I agree it does seem far fetched. So far nothing in the local press about the Manson copycat theory.

Nor in the far less tabloidier British press. The Star is on par with the Globe...FWIW

I see nothing similar between these murders and the Manson killings other than "wealthy pregnant woman stabbed to death by intruder." Certainly there would need to be more to link it to a possible Manson fan?

I search for news updates every so often on this and the DiRodio case. LE is certainly being tight-lipped on any progress, I truly hope this does not turn into a cold case. When I look at the facts we know so far the EAR/ONS just does not feel right to me. I would like the Astro's to take a look at this but I see how busy they are ...

I don't think it is EAR/ONS either. I don't think the author of the article on TCD does either but they did point out the similarities and the differences.

It truly is a frightening murder.

Nothing in the news whatsoever! I read at another site that a relative works for the VCS and does not want the media publishing stories, rumor ONLY, no confirmation.

Tuba posted a chart back in June on the Astro thread, I posed a question to her asking for more details yesterday. Do you know if her family still farms in Somis?

Thanks Colette. A poster quite some time ago, made some statements regarding involvement in drugs and a fast lifestyle. Mods deleted it before the ink dried as it was not based in fact (rumor/speculation). It was a single post and they never posted again. I guess there was the possibility of a connection between the Husted and DiRodio murders, but I never really thought it made sense.

Its been some time since I posted and I have had major computer problems. I am back to say that I know very little about the Di Rodio murder but I am a dear friend of Wendy Di Rodio. We had been internet friends for over 9 years and had met two times even though she was in California and I was all the way on the east coast. She did not have a secret life and when the Husted's were killed she NEVER mentioned it, so I feel that she did not know them at all. She was a vibrant, bubbly, wonderful person. I do feel that she knew who murdered her. She would never have opened the door to a stranger. And too I believe her two dogs would have barked and tried to protect her in any way they could. The only thing I know at this time is, the case is continuing to move foward. Thats all I have been told. So its good to even have that tidbit. To know that they are still working on it and its not a cold case. Pray that this does not happen. Thank you for giving her case time and helping to keep it in the news, for whatever thats worth. Sure is too too quiet.

I'm very sorry for the loss of your dear friend. I did not know Wendy Di Rodeo, but feel from reading the hundreds of comments from those who did, she was a wonderful person. Her murder was so senseless, I hope her killer is found and brought to justice quickly. Thank you for sharing your relationship and what you know of the investigation.

Knox, thats just it, i don't know anything. have not been told enough to even say it myself. even the family is the same way. they know little. so we are just waiting. and waiting. and waiting. seems like an eternity. i mean is they have a suspect, and this is what i have heard, then why not arrest them. just seems crazy to me. and i only heard the suspect thing on here. we all are sooooo frustrated. MUST GET THE JOB DONE is what i say but PLEASE dot the i's and cross the t's. we do not need another OJ. thats for sure.
