 10 months in Idaho. He said the Rule 11 process should continue based on those factors. Prosecutors then suggest appointing a replacement doctor if the defense is uncomfortable, as the doctor in question reportedly saw a television program on Vallow. The defense eventually motioned for a replacement, which was granted by the presiding judge.

As for the issue on whether Vallow can represent herself in court, the presiding judge said if she does represent herself, she can go to trial as soon as she is ready.

Kinda crazy (to me) that when the defense asked the Judge if he read the reports, the judge asked “what reports?” Defense then mentioned they were attached to their hand delivered motion and Judge then spent time in Court.

I saw on some social media people calling out her female attorney for saying she’s “never seen anything like this” heard on the mic when she was talking with Lori, maybe she really hasn’t seen this before…the Judge essentially asking “what are you even referring to?” May not happen all that much. When speaking to the judge in the latest hearing, Lori was asked if she was ever declared incompetent. Her reply was, "Not to my understanding". She seemed to imply that her mental hospital stay in Idaho was just one long evaluation, out of which she emerged competent.

Lori has a new do.
Oh barf! Like that makes her less of a murderer? Why is she allowed all this access to ability to fix up her hair and makeup???

Lori has a new do.

I’ve been told that when the color is different from the back part of the hair, that it’s called ‘money pieces’. The hair that frames her face. A professional please weigh in.

She does look better today, her hair and makeup looks better. From a distance she looks a bit like Meg Ryan. She may have asked for early holiday gifts, specifically beauty products.

Her female attorney seems out of breath the entire time. It was hard to watch. Maybe she was ill recently?

So - in the article above - it says:

A judge has ruled that a competency evaluation process for Vallow should continue.
and the court site has this - So I am going to assume the next hearing WILL be 12/5/24.
No docket update yet.

Hicks said her client has already spoken briefly with one mental health evaluator in Arizona and Maricopa County prosecutors asked Beresky to order Daybell to speak with another expert, to which her defense team objected.

“We’re going down a rabbit hole,” said defense attorney Robert Abernathy as Daybell nodded her head. “If she doesn’t want to talk to the doctors, she doesn’t have to talk to the doctors.”

Despite arguments against the Rule 11 evaluation, Beresky said it will remain in place and another expert will evaluate Daybell. The next hearing in the case is scheduled for Dec. 5.

I think the judge needs to insist on the Mental health evaluation as a condition of being able to represent herself. Otherwise she'll represent herself, and later claim that she was insane/not mentally competent to get it all thrown out.

On Thursday, a mental health expert is expected to submit to a judge in Phoenix the second of two required mental evaluations, which will determine whether she stands trial next year or is committed to a mental hospital for treatment.

It is possible that the mental health evaluation will not be released on Thursday.

The judge may take it under advisement.

Lori Vallow’s trial is tentatively set to begin on Feb. 24, 2025.
