Whatever the verdict, I hope there is a civil lawsuit against Nima Momeni. The Lee family may not need the money, but they need justice.

Jurors in the trial of Nima Momeni, the man charged with murdering Cash App founder Bob Lee in San Francisco, were unable to reach a verdict during the sixth day of deliberations since getting the case.

Wait what?!? Just catching up here! How could this be going on so long? It seemed so straightforward! Did the prosecution err by keeping Nima’s sister on the stand for so long and confuse the issues? I stopped following because it seemed she was on trial, not Nima. Or is there something else going on?

Edited to add: I see there is finally a verdict!!! Fingers crossed and thank you @arielilane for keeping us up to date in this case!

We’re about 25 minutes out from the verdict in the Bob Lee murder trial. Journalists lined up outside the courtroom (more than we’ve seen for trial). I’ll be live on @abc7newsbayarea streaming immediately after the verdict is read as well as midday, 3 & 4pm shows.

Jurors were instructed to consider a single count of first-degree murder with an enhancement of using a deadly weapon. If they cannot reach a unanimous verdict on that charge, they can consider lesser charges of second-degree murder, voluntary manslaughter or involuntary manslaughter.
