Breaking news in the LISK case

Hole in head doesn't mean gangland. Just means the person know that if you shoot someone in the forehead they will die. Now if the bullet entered behind the ear and exited out of the face...I'd lean towards gangland.

Marisha Cheong:
"Authorities say there were signs of trauma on her body, but the decomposition was so advanced that it isn't clear if it indicates foul play. Sources also say her hands may have been bound when she went into the water.

Cheong's disappearance touched off months of searching. Her family insisted she hadn't just run away, especially because she left her coat and her iPad behind. The body was wearing only pajamas and one shoe."

More on Marisha Cheong:
"The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death in the coming days, but police have already confirmed that Cheong's body showed signs of trauma. ABC reports that the body was found clothed only in pajamas and one shoe. Cheong had left her iPad behind in her apartment, along with her winter coats, which her family says is not normal behavior. Sources tell ABC that Balkaran, a 26-year-old delivery driver who freelances in the film industry, is being questioned."

Her mother and best friend recieved text from her phone. Only someone VERY CLOSE to her would know who they were. Her mother knew it was not her daughter texting her. Sad ending. That B-----D

It never ceases to amaze me that people kill someone in their apartment and somehow manage to take their body out of the home, put it in a vehicle, drive somewhere and dump it without anyone seeing them...especially in NYC or any city for that matter!!!

Just K,
People in NYC are in such a hurry and consumed with their own thoughts, pressures and responsibilities, if one is not showing any obvious signs of looking guilty, it is amazing what one can get away with. They
can put the body in a trunk or suitcase and casually stroll along with it as if going to the airport.
You could probably get away with a lot more in a big city, than in a small town where everybody knows everybody's business and every neighborhood has its busybody or better stated concerned protective neighbor.

I dunno. Plenty of that sort of thing goes on in the much smaller suburban area where I live, as well.

People on the whole just aren't very observant.

Since this case is dead and we are just rehashing the same ole info and arguments, it would be nice to keep this thread to reflect its title so we could check periodically for any new information re LISK. Just a thought.

Either that, or change the title so it clearly refers to the unidentified woman found in the Sheep Road grave. "Breaking news" isn't very informative several weeks later...and isn't there already a breaking news thread?

Yeah, here: [ame="http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?t=189079"]Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community[/ame]

It has become a thread for more than just the Sheep's Lane body but also other bodies that are washing up. Re: Marisha Cheong...people had speculated that she might be the one and others remarked that there were several missing Asian women from The Bronx and Flushing.

The creator of the thread might be the one to change the name of the thread.

Lattington isn't cold yet. LE just recently released more info through a special press release to the Asian MSM market. They released another picture of the necklace and the case was filed with Namus.

Lattington was found by a woman walking her dog, at least one of the Manorville victims was found by someone walking their dog, and Marissa Cheong was found the same way. It just makes you wonder why SG was not found on that first day when supposedly LE brought in a dog to search for her.

Then maybe we could change the title to "Missing persons cases that might be related to the LISK case but probably aren't."

On the day SG went missing, they should have brought in a dog to look for her. Especially when you consider the nature of the call she made. Whether she imagined if she was in danger or not is a seperate issue. GC said it was August before he saw LE again.

I like that. It's concise, accurate, and gives us a place to keep track of other cases without cluttering the other threads.

I think it has to be done by a moderator.

Hello to all. I'm new here and have much catching up to do on the LISK.

I want to say hi to my friend Seajay if she's here. I finally joined! (I got her hooked on the LISK case on another forum now defunct!)

I wonder if the necklace belongs to the killer.Do members of the Porcellian Club not wear pigs on chains etc? This would fit some of the profiles that the killer is well to do....
