HM will be sentenced in Bali, not be represented by a US lawyer in court, her Indonesian lawyer may or may not get the opportunity to speak (depending on the judges), and I am not sure that the panel of Indonesian judges will even think this is relevant in her murder sentencing. It appears they work pretty much only on the 'facts of the crime', as they say. The only mitigating factor that I have read about is if it is a drug charge, they may be a little kinder if you are a drug addict.

Thank you. :)

Speaking of that, I wonder if any weed showed up in their system... I also wonder how many outraged Americans sent screen captures of all of their weed & partying pictures to the Indonesian authorities in charge of this case. I mean, now knowing they murdered Sheila, and how she was murdered, I'm sure some are so outraged that they'd do that, especially considering Indonesian drug laws.

I know this is terrible for me to say...but I could care less that they're depressed. I do not care one bit about what happens to them. I wonder how fast they go to trial?

I feel the same way. Sad that Heather could give birth and raise her baby in jail, though...if she chooses to do so. Wow. Sad for the innocent child.

Pics of Heather and her parents found on a quick google search, only used the ones in major media. There's alot more.

And I think she can only have her baby in jail to a certain point ... then the child will be placed elsewhere. Unless HM is charitable enough to think of her baby and place him/her with a loving family. I wonder if the baby's father's family will offer to care for the baby.

With little chance of receiving bail, Ms Mack now faces the prospect of giving birth to her baby behind bars in a prison hospital - and then facing many years in jail, if not sentenced to death by firing squad, should she be convicted.

Her baby will either spend its early years with her in prison if she is convicted, or be cared for by willing families, but one thing is certain - the baby will have no grandmother.

Oh thank you SouthAussie. I read that she can raise the baby in jail but wasn't sure if it was indefinite or if there was a limit.

How in the world did he go from dating someone like Rachel, to someone like Heather?

It appears they are polar opposites. Except for the fact that both their families had money.

I don't know how much dating Rachel was reality or fantasy.

Heather's friends posted a collage of them together near, or on her last birthday HERE:

It was around 44weeks ago so work it out from there

It appears she was good at making friends and popular ...I wonder what they are thinking now she's being charged in bali for brutally murdering her mother, they seem pretty immature themselves. Though it seems like they hadn't seen her for a while - she's still in a lot of their pictures on Facebook & looks so much like a normal teen compared to her pics with TS & recent Bali ones.

Tommy was NOT together with his exgirlfriend when she died, they were already split for a LONG TIME according to people who knew her and him. His Facebook seems slightly like some obsessional shrine to her. It wasn't that much of a stretch that he would get with Heather, after viewing her pics with her friends, she just seems to be from a similar privileged background with money and popular but mixed race like him, on the outside before the murder.

Maybe what happened is Heather told her mother about her pregnancy, her mother was angry.....Tommy got totally angry & especially disrespected because Sheila didn't approve of Heather having a baby, probably mentioned abortion.....one or both incited attack. On heather's vine there's video of Sheila talking about 'low class' and '🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬/*****', so maybe something similar happened.....
i also wonder if TS wrote that he had no words about Robin Williams after or before.....I am kind of thinking after ......Sheila could have set the two off by saying she had 'no words' about her daughter's irresponsible pregnancy. i can completely imagine and see it.

Hover on the collage and you'll see a long emotional outpouring from her best friend about how great Heather was.

Reality must be sinking in!

Wonder who's going to be first to start talking trash about the other???

BUT, sounds like they're both in this deep!

I'm guessing it will be HM ... as soon as her lawyer has arrived and consulted with her ... maybe today or tomorrow.

I just wanted to thank the person who recommended the book I Don't Want to Live a This Life, I am devouring it - it is an interesting read!

Jumping off that article , I'm wondering if Heather turned 18 just recently and was due her inheritance. Is that feasible?
That would explain the 'you can pay for his room' argument put up by Sheila - teaching the girl to take responsibility for her own expenses plus TS's claims to coming into a heap of money.

Was there anything on social media about that party a couple of weeks earlier being her birthday celebrations?

Maybe Sheila took Heather away on a holiday overseas each year as a birthday present.

My understanding is that there was no money left for Heather. Heather might have been really angry about that.

"The Mack family’s 2001 complaint against the cruise line became a wrongful death lawsuit after James Mack’s 2006 death. And it ended in a $1.5 million settlement in 2011, court records show.
...

Sheila von Wiese-Mack netted $340,667 after legal fees for her share of the 2011 settlement, according to court records. Another $500,000 went to James Mack’s estate.

But von Wiese-Mack was the executor of that estate. And in June 2011, a judge authorized von Wiese-Mack to pay herself the remaining $500,000 as the estate’s “sole beneficiary

Looks bad for TS the boyfriend, I agree. He's the one seen lugging that suitcase, etc., HM is bad news, IMO.

There's the answer ... he was attracted to women that had family money.

She literally destroys everything in her path.

Do we know how her father died? Just saying.....

TS was looking for the easy road. Looks like he found it as well. No more hustling for money to put food in his belly.

There are 92 pages of police reports at this link detailing the incidents involving HM and Sheila, and other things such as burglary and custody disputes.

The very last police report details the recent disorderly conduct arrest of TS.

HM's birth date appears to be erased from the reports, as far as I can see.

Wow - I've just been reading all of these police reports.....thanks so much for finding them SouthAussie.

It's just SO sad reading them - because time and time again there was opportunity for serious intervention. HM is obviously seriously mentally unwell.....and her mother repeatedly refused to hospitalise her.

As somebody just posted (sorry - I've forgotten who it was) this was an abusive relationship, of the kind usually seen between men and women, with Sheila as the victim and Heather as the perp.

Which makes me think it all runs deeper than Sheila just 'giving her another chance'. There would be such deep emotional entanglement and investment in living out this dysfunction over and over. And Sheila may well have feared Heather, just as victims of domestic violence with their male partners live in deep fear of crossing them. And unfortunately, it turns out that she was right to fear her.

The boundaries between parent and child are very blurred in this relationship.

It's so awful reading those facts.

I had that thought too!

I know the official version of how he died, but I did wonder if that was the full story.

It's hard not to wonder - HM is just such a dangerous being.:scared:

I agree. She looks like a blend with her parents. There is a local on the radar comments and she emphatically states HM is NOT adopted and that SWM gave birth to her at a late age-- 42/43.

Pardon if this has been posted already, but here is a link to a video account online of HM, enjoy before it gets locked down: http://www.vinegram.com/u/940463768373178368

“He had a big house in Oak Park where he’d lived with his previous wife, so it just seemed sensible to move there.” Among a variety of musical activities, Mack was director of music at Rockefeller Chapel at the U of C. At age 43, she had her daughter."

He cut his foot on a cruise ship, developed sepsis, and died a while later.

The daughter was physically and psychologically abusive. Why did the mother take it? What was her marriage like? What happened such that the daughter became increasingly abusive and the mother repeatedly took it, forgave her, told everyone about it, and then the cycle repeated itself?

I know....I wondered the exact same thing. How did that evolve to be the 'norm'? It makes me wonder what the marriage was like too - and what Heather witnessed in terms of the dynamics between her mother and her father.

(not that I'm blaming either of her parents for her killing Sheila, btw!! I'm not. There's NO justification in any way for that!! Just pondering how it got to such a serious point)
