All I can say is no good deed goes unpunished. These parents needed to put Haleigh first. I don't think either one did, IMO.

The people who now are happy that CS got this letter are the same people who did not like or approve of KP. All along some were screaming how rotten of an attorney she was. Now, they are happy that she didn't get sanctioned. I know attorneys that have used client funds for personal use, drunk during court, jailed for drunk driving, domestic violence...missing trials and timely responses and never ONCE have they been sanctioned.

The BAR in California is a joke. It was closed down for a long time. Didn't matter because they never did anything anyway as far as going against their own. Just like DCF they have to have PROOF, nor words or complaints. Complaints are never taken seriously. All they do is bother the Lawyer....who gets annoyed.

Crystal had every right to get support lowered and to try for custody. As stated many times, Custody, once decided, is almost impossible to reverse.
I also don't think it would be fair to assume that CS is doing illegal drugs. Her medical problems at the time could have been drug related but it could be prescription meds.

As far as the custody, I have known all along he won by default. It is a shame that CS did not appear if she could. I have supported her not having knowledge of the date. If she did, I would like to know what the reason for her non-compliance was. The judge said there was cause for a re-hearing based on the address problem. So there is a conflict here.

We are looking at another lawyer reviewing a complaint against one of his own. I have seen decisions before and they are always strange. They seem to always catch you off-guard and throw something in there that can harm the person that dared filed against the attorney.

How would you know posters on message boards are more worried abut Jr being taken from Ron than Crystal? Hopefully the child is taken and only allowed around Ron during supervised visits- But to sit and know or pretend to know what Crystal Sheffield is thinking is kind of strange-

Poor Haleigh, it's been to long and I really fear she will never be found. I pray I am wrong. I pray for Jr. to be placed in a normal, safe, nurturing environment. Just so so sad....and nothing anyone can really do. Where is the justice for these children?

I see they changed the rules for disciplinary action in 2006 and started enforcing. I wonder if they ever made changes here.

Well, I thank god everyday that there are people out there who are appalled and concerned for a little boy who watched his daddy place a gun in his mouth to show how he would kill people in front of him- I still cant believe people think any child should be in that kind of environment- I pity people who think that is normal behavior- And I dont really know why Crystal hasn't fought, maybe she can only handle so much, maybe money is an issue, I really dont know, and I dont know what it has to do with Haleigh going missing out of Rons home-

I gave up on posting on this case for obvious reasons, but I just had to say something about this part of your post, Whisperer, my friend.

It also goes the other way around regarding KP at this time. The same people that were hailing her a hero for Crystal back then, are now BLAMING her for standing up for herself and her career against these unfounded and unsubstantiated charges against her.

Let's face it. The truth is the truth is the truth. If ANY of us here were being truthful with ourselves and were really wanting what is best for Haleigh, we could see that neither one of these parents have done the right thing from the jump.

In all honesty, I'm so tired of hiding my opinion for fear of upsetting this side or that side. I'm done with it all....
There is no disputing what the truth really is. No matter how it is twisted, turned, distorted or interpreted, we as posters cannot change the cold, hard facts.

I'm not Flossie, but I'm guessing it is because of the allegations of drug abuse, living conditions, etc that would not allow Kim to file for custody of Junior.

Basically, this paragraph. My guess is that if this same letter had come from Ron's ex-attorney, another new movement to contact DCF would be underway to remove Junior from Ron's custody.
