My heart just jumped out of my chest when I read your post (I should have finished reading without pausing.)

I think the trib was irresponsible with that headline!!!!

I am following Abigail hernandez case and i just saw this bryce Lapisa's missing
I went to his missing FB page and saw that the last sighting could be near my area where i work.
The address in milliken they mentioned there is the area for the famous ontario Mills outlet
and also closer to ontario international airport . The area is more closer to rancho cucamonga city than the ontario proper.
This is a commercial area too and there will only be few homeless people walking around.
They should look closely on the truck Stop by milliken , closer to the 10 freeway and it is a big area where many truckers spend their nights resting complete with some amenities, restroom , open for public. Check also adjacent parks.

All post above are just my opinions only.

I posted on the Find Bryce FB page that there is a known homeless young man in the area that does resemble Bryce but that we would keep an eye out for this man that was sighted. Someone deleted my comment. I guess they don't want anyone to know about him. Oh well.

it is on their top post now

you should post this on the facebook page or message the page with this info

does anyone know if the cops and/or bryce's family are checking websleuths for tips and ideas?

here is what i recommend to check or drive around in Milliken/Ontario Ca

1. truck stop by the 10 freeway and milliken
2. Ontario mills outlet
3. Mcdonalds outside ontario Mills outlet ( you could see sometimes carts here )
4. drive around 4th street, haven , milliken and archibald

I might drive around later to help.

so my top theories are:

-perhaps undiagnosed mental illness that he was self-medicating in the past has cause him to become incredibly erratic and irrational. psychotic break?
-wants to start life over as a totally new person with a new identity
-possibly has already committed suicide
and none of these are mutually exclusive obviously.

i know bryce has past issues with drugs. was he a current drug user? in contact with drug dealers he might have owed lots of money to?
did he cheat on his girlfriend and feel incredibly guilty about it?

I live in Hesperia, however, I've been going down there every weekend posting flyers at the mall, handing them out at the truck stop and McDonalds. Most of the businesses won't allow me to post a flyer so I'm doing the best I can. I'll be going down there again first thing in the morning and hitting up the homeless camp. Fortunately for me I am not a shy person and can and will talk to most everybody :)

I'm not sure what problems Bryce may have had, but I am absolutely sure he needs to be found. I don't think police have suggested there is any question of foul play/ meetings/people in the vehicle with him?

so apparently the sighting was not bryce :(

La2cabo - I assume you're a woman as your sig says "Navy mom" (I'm a Navy wife!). But...please don't go to the homeless camps alone!!! We don't need a thread on here for YOU!

I am thankful for all you are doing, and admire your dedication. But, we want you safe!!! :seeya:

from the Find Bryce Laspisa FB page

Ontario Ca. Sighting Was Not Bryce. Ontario Police was notified of a person fitting Bryces description but found it was not him.
After today's sighting, Robert, the manager at Cort furniture was nice enough to go out with flyers and reverify that this person was not Bryce and that he didn't see anyone else in the area fitting the description. THANKS ROBERT !

Rainbow Gathering - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Has anybody heard of Rainbow Gatherings before?

Last night I was talking to my bil who was a wandering homeless man for many years. He has a mental illness that, due to advances in medications and his willingness to take them, has been under control for almost two decades now.
When he considered himself homeless, he told me he never stayed in one place for very long but had two friends who he'd meet up with from time-to-time. I'm uncertain how they communicated or if they'd just run into each other randomly.
Anyway, out of the blue, he mentioned that sometimes he got invited to something called a Rainbow Gathering.
I asked, what's that? He said a bunch of people out in the wilderness/woods who gather together. He added the food wasn't good especially the rotten potatoes. lol! I tried to get more info out of him because the purpose of these gatherings wasn't clear to me. He didn't really know either but said he was uncomfortable there and left almost as soon as he arrived. There's no point of trying to make sense sometimes, just take what's being said as someone recalling an experience.
He made an interesting comment that, when his illness began to manifest itself (no one knew what to think or what to do imo), he felt they pushed him away (they were scared/in denial?). He said what bugged him the most was, "everyone was trying to tell me how to live". Therefore, he wanted to leave the familiar place that was no longer the same.

Since he'd been in the military for about two years (before being medically discharged when illness emerged), he'd been through basic and survival training. He credits that training for being comfortable living/sleeping in nature if he had too. He likes to remind peeps that mental illness doesn't equal stupid (I agree).

Anyway, after mulling this conversation over today, I decided to post some of it after I googled 'Rainbow Gathering'. I was surprised when a bunch of info came up today (as bil's experiences took place a long time ago), along with info about scheduled dates in various cities. Montana and Northern California came up on the first page.
Just thought I'd throw the story out here as sometimes God works in mysterious ways.

I think it may have been to remind people that, while redheads are more rare, they aren't so rare that any man with red hair around Bryce's age should be called in as a sighting. My son looks remarkably like Bryce with the same color hair and, while I agree that there are less redheads than blondes, brunettes, etc. we have at the very least 12 kids with red hair living within a 3 block radius around us. They aren't as uncommon as people think (though people may not realize it until they have a reason to notice it, such as they have a red haired child, are looking for someone like Bryce with red hair, etc.)

I really have to disagree....12 kids with red hair in a 3 block radius is RARE unless they all belong to the same mother. I am a natural red head, not one of my kids have red hair. There was one other red haired girl in my class of 700 in hs and she does not have red haired children. Red hair is RARE...they may very well be dyed. I'm sorry I LOOK for kindred spirits (red heads) EVERYWHERE I go, always have....in FLORIDA, they are like a unicorn. (true red heads....not all the women who are wanna be's)

now, I expected to log in here tonight with much more info....any word from the uncle? did he stop posting?

I do not believe Bryce has a head injury. He is gone on his own accord or he is deceased. I don't believe there is wiggle room for anything else.

agreed. and an interview with bryce's uncle makes me think this isn't the first time bryce has scared them with his behavior. not necessarily that he's ever done smthng on this level before but that his history leads them to believe something was troubling him and he definitely went of his own accord

oh wow, I never saw/heard that, I was uner the impression any prior behavior/use was trying to be kept under wraps.

BBM not today that I've seen but I bet he's pretty busy, with the search this weekend. I don't think he's at the search physically, but I bet he's doing a lot behind the scenes (plus last we heard he was pretty sick - Dragz hope you're feeling better!).

Hadn't heard of these before but it most definitely explains a gathering I ran across a few years ago. I called it a festival but I really had no idea what it was. I didn't go into the main area, just saw people walking and biking to/from, but I felt like I'd been transported into the 1960's.

From what I've read about Bryce it doesn't seem like his kind of "thing," - I just don't envision him going from excited about a new Madden football video game to a peace and love fest in the forest, BUT, you never know. It's certainly worth looking into any possibilities IMO.

ETA: I'm glad your BIL is doing so much better and no longer wandering homeless. Sorry I forgot that in my original post. :)
