Boulder police chief exonerates Fleet and Priscilla White in death of JonBenet Ramsey

  • #61
Good grief. If I was speculated about as having committed a murder, I wouldn't care how many times the police formally cleared me. This is someone's reputation here, someone who, imo, cooperated from the start and tried to seek justice for JB. Is it smart to announce who all have been cleared, maybe not. But then again AH's office, the R's, and whoever else bungled this case up so many years ago. I don't get why FW wanting it known that he's been cleared of the murder before a possibly unfavorable book is released that may try to point the finger at him is a big deal.
With that I'm off the carousal too.

They were cleared by Lacy. That is a fact. They were cleared by the DNA results. The GJ did not have those DNA results and since they could not find 1st degree murder against either one with what they did have, They may have not returned an indictment at all knowing DNA pointed to someone other than the R's.

AS for the Whites, I still don't get it. AS with the R's if people don't want to believe it, you can not make them. It is what it is. IT just seems like a dog and pony show.

We've explained it upthread about 13 times. If you don't want to "get it," well that is not our problem.

OK, I am really off of the carousal this time. I refuse to be baited into saying something that will get me a time out.

The fact that some of us claim to not understand why the Whites would want to be cleared for a third time perhaps tells us ALL that we don't know what is going on anywhere near as much as we THINK we know what's going on.

How about waiting and seeing before proclaiming it either makes no sense or giving a speculation as to why it is so.

RBBM:
They want the general public to know that they have been cleared THREE times and throughly exonerated before this piece of literary garbage comes out, IMO.

IF PW somehow tries to point fingers at FW in her book I HOPE he sues her, period.

I thought about it and actually he is right and maybe he is scared cause he IS one of the key witnesses in this case and a LOT of people might go down if the truth comes out,not only JR.

I agree with that. I can only speculate as to why I personally would do it.

With Woodward's "objective" book coming out, I do not blame the White's for wanting the be cleared publicly again, regardless of how many times they have been cleared in the past.

I truly believe Fleet White knows very well in his gut that the Ramsey's were involved in the murder of Jon Benet. I also believe JR knows the White's feelings and, hence, why he so easily mentioned the White's as possible persons of interest. Throw everyone under the bus and see what sticks.

I too hope that one day the Whites will gather enough nerve to speak about their thoughts on the murders and what THEY saw go on that morning. Would be very interesting to here their TRUE thoughts on the case.

That is the ludicrous part. They were cleared. Once is enough. More times them saying it does not make them MORE cleared. They are cleared or they are not.

It seems redundant and illtimed to me.
As long as a certain someone keeps pointing his finger at them, being publicly cleared keeps being necessary. They have to rebut the misinformation. Redundant maybe, but not 'illtimed'. moo

Exactly. It's no more redundant than the Ramsey's multiple attempts to insinuate that they (the Whites) as well as many other of their "friends" were involved in the murder.

For once I agree with you about something, Scarlett. These are my sentiments exactly.

My thoughts exactly. Much as when something new comes out (GJ etc.) JR writes a new book or goes on the talk circuit.

So would FW know for sure that he is going to be accused in the book? Or is just a precaution? I wonder if the book is going to focus on one suspect, or a bunch of them?

What ever their reason, there's nothing "illtimed" about this request. Right after the GJ indictments are released, and right before PW's book comes out. They're asking for some reason in particular, what ever it may be.

Makes me think they know something we don't. Like maybe they have an advanced copy of her book or something. Hmm....

If JR had any input, my guess would be the "shotgun" approach. Same as before.

"IGNORE" Feature is a stress saver. Wonder what would happen if all RDI's used it?

Chelly, I've been thinking about using that feature, how does it work. If you set someone on Ignore do you NOT see their post in a thread?
Thanks

Correct. When you put a member on "Ignore" you will no longer see their posts. All you will be missing is nonsense you don't want to read anyway. Go to User CP, Scroll down list of options on left of page. Easy peasy.

IMO....the exoneration of Ramseys was COMPLETELY political.
