Oh, yes! I completely forgot about Dudley Dooright!! (We're aging ourselves, Cyber) I stand corrected! :-) QUOTE]

Mine was Sgt. Preston of the Yukon, with Yukon King and his horse Rex. :woohoo: Talk about dating one's self.
Star, I will pretend to remember Sgt. Preston so no one will think you're older than me. Oops! You mean....this isn't PM???

With the line of questioning done concerning her during the deposition and the statments made by his classmate in the N&O this morning, there HAS to be some connection to her. I said from day one that I felt his affair with her was still in progress at the time of NC's death. I believe that still.

And I was so clueless I was thinking - so what. Maybe not clueless. Perhaps 'tres naive'. ARRGGGH

You nailed it..I am positive there's a big red flag flying over that lie. Their questions at the depo were so specific and came one after another; I can't believe he thought he could lie and get away with it.

 :furious: Sgt. Preston was 1955-58. I first saw it on tvland last week. :liar: >>>>Star :::with sheepish, aging grin:::

now, see, I could pretend that I am 17 years old, but I have actually met red.

Earlier today I was reading some of the posts on the thread made on July 15. This is a comment made by SeriouslySearching:

The problem is...they don't think about the consequences of getting caught. These are narcissistic men who believe they can get away with anything. They do not see themselves behind bars until they are there  ...then they can't believe a jury would convict them!

Wow! Did you nail this one on the head!
(I added the faces.)

Maja - neither the articles nor either of MH's affidavits clarify a time frame in which LE was asking him about. However, MH says he talked with LE about phone calls between he and Brad the morning of the 12th after 9am, as I recall either Saturday evening or sometime Sunday following Nancy's disappearance. This is the only time reference given. The question becomes why did LE bring MH in twice after the intial conversation to talk about those calls after 9 am between he and Brad, and why did MH assume that LE was accusing him of using Nancy's phone. There must be some reason for him to assume LE is accusing him of using Nancy's phone and then run to the press to make his claim of coercion. He did not repeat this claim of coercion when he was on the stand during the custody hearing. He only admitted to being naive about investigation activities.

Does that help you at all ?

Yes it does...thank you so much. Does something still smell funny with this to you?

Yes - big time. I have had a problem with this story since MH admitted being at the party on Friday and admitted seeing Brad there. Yet he waits until Brad leaves and then asks Nancy if Brad can play tennis with him the next morning. Then he gets Nancy to call Brad (who is across the street in his house) so they can set up the time. Major bad smell to me.

RC, what this makes me suspect is that perhaps there never was a plan to play tennis at all and that it was possibly manufactured after the fact.

That would explain why Brad was not overly upset about it or even concerned when Nancy didn't make it home for the 930 tennis match aye ? Especially since he had had to cancel the May match for the same reason, according to Brad, Nancy was late.

Does anyone live with MH who can verify he didn't leave during the early morning hours? or Did he leave the party by himself and made a detour on the way home?

What is being suggested here? MH involvement?

This time Nancy really was 'late' and not the kind he would be mad about. (sorry couldn't resist)

MH is married. I'm sure LE asked him about his activities that morning. I think his affy said he had additional tennis plans (with others) after he and Brad were to have played that morning at 9:30am, hence why they cancelled around 10:15am or so when Nancy still "hadn't come home from running/having coffee."

He does have a wife - I believe her name is listed in MH's rebuttal affidavit in the Legal Docs sticky.

JMO - I think MH has zero involvement - if anything he was duped. I suspect, and this is only my suspicion that Brad called MH that Saturday morning with Nancy's phone so the records would show the phone was used. I say that because the 911 tape released to the public has no reference to Nancy's phone being locked - yet there was testimony at the hearing that Brad told JA, correct me if I'm wrong SG, that the phone was locked so he could not look up Cary's number. I think MH is clueless about what happened and has zero involvement in anything that did happen.

Actually this particular convo about the locked phone happened between HP and Brad that Sat morning. Brad called HP to ask if she had Carey's #, and HP suggested that Brad look up Carey's phone # on Nancy's cell phone and Brad thought that was a good idea but then reported back that he couldn't because Nancy's phone was 'locked.' (note: this information was learned by us when HP was on the stand at the custody hearing).

Didn't Jessica tell BC that she didn't know Carey's number, but then looked it up in the phone book for the 911 operator?

Thanks for the correction. The point remains the same however - Brad wanted it out that the phone was locked. I do think he used nancy's phone to call MH and tried to cover it by telling HP the phone was locked. Of course he wasn't going to call Cary either.

Again - thanks - we need to keep the facts straight !

RC are you suggesting that there was a call well after the alleged 6:40 call from Nancy on her phone?

See I don't know about that...first of all Brad was not expecting either JA or HP to call him that morning, let alone several times. He didn't know NC had plans to paint w/JA. And there wasn't just one phone call...there were a few that morning. I think Brad wanted to make it look like he was being proactive in asking for CC's # when he realized the call frequency from JA was escalating, along with call(s) from HP. He had no idea that HP would suggest to him that he look at Nancy's phone to get CC's # when he called her for it. What if she hadn't suggested he look at Nancy's phone and just said, "sorry I don't have her number...maybe you should try Googling it." I think Brad wanted to look worried, proactive and like he was doing the normal things one would do to find a wife who was late coming home. I think the cell phone being locked was just something that got thrown in there...and I'm sure Nancy did keep it locked, at least certain parts of it.
