What does MSM stand for and what does it mean to sleuth them, does it mean checking stories about the people?

Wow, the police don't come and politely knock on your door especially when it is an investigation as serious as murder. People are watching too much TV, that is not real life. I have seen what they do. A person in an apt. the building I lived in Oakville was dealing crack cocaine, they were under surveillance for a long time and then one day a large group of police came kick down the apt. door and apprehended the suspect and not in a passive way. Many times in Toronto they will go to addresses of people that they suspect of a crime and they do not knock on the door they usually kick the door down. You want the police to just politely say please I have to investigate a crime so please let me search your apt. that is not how it happens.

MSM = Main Stream Media. FACEBOOK is not MSM and many other sites are not considered MSM.

So if there are stories about the family that appear in MSM you can link it and discuss however, you are not allowed to sleuth the family. They are not Persons of Interest nor are they suspects.

Essentially we leave them alone since we have no business digging into their personal lives.

MS and DM however are sleuthable because they are the suspects and have been charged.

Hope this helps.

If it was a breach of Charter of Rights is there anything to show what legal steps taken by the applicant against the police? I already posted the police in all the raids I am aware of and especially when guns are involved they will kick down the door and do not politely knock at the door, and say hi, guess what I am here.

MSM means main stream media. As I understand it, sleuthing means heavy duty research into the private lives of individuals, and if they are not the accused, members on web - sleuthing are not allowed to write about such things. We can only discuss what has been published in the mainstream media, or stated in court, in front of the jury. In my opinion, these rules are to protect the innocent. If in doubt, ask a moderator. IMO

If MS takes the stand then it is possible he will say that he knows DM killed Laura and that he was not there in the house when it happened.

That would be incredibly risky to dispose of a bloody mattress in a very public place. If anyone had seen, and then gone to check out the mattress, discovered the blood, and then called police, game would have been over immediately. He had a huge parcel of land on which to let it smoulder away, so why take that risk?
No report of any springs on the farm.

Thank you Sphinx and Tealgrove, I like this site, learn a lot of things about investigations.

And if he does take the stand, everyone will ignore the evidence presented about him for the previous month or so and they will believe his story. No matter how self serving it is.

Just like what happened in the TB trial.

The one report (which I posted earlier today) suggests that DM travelled with LB's phone to the farm starting out just after midnight July4th and then disposed of her phone around Indian Grove, Mississauga, around 11am July 4th, while MS started out at same time in same direction from same place, but went instead to Oakville.

Looks like a second vehicle to me! Unless he rode his skateboard.

IMO MS tried that approach in the TB trial. Seemed to backfire on him.

We haven't really heard what evidence was found at the farm yet. May still be coming.

We only heard about evidence found that related to Tim Bosma. Several times, while testifying, some LE were not sure how to answer some questions and I am sure that it was because of evidence found that related to LB or WM. They had to be very careful.

There are publications bans in place for a reason.

I am convinced that there is evidence to be heard coming out of CN's closet. MOO

Instead of being cooperative with the police in a very serious matter she was combative? unbelievable and I think it says a lot about what type of example she was to MS. She sounds like she is a bit off her rocker, that is not a normal reaction to becoming physically aggressive, it helps to understand more about what influences MS had that contributed to his very anti-social behavior even when he was very young he was involved with the police. His father seems to have completely abandoned him and I don't think was ever at the first trial. No other family that was also followed by the photographers were that in a rage to do what she did. The family of the victim was followed by the photographers and they are under the most distress and never reacted like she did. I am sure her neighbors in Oakville are not happy she is living there, I know the neighborhood, it is a tight-knit one with a lot of young children. they probably would be happy if she moved at least that is my opinion, I could be wrong.

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

It depends. If the location they have obtained a search warrant for may have dangerous occupants, then yes they try to surprise and over power. But in this case, MS was already in custody. IMO.

Unpopular opinion time.

Blaming MS mother for his drug use etc is exactly the same as blaming LBs parents for her drug use, escorting etc. We were not there, we have no idea if blame is appropriate.

It is unfortunate this thread has turned into a gossip column.

Agreed completely. So many times the families of the accused get dragged through the mud as well. I've seen them have to change their names and move even. Sad.

Yes and they saw the 60+ yr old mother in the backyard so they knew who they were dealing with IMO

I am not convinced that the red suitcase is going to end up being incriminating. I think the seizure of the red bag is why DM was so fixated on the colour of Laura’s luggage. No one, who saw her with her bags, in the days before her death, noticed a red bag. IIRC, the testimony was that the luggage was black or dark blue. I don’t know, at this point, how the bag came to be in his possession. [emoji53]

There was actually a spring found at the farm at the burn site. But I think it came from the burnt seats in Bosma's truck.
