Don't forget to add daughter's attitude on Aug. 7th.

"On August 7, Mack's 19-year-old daughter Heather posted on Instagram a photo she presumably took from the window of their hotel, the five-star St. Regis, accompanied by the caption: "i refuse to let someone say what i can do, gettin (sic) money my attitude you know what it do #bali," the MailOnline reports."

... [SWM]'s body is expected to be returned to the US on Wednesday ...

... [HM] has told police that she is pregnant but results of a pregnancy test have not yet been released. ...

... Authorities now believe that [SWM] was killed between 6.45am and 10am on Tuesday, August 12. ...
If she got pregnant on Aug. 12th, it's too soon for a preg. test to show +HcG levels. She would have had to already been pregnant when the murders were committed to actually know she was pregnant, unless it's a lie for sympathy.

Trying to put these two things together.

"Daily Mail Australia was told by an investigating officer today that a medical report confirmed that the young woman was indeed pregnant - but it is highly unlikely her request to be returned to the US will be granted."

Police sources said the couple had been given KFC chicken to eat and this had angered Mack’s boyfriend Tommy Schaefer, 21, who told police it was insulting as he has black skin and KFC is for the lower echelons of society.

Police were taken aback at this allegation, claiming that in Bali KFC is expensive for the average income earner and not at all for the lower wage earners.

I'm wondering if Heather didn't cause the confusion about her being adopted by telling people she was, after her mother died. Re: Her own pregnancy, apparently abortion is only an option in extreme cases in Indonesia.

There is confusion? I thought it was said that she WAS adopted. Is that erroneous?

:floorlaugh: Fast food IS expensive in Bali for the locals. And is among the only western food readily available, unless you want to go and sit at a restaurant that imports meats and prepares them. They do not have many local producers of meat products, and eat meat very sparingly themselves .. due to cost and availability.

We are talking about a country where the villages have water delivered in big water trucks, because there is not even running water .. though it is different in the tourist zones.

The stupid boy was getting a 'treat'. And he is lucky they are feeding him at all. Maybe they will stop now.

"Denpasar Police Chief Djoko Hari Utomo confirmed today that Sheila von Wiese Mack’s daughter Heather Mack, 19, from Chicago, is pregnant but said it was a normal pregnancy and not an ectopic pregnancy, which can be fatal.

Mr Utomo has also denied claims that Mack had been badly treated while in police custody in Denpasar.
To the contrary, he said, she had been treated “especially” given her young age.
He said if the lawyer wanted to allege the police had used violence toward Mack he was welcome to provide evidence of this.

Meanwhile, authorities in Bali said today that Sheila von Wiese Mack’s body is expected to be returned to the US on Wednesday .... "

Yes, erroneous reporting, as far as I can tell. Below are two different sites to back up my belief that Heather is not adopted. Mr. Mack had four other daughters and a son by previous marriages. They would not call Mr. Mack's other daughter her half-sister otherwise, nor does that half-sister say Heather was adopted. This is my understanding..

Yes, an article said she had this only child, the daughter, when she was 43 yrs. old.
Interview starts pg 5.

Interesting article on the history of the mother/daughter relationship.

...snipped... "Records show the teen — who was represented by an attorney hired by her mother — was placed on one year of court supervision after she was found guilty of battery..."

Mother tried to help daughter before Bali slaying

"She never believed her life was in danger," Nance said. "She was just worried to death about Heather."

"Despite the turmoil, von Wiese-Mack and her daughter continued the family tradition of taking exotic vacations each year, friends said. This year they chose the St. Regis in Bali, a five-star resort where rooms can cost as much as $1,340 a night."

"She always tried to show (Heather) the best things in life," longtime friend Mark Bacharach said. "She was always there for her."

"Mack has several half-siblings from her father's first marriage, though she has had little contact with them since his death. Her half sister Katherine Mack, who lives in New York, said she hasn't seen Heather Mack in more than a decade. She said her father always spoke lovingly of Heather before his death."

"He was very proud of her," Mack said. "He always said she was intelligent and bright and that they had a very good relationship."

:freakedout:What an insult to the police! Now, TS thinks he's royalty or something?

Good, I finally get to use this :butthead: emoticon.

Where's this guy get off acting like he comes from wealth anyways. Sounded like his mother had to struggle financially to raise him without his father around. She probably isn't going to be able to afford to help him out of this mess. His old coach said he was bouncing around on people's couches for awhile. I guess using Heather's mother's credit cards went to his head or maybe it was the $50 an hour escort jobs he claims he had. KFC should be fine as a meal when you've just been taken in for a horrible murder.

He deserves a bowl of maggots, IMO, for what he took part in murdering a truly gracious woman. KFC is below him?

A case of affluenza, perhaps?

Officers on the Indonesian resort island of Bali also revealed that Heather Lois Mack, 19, and her 21-year-old boyfriend Tommy Schaefer, who is also charged with murder, could be taken to the United States to stand trial.

:what: Why would this be? Because two US citizens allegedly murdered another US citizen? .... albeit on Indonesian soil?

"The Jakarta Post reported that the room Mrs Mack was killed in - and where a ‘cleansing ceremony’ to rid it of evil has been conducted by a Hindu priest - was not hers, but was being used by Mr Schaefer."

"We found many wounds, open wounds and bruises, including wounds on her left arm. We allege that the victim fought."

"In the hours leading up to her murder, Mrs Mack had been seen on CCTV footage walking around the hotel lobby at 3.45am, for reasons that have not been suggested by police."

"...... It was not clear if she was referring to Mr Schaefer’s room, which he is believed to have been sharing with Ms Mack."

"But senior police said today that there appeared little doubt that in the hours before she was brutally murdered, Mrs Mack appeared to be a troubled woman.
Detectives are trying to establish if she had gone to the room to continue confronting the young couple in the early hours of the morning."

Well, I am looking into this thing about the US taking the Terrible Two back to the US .. so far, I have found this:

Explaining the related US law, a senior foreign ministry official said the US does not allow trial of its citizens outside its territory.

As per the US law, if any of its citizens commits any crime outside its territory, the US takes the accused back home and tries him/her in an US court.

http://archive.thedailystar.net/beta2/news/convicted-may-not-be-punished/

Though it does not completely make sense to me, because US citizens have been tried in other countries before. I mean, how can this be enforced if the US is not 'in possession' of the accused?

  • #378
Is HM & TS' tactic to be as unpleasant/uncooperative/complaining/ugly as possible so that the Indonesians are inclined to allow them to return to the USA for trial/punishment???

If so and if it works then HM & TS will again be rewarded for their manipulative efforts!

Please keep them! We don't want them back in the USA!!!

  • #379
I understand they are U.S. Citizens, and the U.S. does their best to protect their own, but if they committed a murder in another country, that is where they should be punished, IMO.. They were under the Indonesia law when they were visiting.

Here is what gets me and how careless these two were; they claim that a gang broke in and attacked mom, and somehow they managed to escape. So, did they go back and find her dead body then decide to stuff it in the suitcase, then put that suitcase in the trunk of the taxi cab, told the driver to wait for them only to have them escape. HOW STUPID!!!! No gang did this, it was them and the suitcase proves it..
