Bankrupt Casey Anthony interviewed by KPHO CBS in Phoenix

Mason statement always made me wonder. What made him change his mind and join the circus, when he seemed to be so certain of a conviction? He was unaware that JB was going to use the molestation as a defense, so what the heck changed Masons mind?
Or "who" changed his mind? I'm thinking perhaps some "judge" friend.

Calling FCA a little girl in his interview Mason is as much the coward as his former client. They all make me sick. What about the child that was found in a swamp with duck tape wrapped around her head? What are they thinking? Why is she soooo afraid to be interviewed? She is pure coward because she is not innocent that's why. She is afraid of what she might be asked. If innocent this interview would have happened a long time ago.

Can you just imagine the interview by someone who hadn't signed away the rights to asking the tough questions? Wowzers!

- So what was the story about the Nanny about and why?
- If you weren't actually working, where did you go during the day when your mother thought you were working?
- Where did you get the money to live on and pay your cellphone bills?
-Did you really steal money from your grandmother, your grandfather and your mother? You stole from your grandfather's nursing home account - is that true?
- What did you think the smell was in the trunk of your car?
- Why did you abandon your car at the cheque cashing place next to the dumpster?
- Why didn't you tell your boyfriend at his "safe place" that your daughter was missing?
-Why didn't you go to the police?
-Why didn't you at least tell your parents?
- How do your brother and your father feel about the sex abuse allegations now?

I haven't gotten to the story about Caylee drowning in the pool...:banghead:

The initial interview would take a day of taping....Morgan and Morgan will have her on the stand for a week!!

is the good state giving her welfare benefits also????
and her parents.........do they get 'help' to live on or are
they all compliments of the media??? (CBS)

Wasn't there a producer who offered her a contract for one million for her first out-of-jail interview? And IIRC, he wanted to ask REAL questions (along the lines of ones you have posted perhaps). And wasn't it being reported the unusual person and her unusual attorney hightailed it out of there when they found out the interview would be real, with real questions, and the check would not be cut until after the fact?

Not that I give a lot of credence to anyone willing to latch on to this __________, but I bet there is at least one producer somewhere who would love the opportunity to do a real interview. Not saying I totally trust what he claimed or what might have been his motive, but anything's possible. Anything outside of Casey Anthony facing justice, that is.

could we get that lucky? please, please, please!

her head would explode from the effort of fronting like she's human for that long. can you imagine being the one assigned to "talk her down" after court each day?

as tempted as I am - and I am tempted - to respond point by point to the question you've posed, I. Shall. Refrain.

As much as I would wish for answers to these questions, we all know they would be nothing more than a lie - nothing more than Casey Anthony herself.

What's really skeeving me out is CMs insistence on calling her this "little girl." It's gotten really weird. I mean she's coming up on 27. Twenty seven. It's not even sweet and grandfatherly - it's skeevy. I am officially weirded out by this. Really, really weirded out

Mason stating that KC is a 105 pound little girl makes me sick. Caylee was a little girl and she is dead. KC on the other hand was a grown young woman. How dare he call KC a little girl.

Hm the last time I checked a 26yr old woman is not a little girl...

But if Mason thinks that weighing in at 105lbs makes a grown woman a Little Girl then he has some issues. IMO

How can she owe Baez 500K if he was representing her pro bono and had her declared indigent for costs? Costs which he then claimed from the State of Florida. Isn't that considered double dipping?

Does anybody else remember during the trial when Judge Perry told Baez to be careful about controlling his costs (after the felon was declared indigent) because there are lawyers out there that love to sue defense attorneys to get money back for the State? Just curious if anybody else remembers that. I think it would be awesome if Baez got sued too and had to open his books up for the whole world to see. :please:

Baez was not representing her Pro Bono..

IN 2008 He got paid $89,000 out of the $200,000 that ABC gave her.
Even after she was declared Indigent I think Baez was still not considered working Pro Bono.

Mason came on board and he stated he was representing her Pro Bono.

I suspect Mason announcing her weight was a requirement Casey put on him. Remember when the previous Piers interview gave the impression she had gained some weight? Well, it would not surprise me if this time she coached him before he went on with...Make sure everyone knows I'm not fat!

What is really telling to me is “what” Cheney DOESN”T say. In the quote below Cheney gives several “reasons” Casey probably won’t be to “forgive her parents.” Notice, he DOES NOT mention the charges of child molestation that his team presented. I could understand never forgiving a parent who molested me. But, aw shucks, Cheney doesn’t even mention it and Piers doesn’t ask. (What a crack reporter…)
I might also infer from this article that if one of Cheney’s offspring made one of his grandchildren disappear, he would find it okay to withhold evidence and not cooperate with LE. He certainly is displaying good judgment for an officer of the court.
MASON: I don't think so. I know Casey would like to have a normal life, if there is such thing ever available in her future. It's not likely to be with a family that prosecuted her. It's not likely to be with someone who went to a grand jury and testified against her to help get her indicted. It's not likely to be family that did all they could to try to help the state kill her.

I should never forgive those in the family that did that, and I don't think Casey will either.
In the next quote, I am flabbergasted that no one “should make money” off of Caley’s death. Hmmmm….who sold pictures for $200,000? Whose parents made money with the Dr. Phil interview? Who made money on the Ohio pics? Who makes money from the Piers’ interviews? IMO, all that money gets funneled for Casey’s benefit.
MASON: …She needs to be left alone. And that's why she filed a petition for bankruptcy, so the federal bankruptcy court can help her be left alone. And people just quit trying to profit off of her and her emotions and the tragedy…
In addition to all the other comments already made, it appears that Cheney and team have taken a “life sentence” of taking care of Miss Casey (liar, liar…pants on fire) or until she can find some male willing to take over that responsibility. (I think Baez’s wife/family told him to get out of the charity business…he has young kids.) I also imagine that Cheney and/or his family realize the financial drain this will be….hence the interviews with good, old Piers.
MASON: …We're doing our best to prevent that from happening. So she will remain in seclusion as long as it takes.

I wish there was just ONE reporter that knew the facts of this case and would ask intelligent, probing questions, and challenge the lies.
I'm sure Websleuths members could supply that person with an exhaustive list.

Of all the causes in the world, they choose FCA? I DON'T UNDERSTAND? JMO

I agree with you. Why can't these lawyers take on the cause of someone who was wrongfully convicted rather than singing the praises of one who dodged justice? It just doesn't make sense that they would put so much effort into encouraging evil when they could actually use their clout to do some GOOD in the world.

BBM--I really don't have an opinion on Casey/Ocean Woods. Maybe she lived there, maybe not. I don't know. :loser:

If it is true that George leased the condo for Casey--and true the Realtor is the one listed in the bankruptcy-- how can she be successful in liquidating any debt that is owed the Realtor? The condo would be leased in George's name and become his debt. Casey can't bankrupt on another person's debt.

Hope you don't mind me snipping your post.

Yes there is obviously some debt to them in her name, for him to be listed. I was hoping there would be an itemized list showing what was owed, nature of the debt etc but apparently there's not.

IMO she is naming people like the realtor just in case those people want to sue her for "unjust enrichment," which is a thing you could potentially be liable for if you are taking a benefit from someone--even if you didn't sign the lease.

IIRC AZLawyer said when/if he shows up to the Bankruptcy hearing there will be some documentation at that time..

No, at the 341 meeting the creditors will get to ask questions, but normally no additional documentation is provided.

I'm as outraged as any of you over the idea that Casey may be able to get away with this bankruptcy filing and just shake all of her debts off and walk away. It's not right under any circumstances.

BUT - if Casey gets away with this then it isn't Casey's fault it's the SYSTEM that should be blamed. Any system that could allow something as egregious as this bankruptcy claim to fly is broken and we should be outraged at that!

Honest, hard working people fall on hard times and end up in debt to the IRS all the time and I don't see any of them getting a pass. Casey will because she has a team of lawyers ready will and able to exploit the system and get her off scot free. IMHO this situation could be fixed if we would all direct our outrage where it belongs - at the inadequate system and the immoral lawyers who game it.

BBM

Casey will get a pass on her IRS debt only because she falls within the rules to do so. Those rules apply to everyone equally.

It's true krkrhx! Everything has to be listed with the balance amounts (which I don't understand why FCA dosen't have to list her balance amounts) as we had to file for that very same reason (medical). We were allowed to keep our home as we did a (gosh I can't remember what it was called maybe a homestead thing) and we had to keep our truck to as it was the only reliable vehicle we had but we had to do paper work for that too. Yep I wonder why FCA is so much better then your friend or us or anyone else who has to go through this. It's extremly embarrassing and make's a person feel as if they are shirking their duty to pay their debts when they've worked all their live's and payed their debts until a catastrophic event happened that was beyond their control. FCA's event was self inflicked and she continues to chose that path apparently. I feel for your friend.

The amounts of debts don't have to be listed if the claims are unknown. There's nothing wrong with listing people who MIGHT have claims against you but haven't made any demands against you--and some claim amounts are unknown even if demand has been made. For example, what's the amount of ZG's claim? I would say "unknown."

Yeah and don't we already pretty much know the answers to all of those questions? I think we do. But it would be interesting to see her lie and then try and keep all the lies straight if the questions came rapid fire - she probably couldn't keep them straight.

Re: Mason's little girl - she may have been 105 in the blue dress the first time around.. but no way was that a little 105lb girl under the second blue dress!! :floorlaugh: :floorlaugh:

Er..all IMO of course....

If that's the case - why have your picture taken in a muumuu? Do all you young folks even know what a muumuu is?

I'd guess that's actually the size Betty White is.......she'll be pleased...

Oh it's disgraceful. Most of them don't know the basics. Even one of her team said she was "arrested for credit card fraud" which never happened. Larry King, Dr. Phil, etc, didn't know the basics. It's all about money.

Snipped & BBM
If I recall right just around the time that Ashton's book was coming out I believe Mason said he would be writing a book too and I got the sense that it would be a while before it came out. Another case of pot meet kettle. He's as greddy as anyone else who has or will write a book in my opinion.
