I blame LE for not investigating this back then...gma says they didn't know anything about drugs...didn't LE call mom and ask her about the backpack! bio mom should have been called!:furious: biomom should have known there was drugs around...she is supposedly a recovering addict...usually addicts know when someone else is a addict:banghead: MOO biomom knew

I've been in recovery for 17 years and unfortunately it isn't that easy. Addicts are very good at hiding things, keeping secrets and covering things up.

Addicts whether they are in recovery or not also make great co-dependents.

Just watched the beginning of JVM where bio-grandma is asked about the 6 month split between CP and Sylar's mom and I didn't hear anything about CP allowing another person to take care of Sylar without Charity's knowledge. It does sound like G-ma isn't really sure about some of the details surrounding the arrangement.

It was written across the bottom of the screen during the show, I believe. Unless I misunderstood it.

Well, that is a pretty good summary of the case...

Have any of the other campers talked about CP's demeanor during the search ?

The one I'm thinking you saw says: "Sylar Newton's mom allegedly shared custody of him with a friend of hers."

The wording is very vague because Sylar has both a biological mom and a custodial mom. Also its strange that they do not use CP's name instead of "a friend". Since we know who the "friend" is it sounds like it is a new person who's identity has not been revealed.

I've done stuff like that before, sometimes it seems like Nancy's words don't match up to the pictures with captions she uses. The verb tenses aren't the same. Especially. When. She. Talks. Like. This.

I am not sure, but don't think we have heard a peep out of any of the other campers. All that is said is they heard Sylar talking up until about 9 p.m. on the date of his disappearance....

Charity's mother said they had no idea that Christina used drugs. On Charity's facebook page in her blog she wrote that last November Sylar overdosed on drugs the babysitter had left within his reach and was taken to the hospital and they didn't think he would live but then he did. It sounds like Sylar's life had been in danger for a long time. I'm surprised CPS wasn't involved when he went to the hospital overdosed on drugs. Sylar was in Tina's custody at that time.

I missed this post. Wow, there really was a great deal of denial going on. This could have been the babysitter that reported that CP had dope stored in Sylar's bag. CP pointed the finger at the babysitter and the babysitter pointed at CP. CP would have made Charity believe it was the babysitters fault.

Doesn't make sense to me why CPS didn't step in and tell CP that she couldn't be the custodial parent since it doesn't sound like it was a legal arrangement with the courts. I would've thought that CPS would've called Charity and made sure that Sylar was returned to his biological family.

That is as much as I've heard also.

Maybe we haven't heard from them because LE told them not to talk to the media.

If they heard Sylar talking they had to have been pretty close.

I hope LE arrests someone. I hope even more that they will find Sylar. :beats:

I camp often and yes in a tent, when I do utilize a campground I can tell you I do hear the people around me, example was at a campsite a couple of weeks ago for two night. Out of the eight tent pads out there, and no they were not on top of each other, I could see or hear approx. four the first night. And then the second saw or heard at least six. But you also run into people as you head to the pit toilet and if you mosey around which most do in wilderness campgrounds, you do see the others briefly. So I can see where they heard him, you really cannot help but hear others. So I agree they probably have been asked not to speak to media.

I also believe everyone involved is not telling the whole truth. People are covering their butts. This is to include Bio mom and adopto mom. I am not saying Bio mom is guilty, but I don't believe she was in the dark as much as she professes about the character or TP....IMHO

OH and on NG, The bio grandma, she lives in flagstaff where her grandson lived, so her feigning ignorance does not sit right with me either. I think everyone is trying to sound like great parents, and I don't believe this is the case. again MY OPINION

How can anyone hurt an ugly little boy, or a little girl or any baby..... I don't get it.... I never have and I never will.

  • #274
OT but the title of this thread..."camping with family #3" kind of seems like this poor little fellow's situation...too many different "families" and yet no one took care...

(I know it just means thread #3 but it caught my eye).

I hear you... all babies, children regardless of their appearance, gender etc. are beautiful and it will never ever make one bit of sense when someone hurts them.

I am just sick about this little boy...and there are probably thousands of other little kids in dangerous situations just like this one, "accidents" just waiting to happen. Very sad in this so-called civilized country. We don't take good enough care of the very young or the very old. :(

Am I allowed to copy and paste a comment that was on the Daily Courier web site in response to an article about Syler Newton being missing? This person says he or she was there camping when he went missing and made this comment:

Article comment by: WAS THERE

We were there camping this weekend and if you ask any other camper that witnessed this tragedy, look at the family would be the first comment out of their mouths. I hope the lil guy is found, but chances are that he is no longer at that site.

I don't know how to make a link to this so if I'm not allowed to post this, mods please remove it. Thanks!

I found it Lars, it was in section 1, could only copy and paste as don't have the "quote" ability when jumping from 1 to 3.

Here it is

This is unbelievable to me :furious:

Everyone failed this child....

Just skimming through this thread. I agree.

My gut tells me they killed him or he died because of their negligence. I think it was an accident and they went to great lengths to cover it up, to include the mysterious hispanic man (God, that crap really chaps my butt :furious: ).

But I gotta say ... I have good friends who could never have children.
Because of year-long missionary work overseas, their income fell below the level they could be approved to adopt, even though when they applied they had steady good paying jobs. They were turned down again and again and had to go out of country to find a little one to adopt. She is the luckiest little girl, just precious and loved beyond description. So hearing about people like this being allowed to adopt also chaps my butt. Big time.

I so agree with this...........we are hearing on here constantly about women who have put men before there biological children and kids being killed by being abused or neglected...

I too have a couple of friends who can not have children.....

Here in Australia it is almost impossible to adopt a newborn baby.....my friends were on this waitlist and as my friends husband was 10 years older than her by the time they started getting to the top he was too old....these are people that when their dog died they were devastated for ages.......

The 2nd couple became foster parents so it would help with the adoption process, and because they love kids........but same thing the waitlist is huge......they tried to adopt a child (girl) from china and she was told she was obese and not healthy enough.......they went back to fostering and have taken on chidren that are deemed "very damaged".........thankfully now they are in the process of adopting a foster child, who was a shaken baby and whose mother has gone to jail for what she had done to him.......she would not tell me the extent of the abuse he had endured...

and we are screaming out for foster parents due to the number of children in care.....

sometimes the world seems really unjust doesnt it.

•We now have a nefarious gawking Hispanic stranger that the custodial mother forgot about for over a week but she now believes COULD have been involved in the disappearance of Sylar.
•We now have another missing child case that has gone criminal and turned Hinky on
=================================================
BELOW IS KAT'S POST (thread 1 page 286 on 7/27 @1:40 am
Tina Priem can't explain it but a strange feeling came over her and that caused her to wake up in a panic. When she looked around that was when she found her soon to be adopted son Sylar was gone. (reporter)

TP: I just want my baby to come home. Safe.

Reporter: Through her tears, Tina Priem, tries to explain what happened to her soon to be adopted son Sylar. Sylar curled up to his adoptive Grandmother and an hour later Tina says she woke to a panic.

TP: I woke up around 2 AM and he was gone. I got up hysterically and woke up everybody at the campsite. Then (or and) my Baby's missing. They all started searching for him and looking for him.

Reporter: Within minutes, Tina called police and a short time later they were scouring the site as much as everybody else. Even bringing out search dogs.

TP: I think with him being with no shoes, that he wouldn't have gotten as far as what they've even searched.

Reporter: That's why Tina believes someone has Sylar.

TP: I do feel like someone took him yes.

Reporter: Why?

TP: Because they can't find--the bloodhounds or whatever the dogs they had out there---only traced him for a little ways. They haven't found his body. (kat response: WTH?)

Reporter: Tina says there was a man near the campsite that bothered her.

TP: There was a male Mexican man in his 30's --kept staring at us all day the day before---he was on his phone, he was talking like hours in front of his truck. A white truck from right across us.

Reporter: That's why if someone does have Sylar Tina has this plea.

TP: Please bring my baby back. Please just bring my baby back.

Reporter: She even has a message for Sylar himself.

TP: I love you Sylar and I miss you very much baby. Please come home to me.

Reporter: Tina tells me she will continue to cooperate with police and do everything in order to get Silar back.

(Kat comment: Facial language is way off. LE is going to be very interested in watching this video)

This shows that whoever wrote that article is off on their facts as we know Tina reported the mexican story the next morning to the news. Not LE. Kat's trans scribble is from the video news report from monday morning and Kat was up late monday night posting into tuesday morning. Not that Tina isnt still "hinky" . I just like for the facts to be kept straight helps from people trying to discredit us.
