Breaking news in the LISK case

One more weird thing i just found. Some of the AC prostitutes were worried about a girl who went by the street name "Peaches"...at the time 12/22/2006 she had gotten arrested in AC. So she was accounted for at least then. I wonder if AC ever compared notes with NY/Suffolk Co. When was notorious case of "Peaches" being found in the container? Have we discussed this before? (Nevermind: that was 1997)

Here is a link to a site that has Quoted the entire original NYT article article:
http://webcache.googleusercontent.c...m+&cd=15&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us&client=firefox-a
Here is the original link to that NYT article:
Many Leads, but No Arrests in Killings of Four Prostitutes, NYT, 23.12.2006, http://www.nytimes.com/2006/12/23/nyregion/23slay.html

Look at all the named witnesses/prostitutes who were willing to speak to news reporters. Why didn't this happen in the GB4 case or JT's case? That article doesn't even mention, "Pam," Samantha the Asian transvestite or Zandra K. But in the AC case I have found the names of at least a half dozen women, who knew or knew of the AC4 and who willingly spoke to reporters.

That is of interest! Is that Peachs the same woman with the peaches tattoo? Perhaps the women willing to talk @AC4 because they were a closer knit group, having run into each other on the streets, did drugs together, "kicked it" whereas the GB4 were all independent escorts?

Never mind...I just read your never mind ; ) I'm confused when it comes to dates. So was your never mind saying that it couldn't be Peaches in the container because of the date?

Remember Evan Marshall? He was convicted of murdering/dismembering his neighbor. Interestingly, he lived in Glen Cove which is VERY close to Lattingtown. I wonder if LE or anyone else suspected him of other murders?

Also, I'm STILL wondering if any of the GB victims were dismembered. No one really talks about this possibility, well not lately anyway. But, I keep thinking about that "removed" comment by MB's mom (that they found another part of her body), and this news story: (from April 2011, I think)

That was an interesting article. It stated towards the bottom that all four women(GB4) were found in burlap bags. That's the most information I've ever read about the burlap.

I think we have another case of playing telephone. First reports by LE said 2 of the 4 were wrapped in burlap bags. And as far as dismembered bodies, this news was before the other six bodies were identified as Jessica Taylor, and the Jane Doe's. If the GB4 had been dismembered I think they would have had to conclude that the GB killer was also the Manorville killer. Let's not get so desperate for news that we start rewriting the story.

Isn't there a method to determine roughly how long the body had been there? Even a guesstimate would be helpful.

Well, if the roots have grown through a plastic garbage bag, we're talking years, not months.

I know when I was looking for possibles earlier, I skipped a couple of Asian women in their 40's because they were too old. Need to go back to see if I can find them now...

Not to nitpick but why does it say "Lattington" isn't it actually "Lattingtown?"

Yeah idk, that wording came from the ME office misspellings and all. it also goes from bag (singular) to bags. which has me thinking double bagged? JD9 the mother was described as being found in a bag or bags depending on what article you read. no clue as to if these remains are related to the others but do wonder why this case was entered into namus within a few weeks but we have no entry for the mother after nearly 2 years.

I guess they didn't feel comfortable venturing a guess, I see carbuff beat me to it but I would say at least 2 or more years for tree roots and vegetation. they could possibly narrow it down if it was recently disposed of from looking at larvae, but these remains seem to be skeletonized.

Double bagged, or dismembered? Could be either, I guess.

With the description of, nearly complete skeleton with blunt force trauma I guess it could mean several things but I'm leaning towards no dismemberment. It could also mean remains in one bag, clothing in another.

Good point.

In any case it doesn't sound very similar to either the Atlantic City or Gilgo Beach remains.

Thats what I was thinking. The article said there was growth coming up through the remains. Its sounds like remains have been their for awhile. Its in NAMUS now and this case will go away faster then it appeared. LE wont even estimate how old this woman was.

Three years ago, I saw one of the magazine shows. I think It was called Americas Dirty Little Secret. Its happening in NYC and across America. Young teens are kidnapped on their way to and from school. This is done by mostly by drug dealers and people from the Islands. Two cousins were walking home from school together. They never made it. They were kidnapped and taken to a house.one of the teens took note of the address. A man ( God bless him) called 911 and said he was at a truck stop and a young girl was going from one truck to the next. Police arrived. She was afraid to talk. She said she was kidnapped. She went on to say she was afraid her cousin would be killed. She gave the police the address they were held at. The girls were reunited with their families. This is happening every day.

Theres another group of girls who are forced into prostitution. They are forced into sex acts before and after school hours. They are BRANDED. This is done in the form of a tatoo. This is an identifying marker for other pimps to see. In other words shes already taken. The girls are threatened. They are told their famiy members will be killed. Two years ago one teen was told by her pimp he was interested in her sister. It backfired on him. She told her dean what was happening and was afraid for her sister. This was here in NYC. The police were notified. The family was relocated before arrestedwere made.

Most people dont know this is happening right in their own neighborhoods. I dont understand why parents and kids are not warned. Mothers probably tell their daughters they like their tatoos. This is Americas dirty little secret.

I meant to say how old the remains are. Also, theres a video I saw on youtube. I have to find it . It shows a large plastic garbage bag with what looks like tape wrapped around the middle of it. Several yards from that you can see LE pulling buried fabric out of the sand. It looked like what we referred to in the 70s a army blanket. It looked like a video from a helicopter.

This was on Ocean Pkwy. Not Lattingtown. Just wanted to clarify that.

I would guess longer than 2 years, since salt slows plant growth.

Also, this was a body buried in a plastic bag (perhaps double bagged). Plastic bags create an environment ripe for adipocere, which slows decomp. And since this body was buried AND bagged, insect activity would be minimal, imo.

I read the Namus report and I didn't see anything about "blunt force trauma." Where is that information?

If that is the case, this is similar to the men dumped in the Manorville. In the 2003 case and the most recent find with the blanket, shoes, and other items there was some attempt at burying and the victims may have had blunt force trauma...same with the male transvestite on OP.

Thanks for the correction you are right, the articles say the remains showed signs of trauma but wouldn't say where or how and I went with what seems to be the most common type, bft. getting way ahead of myself there.
