What nationality is MS' mom?

Also seems the evidence is suggesting that DM was the one who pitched the phone (and discarded the body at the farm)?

Looks that way. But I wonder why he would not have kept MS to help him move her body into the barn. Did MS have to get home for a reason...was MM there waiting for him.. Was she freaking out wondering where he was like the night they murdered Tim?

Will Mark say they partied all night then DM and LB dropped him off. She was alive last time I saw her....outside the home. DM murdered her on his own...

"The mapped phone records suggest he may have picked her up from the Kipling subway not far from his house: The phones of both Babcock and Millard hit a cellphone tower near the Kipling station at about 6:30 p.m. A half hour later, their phones were both pinging off the tower near Millard’s Maple Gate home. That same eerie tandem is evident the next day as well.
According to the mapped records, the phones belonging to Smich, Millard and Babcock all began moving west on July 4. Court heard Smich’s phone eventually headed to his Oakville home while those belonging to Millard and Babcock continued to move together in a route along the QEW. Millard’s phone eventually bounced off cellphone towers near his Waterloo-area farm and his aviation company nearby before heading back to Toronto.

The Crown alleges Babcock’s body was being transported west to Millard’s farm in Ayr township where he would later take delivery of the Eliminator, a $15,000 industrial incinerator.

Babcock would never make another outgoing call or text, but her phone was still receiving them from people anxious to find out where she’d gone. And then it died.

The jury heard that shortly after 11 a.m., somewhere around Indian Grove, Mississauga, Babcock’s beloved Blackberry suddenly stopped connecting with cellphone towers along the route. The last connection to the bubbly young woman was gone."
DM and MS could have loaded up the mattress and victim when people showed up. If somebody drove MS home while DM took a back route to find a dumpster? There is a Tim Hortons at the ,end of Indian Grove. He might have tipped the mattress there, disposed of the cell or disabled it and continued on to the farm. MS wasn't needed for that. Speculation.

The one report (which I posted earlier today) suggests that DM travelled with LB's phone to the farm starting out just after midnight July4th and then disposed of her phone around Indian Grove, Mississauga, around 11am July 4th, while MS started out at same time in same direction from same place, but went instead to Oakville.

During yesterday's cross exam, I got the impression that perhaps MS IS planning on taking the stand in this trial as well. (Bad move?)

That would be incredibly risky to dispose of a bloody mattress in a very public place. If anyone had seen, and then gone to check out the mattress, discovered the blood, and then called police, game would have been over immediately. He had a huge parcel of land on which to let it smoulder away, so why take that risk?

No idea? But somewhere along the line, it has left me with the impression she is British.

I myself felt I heard a strong eastern European accent when she yelled at the camera man

Because stupid that's why. Lol but no I don't believe he's THAT brain dead.

I do not recall any of this about MS mom but enough seem to remember something. I do recall LW being hostile. Either way I can imagine how horrifying it must be to find your child accused of such atrocities. Dont recall any evidence or stories of how horrible a mother or person she was or how the neighbour's want her gone. Or any reports of her tampering with evidence like DM mom. Who knows what kind of mom she was..maybe a great fiercely protective mom trying her best to raise her children on her own? Who ended up through no fault of her own with a son like MS. It happens. I hate when people start blaming or trash talking the mom of the accused with no basis. Mothers are blind sometimes when it comes to their kids its just how it is. Is she perfect probly not. Is she highly emotional through this..looks like it. Should she have kept her head down and kept quiet when cameras are after her sure. But i dont see the need to judge and bash her.

And my comments in no way are to diminish the suffering or conduct if the victim or her family here. They are on oppisite sides of the spectrum of this case, obviously.

Agreed on all points. Well said.

I'm pretty certain from looking through some information their background is Polish. But I can't post a link.

I'm Polish myself and Smich definitely does not sound like a polish last name. Unless the father is say German and mom Polish or something like that..

Speaking of whom....is MS' dad around? Don't recall hearing anything about him..

Dad and Mom are divorced. Dad is Smich. Mom would be Polish I believe.

Re: Smich’s Mom. I sat next to her and his sister the day AM testified in the Bosma trial. A lot of guffawing and eye rolling from both of them when AM talked about the instructions he got from MS.

I was not able to play the video of her attacking the camera man from the news station. Does anyone have another source I can try, or would it be possible for some really kind person to post a still shot from the video for us ? It may have something to do with the security on my computer. It said that the news station was not a secure site. Thanks very much.

Reminder:

You may discuss what has been in MSM about family but you may not sleuth them.

Here is the article about MS arrest

http://www.cbc.ca/beta/news/canada/...sma-murder-case-to-plead-not-guilty-1.1305972

Shortly after Smich's arrest, police moved in on a home in Oakville owned by Maria Smich-Grygorcewicz on Montrose Abbey Drive. Hamilton police confirmed the search at that address was related to the Bosma case.

Smich's father 'shocked'

CBC News reached Andrew Smich, Mark's father, on Wednesday afternoon.

"What can I say? I'm shocked," he said of his son's arrest, his voice trembling.

Andrew Smich said he last saw his son on Sunday, as the family gathered for the wedding of his daughter — Mark's sister.

"He was normal," he said of his son's behaviour at the event. "I didn't see any change, any difference."

When asked if he knew whether Mark had associated with Dellen Millard, Smich responded, "Absolutely not."

"He’s not living with me. He’s living with his mother in Oakville."

Smich said he wouldn't answer further questions, including ones about whether his son had ever been in trouble with the law.

"I'm not ready to talk."
