Brainstorming Ron's flurry of phone calls

  • #241
This is just an idea from up here on the fence (on fence as to perps)...

One of my thoughts has been that Ron was very concerned that Misty was not with the kids at his home, where he told her he wanted them to stay (he did NOT want Misty babysitting both his kids and other kids at a relative's house - as Misty had asked (IIRC) - and to which he said no, Haleigh has school and needs to be in her own bed)...

Then, at some point he reached someone who assured him that Misty was not babysitting any other kids - or reassured him somehow (not necessarily Misty - but a relative, perhaps), and so at that point, driving home, he still had not reached Misty, but he was no longer concerned.

okay, now I'll duck for a bit. hee hee hee!

No need to duck that makes a lot of sense.

No need to duck, that is what I think as well, that Ron was in a panic or anger mode and then after reaching someone he changes mode. Or as some have surmised it could be an alibi for him. Not an alibi as in he did anything to Haleigh but an alibi to fit in with the story he had no knowledge of Haleigh ODing or something happening that would be indirectly his fault and he would lose JR. Something changed for him to be calling over 30 times to "hey, I think I will get some beers and cigarettes for Misty".

IMO, the phone logs for this entire gang (to which we have no access ... yet...) have been LE's best tipster. Think I'll go give the phone logs some recognition over there on the tipster thread. Even if they were all too high to remember who they called when that night - the phone logs remember. ;)

Yes, phone logs do remember however throw away phone could have also been used and discarded..LE would most probably not have access to information on those phones...JMO

NOT TIL SOMEONE is arrested.... and that might just be never in the future...lol

IMHO.. Thats not funny...For any arrests never to be made concerning the person/s responsible for Haleigh's demise and those involved in covering up what really happened is a travesty of justice..JMO

I have been thinking about this too. Trying to fit all the pieces together(impossible) but if we consider the report that Misty had asked to babysit for someone else that night....and that was what precipitated the fight at 8:30...maybe RC thought she would be at 116 Tyler against his wishes.

I'm still a bit confused as to this babysitting issue. Could someone straighten me out?

I thought the issue was that Misty had to watch Ron's kids and she didn't want to - because she wanted to just go out and party. Then I heard something about Ms. Neves being asked to do it by Misty? Now I read that Misty 'wanted' to babysit for someone other than her live-in boyfriends kids? (whom by the way she says call her mom and treat her like she's their real mom. If that's the case - why was she trying to get someone else to do it so she could babysit elsewhere? Just doesn't make sense to me??

Is there a video or link to TN saying she offered, Misty money to babysit that night?

BBM.. Never heard the reason she refused was because she wanted to go out and party.. Do you have a source for that information?

Also first story came from Chelsey..She is the one who revealed TN is the one who offered to pay Misty to babysit...
Sounds about right to me since Ron C had thrown Misty out of the house and I doubt they had reconciled their differences..
Reason I supsect she told TN she would do it IF it was ok with Ronald...JMO

I could be wrong but I believe AH revealed the information..Don't know if it was on NG or posted on his site...JMO

In an article that was released about the 20 phone calls, wasn't it said the calls were made in about a 45 minute timeframe? Does anyone else remember this?

Whether it's 90 or 20, both are a lot of phone calls IMO.

What I jumps out at me more is that it's phone calls, as opposed to texts. We have'nt heard how many of those. If they say no txt then for sure someone was told to not txt, those are available from the phone company too. We would see word for word what they were talking about. I actually don't have a problem w/ the numbers for calls. I can see alot of repeated dialing, I can see ron fuming that misty would'nt pick up (if thats the case) But if there's no txts going on between ron and misty, that too would be suspicious to me.
I can't imagine what it's going to be like deciphering misty talk in txt form.

I believe it was both, he said it on NG and then had an article on his site:

Then, Misty related, Ronald Cummings mother, offered to pay her. “She told me, ‘Teresa (Neves) said, ‘I’ll pay you to watch ‘em.’ But I told her, ‘No, you don’t have to pay me, I’ll watch ‘em.’ Remember that weekend, she and Ronald were fighting after she came back, so she told his mother, ‘No, I’ll go home and watch ‘em if it’s okay with Ronald.’”

Ok, then where the children when TN asked Misty to watch them that night? I know I asked this before, but did TN call and ask Misty to watch them before Ron went to work or after. I will take a guess it was before.

I AM SO CONFUSED ... but if it was after, TN must of had the children with her?

Misty saying she'll "go home" and watch them, says to me that her and ron did not spend any time together on Sunday eve. or Monday daytime. If they had then #1 tn would'nt have to ask misty to sit and #2 she would'nt be worried about asking ron if it was ok.

Good points, TobyWong.

Didn't we hear the story about Misty and Ron being up all Sunday night, talking and working through their problems, from one person only?

Teresa Neves. With an agenda, for sure.

This woman has told so many lies, has reacted to so many pieces of emerging and negative information that has come out in the news with some ridiculous, and often cruel, explanations and statements. Her defense of Misty as being the best woman with HaLeigh and Jr. was one of the most despicable things I have ever heard and seen; such a horrible slap in the face to Crystal, these precious children's mama.

When you read the custody court transcripts you get a feel for what life must have been like for Crystal when she was in the grip of Ron, Teresa, and Annette. I feel certain that Misty has also felt that grip, though in Crystal's case it was to take away her children; in Misty's case, to take the blame for the loss of one of them.

My STRONG OPINIONS

I have posted many times that IMO if Ron and Misty stayed up all night Sunday night talking, it was over the phone and not in person. GGMS stated that Misty showed back up around the time for Ron to go to work on that Monday.

I can understand that and agree that under normal circumstances if someone wasn't answering the phone at my home and I was worried, I might ask for the nearest friend or relative to go and check on them. But considering who the nearest friend or relative was and the history of that person, I can see why RC wouldn't want to send that particular relative over there as well.

Elle, what history are you talking about? Are you talking about Misty's story about Tommy messing with her? What history did Tommy have at that point in time?

I don't totally agree with ya, Emma. I think Ron was worried about more than whose kids Misty was babysitting. I do agree that at some point after the series of unanswered phone calls at his stop at the Kangaroo, he connected with either Misty or a family member, probably TN.

We shouldn't assume that because there was "a flurry" of unanswered phone calls that there were no answered phone calls afterward.

The last person to see 6-year-old Haleigh Cummings alive is still pointing the finger from behind bars. In newly release jailhouse conversations with her family, Croslin says that she is “not the key” and that the cops need to “move on.”

Haleigh Cummings / Misty Croslin
And shockingly, she adds that the investigators need to take a closer look at Haleigh’s dad, Ronald Cummings.

Misty Croslin (speaking to her father): When I called him that night, how come he didn't answer the phone? I called and called and he didn't answer the phone. And then as soon as I open the door he's there. And he talks like, he says he was a drug dealer and all this stuff back in the day. He talks about all this sh*t. Then why did that black guy say that some people had her and he was going to go back and get her. But if he told, if Ronald told, then he would come to kill him. There's all this sh*t that they don't even look at. They just wanna look at me.

We continue to see inconsistencies in what Croslin has to say about that night. In recent weeks we learned that both Misty and her brother Tommy were implicating their cousin–Joe Overstreet –in Haleigh’s disappearance. But check out what she said to her dad:

Hank Croslin: I know you didn't do nothing. I just don't know if you know something.

Misty Croslin: I don't know. I'm telling you. If I knew I would. It's just I don't know. You wanna like in my mind it's just like, you know, people keep saying this person, this person, so you know in your mind you're like well hey that's that person so you actually start to believe it, like the Joe thing. You just, I want to believe that because that's what I keep hearing and it just like makes like sense this is what happened you know, but I don't know for 100 percent that that was him. I don't know.

Seems like MC now wants LE to take a closer look at RC...doesn't MC see, the more she makes up tales, the more guilty she appears?? I swear, I see shades of ICA in MC..she can't keep her story straight, implicates others, she don't know nuthin...Now she's saying she doesn't know if JO was involved??? She don't know 100% that it was him???

Yeah, I do believe she does. It would serve her best if she told what she knows. I also feel, she has no true idea of what's facing her in terms of prison.

Poor HaLeigh...
