357 mag gun powder according to the book can travel 12ft. Dr says depends on what kind of powder in the ammo #bryanhulsey

Officer Holly didn't have stippling or soot on his face #BryanHulsey

Def whips out a book called gunshot wounds. They ask Dr about abrasion around bullet wound. They say 357 mag somex's won't leave abrasion

I don't quite understand the disfigurement comment, he was shot through one side of his face and it exited the other side (sounds like a lot of disfigurement going on already), however I do understand that the defense is saying those fragments would prove the bullet wasn't from Hulsey's gun (lie lie lie) but that seems like a weak reasoning not to have removed them from a deceased person who was going to be cremated and rob the defendant of his illogical (lie) defense.

Carry on, just had to rant a little there. lol

If I understood correctly, there were tiny fragments with no forensic value - and because they were embedded in the skull, the ME would have had to literally take the bone apart to get them (I hope that's not too graphic).
Even if the family didn't want a 'viewing', it sounds like it had little scientific value, and the action to remove them might have been destructive on it's own. I don't even want to think about he mechanics of it.

I'm gun-stupid, so I apologize if I'm way off about that (based solely on tweets, and limited knowledge of anatomy).

Thanks for all the replies, it just seems to me that the 'no forensic value' reasoning would have been better than 'disfigurement' during trial where the defendant is trying to use the lack of the fragments as a starring pillar in his defense. I don't want the jurors to get caught up in Hulsey's bull**** logic mode for one second.

Defense is saying photo of X Ray shows fragments smaller then they actually are on Off Holly's head #bryanhulsey

Unless Az law has changed, if you are present and part of the commission of a crime and it goes South, ie, someone dies, you are just as responsible as the person who actually did the killing.
Hulsey was in a vehicle with a doctored registration, meth pipe, drugs, and was a prohibited possessor in possession of a firearm.
When he pulled his firearm, he was in the commission of a crime, "resisting arrest", "firing upon LE".
I would think either way, he'd be up on 1st degree murder, no matter who's bullet struck Holly.
I just give Patsy Jones a lot more validity to her testimony. She has nothing to gain or loose. No plea bargains, no deals, and she's battling cancer that's come out of remission.
All she wanted to do was pick up her kids.:twocents:

I'd think so too, JM will likely bring that up in closing, I'd imagine.

Did you leave the fragments in the body due to a phone call from Detective Bustos? No. I'm sensitive to damaging his face #bryanhulsey

Dr- last thing he wants to do is disfigure victim, if justice demands it he will but in this case didn't feel it was needed #BryanHulsey

It seems that I'm always disgusted with the defense of the trials I've seen. They always make up some impossible scenarios for/with their clients.
