Hi
Well,I don't think this little boy is going to be well with 8 months of therapy.I do think he needs therapy and my heart does go out to this little boy. What provoked this?Yes,I do think 1000 swats is way too many.I really don't think people needing to hitting thier child this much.It makes me mad and I don't think the mother had anything to do with it.It's just real sad for every one.

If this crime was planned, as the St. Johns police has stated, how did the boy know the two men would not enter the house at the same time? It would not have been possible to shoot both victims with a 6 second reload delay. One, or both, would have easily overpowered the child.

He would have known his dad's habits and Tim's also. From what Mrs. Romans said her husband always called her when he returned from work everyday.

You are assuming that the habit of after-work cell phone conversation with Mr. Roman's wife was constant (daily). The boy may have considered that, but the chance of him depending on it to take the most dangerous chance of his short life is guestionable. Would you?
Please remember that he was filing for divorce and had proposed marriage to a St Johns woman the night before his death.
Also remember that he has prior drug charges.

In the court documents it says Tim called his wife from his truck after work every day. It sounds like he continued to talk and maybe smoked outside before going in. His cigarettes and lighter were found on the ground. Most likely did this everyday and the kid knew it.

The kid knows step mom won't be home, shoots dad in the stairway enough to incapacitate him. Calls Tim and shoots him, goes back and make sure dad wasn't "alittle bit alive" yet and shoots him again.

I think the kid is a big liar and lies just fall right out of his mouth, that's how it sounds in the court documents. Not only did grandma say he was capable of killing so did grandpa... people who know him best

Well I wouldn't harm anyone......so NO, but murderers are high risk takers so yeah if I was one of those and knew the victims' habits....I would. It was over very quickly for each of these men imo.

What does that have to do with being murdered? Unfortunately many women and men have affairs and get divorces.

Yes, I do know it was PRIOR. When it happened, I have no clue....it could have been years ago when he was a young man. If the St John's police department had any arrest on either one of them they would have to disclose that to the defense attorney. I know of no arrest in the town that this happened in and what happened in a town a 170 miles away once upon a time is irrelevant imo.

I agree.

And you are right, smoking was not allowed in the Romero home.

I think his 1,000 story is just one of the many lies he has told before.

Hi
Well,we don't know if he is lying about anything yet.Grandma and grandpa said the little boy could do it because they were too rough on him. They apparantly thought there was a reason why he did it.

The boy's story is right. He could not have shot Mr. Romans once in an arm and twice in the chest with the .22 described by the St. John's Police Department. It takes at least six seconds (not counting nerves and adrenline flow to reload). The kid would have to be the coolest killer ever.
A grown man gets the shakes hunting and can hardly reload a double barrel 12 gauge shotgun. Often there are more full shells on the ground than in a pocket.

I cannot get past that there was 'nothing' done to this boy by this father. I believe 1000 spanks is abuse. That's horrible. We shouldn't be hitting children anymore. That's such old school.

But it has to be beyond spanking. And the posts above, I really don't think an 8 yr old has the mental capacity to think about serious planning. I think he just made a decision and carried it out. It just happened that he managed to kill both men.

I just don't believe that Shock. The sounds heard by the neighbors (2) are consistent with a single bolt action. It is a very fluid procedure and this gun belonged to this boy. He was very familiar with how it worked.

All of this was over in a minute maybe less for each one imo. I think we will find out that the chest shots to Romans was fired very close in proximity to the porch within just a few feet.

What made these shots more lethal is they were fired at a close range than what a 22 rifle is intended for and if he used hollow points more damage would be sustained with each shot.

He may have shaken after it was over but I think he was honed in on what he was doing at the time.

What the priors for Mr. Romans has is motive. The state needs a motive. Spankings seems to be their answer.
St. Johns Police department and Apache County Sheriff's department are taking the easily way out. The fact that Apache County leads the state in meth has not been addressed. And won't be. What about the five one hundred dollar bills in the crime scene photos?

Hi
I don't know.He may be right about a different gun.The transcripts say there was a different looking casing between Mr Romans head and hand?

That is just semantics, Shock. Yes, this was his gun. His father gave him the gun iirc when he turned 8, he will turn 9 on 12-29. It has been discussed ad nauseum that this gun had been his father's as a boy and he then gave it to his son.

I have more than that on me right now. I have never done any kind of illegal drugs or sold drugs.

The those court documents they say that all the casings found near the body were from the 22. They did say there were larger caliber guns in the home but were not used. The police said in court the kid told lie after lie... so we do know he lied. The grandparents said THIS 8 year old was capable of murder AND that dad was strict...a combo.
