Taking all the emotion out of this, is there any concrete evidence so far that indicates Hulsey shot and killed Officer Holly?

Has too much time passed?

I think, the way this trial is showing, that it's hard for me to tell about evidence without actually seeing the trial, etc.
I just don't understand why Hulsey had to shoot anyone at the time.
