Didn't Igor, later in his testimony, say it was the tall guy who asked? I assumed he got mixed up at the beginning.

I read it both ways, I'm not sure if it was tweeted that Igor said it both ways or the media mixed up the story.

Yes imo he said it because he obviously worked on and/or was used to dealing with them in the Army. Thats my opinion. Just confirming he knows those engines doesn't really explain his full knowledge. When you explain the army it gives a clearer picture as it is understood that much time may have been spent working with or on them IMHO.

When he explained the Israeli army inference, more likely it gave the accused a clearer picture as to why Igor was not one to be messed with. Just my opinion, but I don't think DM then turning around to look at MS had anything to do about how impressive he thought Igor's knowledge about this type of engine must be.

No not according to the reports.

Actually, we only know who was using the phone for the last call. We don't know who was using it for the other calls, such as for when the phone was in Oakville and DM's phone hadn't made it to Oakville yet.

It may not matter who owned the phone, but in this particular case, we also don't know yet who "used the knife".

I have to go back to double check but didn't more than one person say it was Evan?
Igor and the other man who slept after arranging to meet?

But that is not what he said or what he claimed. He made no mention of stating he was in the Army other than to refer to the diesel engine. To make more of what he said would be forming an opinion that is not based on testimony...which of course you are free to do.

How do you know where DM's phone was in the morning of May 6? My notes show the first time we were given for it in court was 5:33 p.m. Do you have a link to earlier times for DM's phone on May 6?

Dellen sounds like Evan if said quickly. It is a similar sounding name. Dellen is an unusual name and sometimes if someone hasn't heard a name before they will think it's a similar name that they have heard. I see no benefit to calling himself Evan as a alias when his middle name is Evan. It's still his given name, and many people use their middle names.

I've heard a Judy be referred to as Suzie and Gerald become a Paul, so it's easily done. IMO

This week in court will run from Monday to Friday because Monday the 15th is a holiday (Family Day). So 5 full days of testimony, hopefully.

The make-up day for Family Day will be the following Friday (so I think we only get four days of court this week, and four days next week).

Goodman now talking about the schedule. We'll likely sit Monday to Thursday, with an "infrequent" Friday session. Will be sitting on Friday, Feb. 19 to make up for Family Day Monday though. Trial also breaks for March break.

We don't know as there hasn't been evidence confirming. If he identified himself on a burner phone it would become clear he wasn't trying to be underhanded. Which is the point his lawyer is trying to make, I think. I also think the phone info is still up for debate, maybe tomorrows testimonies will help further.

Two callers idetified the Lucas Bate phone caller as Evan, and that is evidence that has been presented already.

I dunno, sure both names end with -in sounds but DEL and EV are very distinct phonemes.

That's what I thought too. There was a photo posted of the location that was more close up, which I can no longer find. In the close up one, it more clearly showed that the evidence marker was inside the fence.
