top of the hill Where exactly?

drag mark it was very large Where was this drag mark? The ravine? Side of the hill? By the cell tower?

I said is that where they pulled it up and she said yes the tow truck driver pulled it up from there Who is She and how does she know this? Was she LE or part of the search team?

they said no it was laying in the ditch right there. What ditch and were was it located? And who was They?

Sorry, your insight or should I say opinion has me confused. I thought we had all the facts on this. I don't mean any disrespect here. You were there, I was not. I guess I had my head wrapped around it one way and now your saying something that does not fit that line of thinking. I sure wish you could provide pictures.

Ok the drag marks are from the ditch on the side of the mountain up towards the cell tower. The LE did not assist us volunteers in any of the searches. The "she" is from on of the main players who setup the command post, she spoke directly with the tow truck driver. There is no ravine there I think there is confusion based on the initial report from the media on this. I am on my phone I do have pictures in here but I'm on the web based browser. That's why I stated some pages back that there seems to be confusion on the actual accident and that it needs to be cleared up.

If that would be the case, what would make him go back to the location that he saw sheriffs patrolling?

They wouldn't see him from his current location. For instance if you are driving up lake Hughes road on the left hand side there are a few look out points where people would go and park however you would usually have an LE pull up there and ask what you are doing etc... So he could've seen that at 2 am and kept driving until he saw the break in the guard rail and said oh I can park behind the tower. There is a ton of room up there

So at the top there right at the cell tower it's flat then slopes maybe 20 degrees and then almost levels out again (the ditch I'm talking about with a lip, Amanda has seen this) if you notice all the brush there not a single brush was flat or disturbed by a 3000 LB SUV rolling over them. Like I said I fully believe this is an error in reporting.

IMO on this is that for the "story" they used the ramp road as a point of reference so that people would get the idea of where it was.

Ok, if anything we have confirmed that there is confusion. I'm 50/50 on this point, not saying your wrong or I'm right. Bottom line is BL is missing and not sure what bearing it would have on that fact. The only thing I can think of is from what point did the search dogs pick up his scent and followed it to the lake, dam, and then out of the park.

I agree that the media does that- they will use the same image over and over again if they think it represents the area, even if its wrong. I saw that happen in an episode of Snapped I watched. The woman who killed her husband lived in San Ramon. The sign they showed of San Ramon is right by my husband's work, I recognized where it was, but it's not at the Civic Center or heart of San Ramon, and it's certainly not where the woman lived, because it's in a business park.

I know where that is if you are talking about behind the antenna enclosure, but that is not where they were showing the pieces of broken red plastic that looks like tail light. Hmm. Here are two screen shots of what the media shows as the crash site and a link to a video (I have a second video link that also says the car was found on Main Ramp Road). Is this not the location that vehicle was found? TIA.

Gah! Ok. We're getting closer. But there was a pic either in MSM or a few threads back showing this, but from a wider angle with a better idea of surroundings.

I think the point was whether or not it was purposeful or accidental. If it was purposeful he would likely have used enough force to hit the bottom where as if it was an accident its more likely less speed was used and it was an accident as he didn't hit the bottom?

Totally on the same wavelength here. I read the first line & asked myself 'but from where did the dogs pick up the scent going from the MR Rd down to the water?'

Or is this possible misreporting as well & they picked it up from the SUV potentially on the leveled out area / ravine?

Why this matters IMO is if the vehicle was only 15' below the cell tower, where he went from there says a lot about the state of mind. Did he go straight down the hill to the water (not very logical if thinking clearly) or did he climb back up & walk down Lake Hughes Rd - more logical, but then why did he go down to the water from there? It was dark & vacant at that hour. IMO this shows a lot about state of mind.

I actually didn't think of that but that's good. I like it for use of state of mind. Hm. Maybe we contact the Signal and ask if the pictures used were taken for this event?

Cat Fancier does contacting media for clarification on photos also count under against TOS?

If you are lurking and can't join because you're waiting for verification and are interested in joining the search of buttonwillow, I am "Amanda Fastovsky" on Facebook.

It's possible he went down to the water to wash off blood, even if it was just a nose bleed..

Would it be possible after all this time to see any blood spots anywhere? Surely, this has been checked out already by LE..

So this looks to be very close to the road. Do we know for sure if this is from Bryce's vehicle?

RiverKing21 - I really want to believe your version, because it does make a lot of sense to me. Would you mind getting verified as a local so we can weigh your information against what we have?

I searched for any clue possible and there's nothing there. It was cleaned up very well.

I saw some foot tracks but because its soft dirt they were very short lived and not distinguishable so it could have easily been LE.

We couldn't even find a shard of glass a few days later so very good clean up.

I believe riverking (friends in real life) already submitted for verification. Don't think they've called him yet.

I don't know if this has been addressed or not or even if it matters, but there are no red lights or lenses on the front of the car. They are red on the back. jmo
