I wonder if the companies are a front for potential income earned from the sale of drugs.

It would certainly be feasible for drugs to be concealed in consignments of seemingly innocuous goods such as toys or cosmetics. China, however, seems to mostly export fentanyl rather than cannabis.

I noticed one of the companies previously mentioned upthread had a registered office in Belfast.

It may be totally irrelevant but I always think Belfast is an interesting location for shady movements of “goods” (and sadly, people). It’s easy land access to southern Ireland and from there free movement into anywhere within the EU. And in reverse, of course.

Belfast was possibly chosen since Northern Ireland has historically had its own companies' registry but it was much smaller than the main one in Cardiff, which covered England and Wales, and the Scottish one in Edinburgh. The three maintained their own separate registries with Belfast being something of a backwater and therefore receiving less oversight and scrutiny. This situation has been changing, with all documents now filed at Cardiff, but it may well be that the Chinese person behind the incorporations not being aware of this.

He was said to be in possession of half a gram of the Class A substance when he was arrested last week.

After this, local police are believed to have discovered 28g of the drug at his property.

ETA The many many companies behind another person linked to one of the companies were being dissolved massively in April 2025 same date. If you look further at all the companies and diramations you find ore and more companies for which:

There is a pattern of appointments/resignations, and either (recent) liquidations, or compulsory strike offs. For all of them.
Business classifications mostly packaging, transport.

British 'drug mule' faces raising child in ex-Soviet prison

Teenage British 'drugs mule' Bella Culley faces raising her child behind bars in Georgia after she was caught entering the country with £200,000 worth of cannabis.

it comes as we can reveal Bella has confided in a source close to her legal case that she flew out to South East Asia 'for love'.

'She said that she was in love and that love was the reason she flew out to the Far East,' the source said. 'But she has said nothing about why she had the drugs.'

It adds to fears she was taken advantage of by someone involved in drugs trafficking after she posted cryptic messages on social media comparing herself to Bonnie and Clyde days before travelling from Bangkok to Tbilisi via Sharjah in the UAE.

Bella's father Niel Culley, 49, and auntie Kerrie Culley, 51, flew out to Tbilisi on Wednesday but have still not been able to visit her in jail due to bureaucracy.

Niel, who lives in Vietnam, was seen shaking whilst having a cigarette outside their hotel today and told the press he does not wish to comment on the case.

Officials have confirmed to the Mail that they have special rooms for inmates who have children where they can raise them for the first three years of their life.

After this period the toddler must be put up for custody with a family member if their mother is still serving their sentence - which would likely apply to Bella.

It raises huge complications as, while Bella's family is all British, her child would be born Georgian and citizens of the country are not allowed to hold more than one passport.

Georgian lawyer Eliso Rukhadze, who specialises in women's rights, told the Mail: 'Bella would be transferred to a hospital to have the baby and then rushed back to prison.

'Over the last few years, a large amount of funds have been allocated to make the space for mother and babies as comfortable as possible.

There was also a flight that went through Istanbul, and one that went through Doha, Qatar.

I would think the people that supplied the drugs would not want to risk exposing the stash in Istanbul, Doha, or Sharjah.

Unless, of course, they had some inside help or knowledge of how to avoid Xray or sniffer dogs for bags in transit.

Actually, I'm quite surprised she made it through BKK without those two suitcases being identified. As marijuana is legal in Thailand, perhaps they have their airport security people checking for other drugs, instead.
