Regardless..with all the stuff thats come out i personally find it strange that this latest "info" has now come out after 14 months. Also i think its strange why people wouldnt trust there best friends to be honest? The other thing is..is there even any proof that Hailey went to MB's much? It is another girl that Hailey was said to be best friends with.

Ok, I listened to the show. It was interesting hearing Billie talk, I'm glad Tricia had her on. I just don't understand what is up with Billie. Her attitude is just strange to me. She seems very immature and not very smart I guess (sorry if that sounds mean, it is just what I get from her). Like when Tricia asked her what the biggest misconception people have of her is, and she was like "Shawn and I didn't have anything to do with this, I would never hurt Hailey, blah blah blah, Shawn is not bad, blah blah blah" What? Seems like she would have said something more along the lines of people think I am a bad mom, and no I am not perfect, I admit I made mistakes but I just want to find Hailey, I gave off a bad impression and I regret that, etc. KWIM? She just seems very, I don't know, self-centered? I am sure some of her attitude was from being nervous. I think she needs to have some other person be her spokesman. And she needed to own up to her arrest for lying to the police. I didn't hear her say she was sorry for doing that, she made a mistake, nothing. Everything was someone elses fault (LE). Very immature.

None of this means I think she knows anything about what happened to Hailey. I don't know if she does or not. I can see why she doesn't like CCity LE, but she still needs to grow up a little, acting the way she came across last night isn't going to help anything.

CCIty LE want to find her daughter. Shawn is the suspect. Its there job to investigate her and Shawn..and should accept that. The way she talked about them last night isnt going to help her situation with LE...and i hope she can back up allegations she made against them last night. I asked a local about this today...and she hadnt heard of the claims she made about the local LE..i have asked her to become a member here but because of the fact shes a searcher she has to be careful of what she says IF she does join.

No offense to small town police depts., but when everyone in the town knows you and you have a history with them, I would probably be more inclined to go with the FBI or some other entity. I distinctly remember the recording of that 911 call Billie made, and the officer did not want to go to her house. He said something along the lines of "D$#@ she's been at this all day" and it was very unprofessional.

And I am not trying to say don't cooperate with LE. I just wonder about this particular department. They didn't even list Hailey as a missing person, they said she was a "runaway". The ball was dropped from the get go.

I believe this is the timeline BD gave on 1/31/2011 where in there does it mention a boyfriend of MB or that DD said he was worried about said boyfriend? We are hearing this now? why?

The problem for me at least...not every missing person case is the same..and I think Carrie is using what happened to her..to explain Billies actions..when she and Billie are in fact two different people..so what applied to Carrie doesnt to Billie.

As for the phone calls you talk about..Billie isnt the only local person...if they spend all there time being called for unimportant calls no wonder they get fed up.

It doesn't surprise me. BD has always inserted people into this case so that the finger is pointed elsewhere. Naomi, Clint, Brian Glasgow, the hairdresser and on it goes.

My finger is still pointed to two people who are still together and who have moved away from CCity and did nothing to help find Hailey. IMO

It's not the first case I've followed where stories changed or details added after weeks, months and even years. Actually, I wouldn't even consider it a changed story, I consider it more as a details emerging that may not have been known early on. The more investigating, the more things are discovered. I don't find anything unusual about that at all especially when there are witnesses.

I may not believe Billie as being totally truthful but I DO believe Carrie. Carrie wouldn't lie about something like that. There would be absolutely no reason for her to lie. If Carrie agrees that some sex offenders were NOT checked out, I believe her 100%.

Carrie may be taking Billie's word as fact. Therefore she wouldn't be lying.

Her own case parallels may cloud her opinions about Billie.

Besides that, how would Carrie know what SOs have been checked and which ones would not?

Just because Dave was innocent all along does not mean Shawn is innocent.

That's the problem I've have had with Billie for a long time (although I don't believe she's dumb). I've said before that I get the Eddie Haskell vibe from Shawn...he puts on the aw-shucks/boy next door act when he's talking to the media but we know he's very different (obviously much, much darker) in his normal life. It's the same with Billie...there's no way I believe she's the same way in private that she is in public.

Great job Tricia. You really covered a lot of ground and managed to do so pretty methodically. And good job trying to get across the incredulousness many of us feel about Billie's rationalizations (I don't think there's any way they can all be true).

Covering their butts it's the some other dude did it. Billie may be in denial that Shawn played a part in her disappearance. She might know deep down but, can't cope with the thought she is sleeping with the enemy.
Other theory is she is protecting Shawn because they both conspired together in the crime and/or in the cover-up.
It's hard for me to grasp a mother would her her daughter like this but, it's possible.
