Ok, this is insane, people.
I read every single news story put out from when a body was discovered. Every story said it was near Hwy 160 overpass and the Bike Trail. (Stories linked above.) A reporter went there in person and took pictures of the area lit up while the police were there. (Twitter news story linked above.)
Now, early today, the person (that's never been identified) that supposedly was in charge of the search announced that he fell off the bridge and was found in/next to the river.
Today, every local news story has been updated to now say that he was found in the river. Two miles from the police/coroner activity yesterday. (I did see one that said "along the river"--but still, 2 miles is hardly along the river.)
No. Just no. There were people that were involved in the original search of the bike trail talking about the exact area he was found.
I even posted earlier about not going on that search because of the terrain in that area and my bad knee.
And suddenly--it didn't happen?
Why? Why would they change the location and cause of death that fast? So that "accidental drowning" would be more sympathetic than people wondering accident/suicide?
