British Bella May Culley 18, missing from Thailand, arrested in Georgia, May 2025

  • #541

"Pregnant 'drugs mule' Bella Culley

will seek a presidential pardon

in a desperate last bid to avoid jail

after family paid £140,000 to reduce sentence to two years.

Mr Salakaia said:
'After the plea bargain is reached,
we'll seek a presidential pardon for her
on the grounds of her pregnancy and other mitigating circumstances.

If the pardon is granted,
she will leave the country immediately'.

Mr Salakaia said
if that is refused there may be the possibility Bella is released under parole
'based on her behaviour and circumstances'
including that she is pregnant."

This seems to be a never-ending story.

I would be very interested indeed in learning where the £140,000 has come from. This sort of amount is likely to have completely beggared her family or been paid by a tabloid newspaper to secure her story in due course.

My money is on a tabloid newspaper or other money source with a vested interest in her story. Maybe Netflix or Apple want to make a film.

Maybe her granny took up after her j/k, I of course have not a clue who her granny really is.

I hope this teaches her a lesson in life.

British teenager - eight months pregnant and charged with drugs smuggling - is awaiting sentencing in prison in Georgia, South Caucasus. A payment of £137,000 by her family will reduce her sentence but what are the days like for Bella Culley, incarcerated 2,600 miles (4,180km) from home?
Speaking exclusively to the BBC, Bella Culley's mother reveals her daughter - now 35 weeks pregnant - has been transferred to a prison "mother and baby" unit.

I am expecting her to do the rounds of day time t.v programmes and to feature in a full page newspaper exclusive telling her tragic story and that nothing was her fault. Once the baby is born she will appear in all sorts of adverts for baby products and establish herself as an influencer.

I noticed her mother has had interview articles in the Mirror the last few consecutive days, which presumably involved payment.

I don't think it has ever been stated who he is, although The Star mentions a "Ross" or "Russ" whom she may have met in the Philippines.

The original articles about her said that she flew to the Philippines just after Easter, so she would already have been pregnant by then. Although of course we don't know if she previously met Ross/Russ in the UK

Her lawyer was right when he said Bella "is not far from childhood". She can't even build a sentence.

INail polish and no filters... I doubt she will succeed as an influencer. MOO JMO
I imagine as soon as she is back home her first priority will be to visit her beautician. By the time she appears on breakfast t.v she will be looking her old self unless of course she thinks there is more money to be made in creating an innocent ,wholesome earth mother imagine far removed from the guilty drug mule she really is.

BBM

Maybe she should consult an internet expert to wipe that photo and short video instead?
She will forever be remembered as a "not far from childhood 18-year-old drug mule". If people buy her story, they’re just as bad as she is.
And let's not forget the media. Profiting from a not innocent drug mule... they are not far from dealers themselves.

I wonder if the "beheaded video" guys are coming after her and her family? After all, it was 12 kg of marijuana... not 1,2 grams. I'd be terrified. MOO JMO

Wow!
I didn't expect that.

Let's hope she learnt her lesson
for the sake of the child she is expecting.

Georgian authorities showed real compassion towards Bella.
It was important that she pled guilty.

She seems really happy
and without filters and silly poses she looks much better :)

I hope she won't waste this new chance in life.

We all live and learn.

I doubt she has learned her lesson. When Mom and Daddy pay thousands of dollars on a drug trafficking fine, they’re enabling her. They just taught their "not far from childhood 18 year old mom-to-be drug mule" daughter that money solves everything and it's ok to traffic drugs. That’s the only lesson learned here. It wouldn’t surprise me if she does it again.

Whilst it is great news the baby won't be born in prison. I very much doubt this girl has learnt her lesson and like others fully expect her to do morning TV and red top interviews.

Oh well...
One can only hope.
After all
we cannot change others,
we can only change ourselves.

I can say that as a teacher,
I always hope the young people will find the right path in life :)
Bella was given a chance.
Now it is her turn to prove herself.

IMO there won't be any lesson learned and Bella will consider herself a victim. There is no deterrent to any other young, greedy, lazy idiots in Mum paying a fine and off home she goes. I just hope whoever interviews her first asks about her torture claims and her allegations against the Thai Police. I'd like to hear those answers. JMO
