This m.e. explains Patsy Jones and Giota Kostas (both in the vehicle when incident occurred):

http://www.courtminutes.maricopa.gov/docs/Criminal/082012/m5367688.pdf

So- the mystery is solved on who Patsy is. Thanks geevee and Bernina. :seeya:

"the Court notes that two separate individuals were present at the scene and were clearly within the zone of danger created by the gunfire. Defendant knew these two individuals were present because they were in the Kia vehicle with him when it was stopped. Specifically at the time Defendant allegedly starting shooting, Giota Kostas was handcuffed and seated in Officer Goitia’s patrol car, and Patsy Jones was still seated in the Kia vehicle."

Giota Kostas aka Gonzales: http://www.azcorrections.gov/inmate_datasearch/results_Minh.aspx?InmateNumber=162933&LastName=KOSTAS&FNMI=G&SearchType=SearchInet
The Defendant is charged with the crime(s) of: In CR 2006-110539: Dangerous Drug
Violation, class 2 felony, committed on 02/26/2006; In CR 2007-155744: Dangerous Drug
Violation, class 4 felony, committed on or about 04/23/2007.

She had a release date of 11/05/2012 from Perryville.

Kind of weird that the 2 individuals with Husley were noted in MSM as "a woman", a "man and woman" and now we have the minutes saying "2 women" (Kostas and Jones). Only the court knows for sure!

All the way through the motions I was so conflicted, this guys seems like an a-h*le of the first order, at one moment I'd think 'JA's retrial was delayed for this %#@! dude?' and the next 'He needs to be before a jury like yesterday, get on with it!'. I can see why they delayed hers to finally get his show on the road, but I wouldn't be surprpsied if he doesn't try to wrangle some kind of roadblock, he's been quite good at it for the past several years.

Let's just hope he doesn't try a "media blitz" like CMJA!!!!

I've only been waiting since the March trial date for this and it seems like it's taking forever!

I *think* the standard is for cameras from the local media pool. MSM would have to submit for an approval to have their cameras because the size of the standard courtroom only has space for one camera and operator, without having to move the trial to another court room or building.
The Arias trial was moved to a larger courtroom before it began specifically because of the motion granted to Court Tv/HLN to broadcast.
So it comes down to what the court can accommodate, given the time period of the trial and the courtrooms available.
Local news stations have a protocol of local, county, state news being more significant to their viewership as far as where they put their camera crews...ie, does it effect the average Phoenician? Fires, city/county/state legislation, auto accidents on main thoroughfares, shootings, drownings, criminal investigations, etc, etc, etc.

I kinda wonder if after the Arias/HLN "thing", Judges in Maricopa county might not want MSM in their courtrooms?

Honestly, the defense, some witnesses, and HLN "milked" everything they could out of that trial as far as motions and revenue. I don't think CMJA would have been on the stand as long, LaViolette (sp), nor her ilk making "face time", and the constant motions from the defense about "misconduct" from various parties had HLN NOT been there. :twocents:

AGREE!
After JA and Zimmerman spectacles, I think we are seeing more subdued media attention at trials and not so much televising. Unfortunately, sensationalism impacts the trial process and who knows, possibly the outcome. However, as a former media-type (newspapers) I like cameras and streaming in the courtroom.

BH and team have pulled every trick in the book to get this trial delayed. He's running out of time and I think the judge is not going to give any wiggle room. Plus, everyone knows JA is next at bat. I am optimistic jury selection will begin on time May 12.
:please:

"The incident began around 7:30 a.m., when an officer pulled over a vehicle in the area of 60th and Oregon avenues.

“I believe there was either the lack of a license plate or some type of problem with the license plate,” Conrad said. “The officer who pulled the vehicle over called for back-up and Officer Holly responded. At least two of the folks in the vehicle were wanted on warrants.”

After removing one of the suspects from the vehicle and handcuffing him, Holly went to remove one of the other two suspects still in the vehicle, when the man came at him, brandishing a weapon, and shots were fired.

While witnesses reported hearing multiple gun shots, Holly was shot only one time, Conrad said."

Thanks for finding that Y/N, nice compliation of events to date - and the frustration by all concerned (except the defendant, of course) with how long this has taken to get to trial.
