No words for Heather and I guess Tommy remains smitten.

ETA: What alternative universe is she living in? "...after the case is done" unless her atty thinks she may get a slap on the wrist and has been telling her so. Her nails are done I see and she looks pretty healthy.

Well, they've had all this time to make up a decent story, and if Tommy trying to give Mrs WM a present before being racially abused by her is really the best they can come up with then they"re even more stupid than I thought possible. Despicable. Hope they start to wake up to reality soon.

I think she is expecting to get off with a short sentence and she will wait for him in Bali. All happily ever after and all...

Very strange. HM has a cross and a home-made wedding ring. TS has all his worldly belongings in a plastic bag - except for his prominently displayed Bible (Book of Mormon?).

It's all about them - their 'love' and their 'baby' and their lives together. It's as though Sheila almost never existed. No remorse, no missing her mom, no remarks about how SM will never see her granddaughter.

Yes, I think it's a grand adventure for them. HM has clearly bonded with at least one of her lady jailers. I'm sure her local attorney smiles, collects his check, and assures her that she's going to walk, her conflict between mother and baby-daddy were understandable, she didn't actually do anything really wrong, the court will see it that way. HM undoubtedly thinks she'll stay in Bali, live large on her inheritance, and she and the baby will visit TS every day until he is out and they live happily ever after. She has no one and nothing to return to - those people in the party group pictures all looked like TS's friends, not hers.

TS's mother had pledged to use some of the $10K donations to visit him once the trial started. I don't know how long the trial will take, and I'm sure that if she does go, she won't be staying in the St. Regis, but if she does go, that will use up a significant portion of that $10K. I don't suppose TS is worried about it - I'm sure he and HM assumed HM has (or will have) more than enough $$ for both of them.

I wonder who is most relieved, deep down: HM that TS didn't try to throw her under the bus (she has no education, no job prospects and a baby on the way - if she doesn't get SM's money, she's in trouble, and I get the feeling she has no one, not even a casual girlfriend, waiting at home). Or TS that HM didn't leave him high-and-dry, broke and unable to even afford a plane ticket home (they are not cheap from Bali to Chicago, especially a one-way ticket). They're both stranded a long way from home with not too many people at home losing sleep about it.

And what is the book that is laying next to HM ... not a Bible is it? Hmmmmm .....

(Thinking of the foreigners that have 'converted' to Islam while in custody in Bali (Michelle Leslie, Scott Rush) - then 'unconverted' later, as Michelle Leslie did when she was released and returned home. Though Bali itself does have a high population of Christians too.)

That is a bible and it appears that Tommy brought it by looking at other pictures. Also looks like HM has a nice travel bag for her belongings while TS is using a plastic bag. So what is his mother sending him with the 10 grand she collected? ;)

I also believe that is the same outfit TS had on when he was arrested. Judging by his plastic bag, it doesn't look like he's got a lot of personal belongings. HM, on the other hand, has had a different outfit on each time we've seen a pic. Plus makeup and nail polish. Someone is supplying her with stuff. Has she convinced a local person/prison guard that she has money and will have access to it soon or is someone sending money to her lawyers?

Or have the female prison guards just taken to "mothering" her since she has no one?

I think they're referring to the re-enactment when HM and TS did see each other, although I don't think they got to talk and cuddle on that occasion.

The couple now await a court appearance when they are expected to be charged with premeditated murder.

Prosecutors have 20 days to decide whether to formally charge the couple and bring the case to court. If they believe it is too weak, they can ask police for more evidence.

Bali police Col. Djoko Hariutomo said that officers had questioned 12 witnesses and that their case included information from the FBI.

The AP story, which has already been linked here, is being run by the Chicago Sun-Times. I post a link for two reasons:

1. It has a photo gallery which includes a few pix I haven't seen elsewhere; and

2. Even though it is recorded as having been posted seven hours ago, there is not one comment. This is interesting to me, because the first story about these latest developments was posted by the Daily Mail (about a day-and-a-half ago) and I read it about half-an-hour after it was posted and it already had several comments at that point. This story does not seem to be big at all here in Chicago.

She claims she wants her baby to stay in Bali while she's in jail. So she's aware that she will likely still be in jail after the baby is born and she has to give it up after some number of months? So just who is she expecting to take care of the baby in Bali and bring it to visit her?

I'd say she's manipulated her way into some deals there already.

And it's interesting how she calls it HER baby and has chosen to name it after HER grandmother with no input from TS. Which grandmother is this by the way? JM's mother or SVM's mother? Can't remember.

Just finished reading all the reactions here and it helps me feel less alone while I deal with my nausea over the romantic story and pictures of these two mother killers. Yes, I said that, as Sheila is still dead and gone forever. But these two are so excited about the baby on the way, huh.

Heather has her nails done! Where's her glasses? Is she wearing her contact lens? That's not really roughing it as much as I imagined. They both don't look all that bad considering, but she seems to be treated better. Tommy looks thinner to me, but content with his plastic bag of belongings. I guess they're kinda married now with their "rings". Love is sweet when you're on your way to prison. As Heather said, "Once this case is over..."

Grandmother Stella must be honored if she's still alive. Will she help foot the payoffs?

Testing one, two, three...Reality Check please.
