Wow, this woman is a real piece of work. Whip-Its? She’s doing Whip-Its at her age and with her money? We did those in high school when we were too poor and stupid to know better, you just take the cartridge out of a can of whipped cream. Yes they get you high, but only for about a minute at a time.

Despite all her dodging and hot mess of fuzzy memories, she’s so transparent. I doubt the jury is buying any of her BS.

Never knew what whip-its were until this trial. The other day while at the store, the clerk asked a customer who was purchasing super (small tube) glue if they were at least 18 years of age.

In addition, stores have been putting cold meds behind the counter for years now, right? No longer kept in the cold medicine aisle. moo

Anyway, money cant buy a person happiness- it comes from within. jmo :)

Same here I never heard of the term. I knew some people were getting high off Nitrous but no idea how. Reminds of the old Southpark episode. People come up with strange ways to get high. Cold medicine is for making meth. That's well documented. MOO

The knife was taken from Khazer's kitchen by NM but the defense team will try to say that the knife was taken by Bob Lee. What would have been Bob Lee's motive? Clearly, NM had a motive as we know of his angry call to Bob Lee based on BL's friend's testimony.

Also, was Bob Lee set up when he was invited to the apartment? Or were they more likely just going to continue their partying at Khazar's place. Bob Lee likely went there innocently, or to clear the air with regard to Nima's accusations and anger, but Nima had other plans.

IMO, the prosecution has to lay this out better to the jury as it is confusing as to all the details of their case. I guess that will come with their closing argument, or is still to be made more clear with more testimony and evidence.

Khazar Momeni w/ her mom & an attorney she said her attorney asked to escort her into court. Khazar testified she has not spoken w/ her mother or brother about the case. She has spoken w/ Nima’s attorneys but said only about $. She & her husband are paying a portion of legal fees

No one is going to believe she hasn't talked to her mother or brother about the case. Seriously? A catastrophic upheaval where a person was killed like this and they don't talk about it? They've had more than a year since the murder, her dear protective bother in jail and the family doesn't talk about it? It's not believable. gmab

It is odd to me that these people are doing whippets, also. It was much more than a decade ago that I knew anyone to use them. I agree they only last a minute or very few and anyone that I knew to use them were always young.

This case makes me infuriated because HE COULD HAVE BEEN SAVED if that cowardly citizen didn't look the other way and high tail in the other direction when he saw a bleeding man begging for help! Who the hell does that?! I know, I know - the bystander effect. The bystander effect is real but research shows that people are more likely to help when more people are present. I'm sure the guy was scared because it was a pretty lonesome street but good god, he could've done SOMETHING, ANYTHING to help.

Today should focus on the testimony of the defendant’s sister, Khazar Momeni.

Khazar Momeni has said on the stand that her brother Nima Momeni never told her about what happened after her brother left her apartment with Bob Lee.

"I don't think it was my place to ask that question," said Khazar, about finding out what happened to Bob Lee.

Khazar describes a chill night (days before Bob Lee's killing) including alcohol and cocaine and friends over until 4 a.m. “It wasn't a crazy night. We drank a little bit and maybe a little bit of cocaine...Not much, I remember that night pretty well.”
At one point that night Khazar texted her brother: “Did you take the rock that was left at my house? I had got that to last me a month. I can't keep paying for blow and give it to people.”

When asked about this text and another about him actin crazy, the prosecutor has now asked if this was an indication that her brother was using lots of cocaine. Khazar says on the stand that he was not taking lots of Cocaine over the weekend.

When asked who was at a gathering at her house with Bob Lee, Khazar says: “I have to say there names...I don't feel comfortable giving out people’s names.”

“He came with the drug dealer," she said about Bob Lee and his allegedly dealer Jeremy Boivin, who Khazar had not met. The party, where everyone was using cocaine and drinking, broke up around a.m. "He brought me a big tank of nitrus" and GHB, she said of Boivin.

Khazar says she had never done GHB, the date rape drug, and didn't see anyone take it. Boivin put a bottle of GHB on her counter and accidentally left it there.

"Did you enjoy spending time with Jeremy that morning," asks the prosecutor, to which Khazar says only that she was "very high.”

"When it starts to break up, did you go somewhere with Jeremy," asks the prosecutor. "Yes we drove around and he asked me to come see his place," she replies.

(Khazar was eventually retrieved in a daze from Jeremy's the afternoon before Lee's killing and may have told her brother she was assaulted at Jeremy's house.)

Khazar says Jeremy and her went to the beach and then went to Jeremy's apartment on April 3. She invited a friend too. Bob Lee, Khazar, Jeremy and others had been partying at this point all nigh and into the afternoon.

At the apartment Khazar and Boivin were alone and she took LSD and she took a drink with GHB in it. "I thought I could trust him. I have gathering at my house all the time and no one gets drugged," she said, adding that she did not know the dosing of GHB.

An hour or two later Lee arrived and a friend of his joined. Khazar says at that point she was feeling the drugs a bit. "GHB first starts to relax you and slowly puts you out, so I was pretty relaxed at that point," she said. She only felt a little bit of the LSD.

At one point that morning, Khazar asked her brother if she and Jeremy could use her brother's boat.

Before Khazar is asked about texts between her and her husband plastic surgeon husband, Dino Elyassnia, the defense confers with the judge and prosecution. https://dinomd.com

It appears that Khazar is reluctant to speak about the texts between her and her husband during the early morning she had a party at one of her two apartment's in the Millenium Tower.

At the April 3 party at Jeremy Boivin's—where Khazar was later found nearly nude after taking GHB—Bob Lee was asked to leave, along with his friend, by his alleged dealer Boivin.

He claims self-defense, if that's true, why didn't he call for help? jmo
