I really wish we could hear something...anything from LE or the media. Where are you little guy?

I wish people would just get involved. We were in a hotel this weekend, and 3 young kids were running up and down the hall. I looked outside, didn't see a parent, so called the front desk. They checked and knew immediately who they belonged to. I called back 10 minutes later to make sure they were okay. It was quite late, and they were safely tucked away in their room.

We all have to do our part, or we're going to see more and more of this. Heaven forbid one of those children had gone missing - I never would have forgiven myself. There was a back door any child could have walked out of :(

MOO

Mel

AMEN!!!! There are children who are not as well taken care of as my own and somebody has to look out for them. I have "butted in" many a time but for the safety and welfare of a child, not because I wanted to start trouble. Just sayin.

Human remains found outside northern AZ campground, may be 2-year-old Sylar Newton

RIMROCK, AZ - Authorities believe skeletal remains found Tuesday are that of a 2-year-old Arizona boy missing since July 24.

Yavapai County sheriff's spokesman Dwight D'Evelyn says the remains were found less than 2 miles away from the Beaver Creek Campground near Rimrock, where 2-year-old Sylar Newton was last seen the night of July 24.

Sylar was camping with his custodial mother and her family. Rimrock is about 40 miles south of Flagstaff.

JVM is also reporting that it is believed to be Sylar

found at the bottom of a wash too.

I am so so sorry to read this news.
Bless you little one, sweet dreams.

Oh no...what does this mean? Did they not search far enough? Or is this where he was placed?

I hate to think he may have been saved if only the dogs had gone further and not circled back.

JVM has this on...I wonder if they can determine cause of death.

Thank goodness Sylar has been found. RIP Sylar.

So sad. Reports are saying that he was at the bottom of a wash and with the flash flooding it is really hard to say where the body started, but where he was found likely wasn't it.

I said today: please let this be the day he comes home. BUT... I didn't want him coming home this way... my heart breaks. :(

So Sad, R.I.P. Little Sylar.

Will someone explain what a wash is? I know of retention ponds where water runs off into, would a wash be the same?
TIA

A wash is like a dry creek bed, when it rains these fill up and then dry out quickly Hope that helps

We have dry riverbeds, creekbeds until it rains. They are called a wash.

I just heard about Sylar, or that the remains are believed to be Sylar. Would the remains already have been skeletonized?

ETA: He was last seen on July 25th. Just seems to soon for total decomposition.

RIP, Sylar.

Is the wash downstream from the creek at the camp?
