There was a police briefing this morning in LA.
Highlights:
- Now have over 1,000 clues
- Sports Chalet Video: Said they now have it in their possession but won't confirm yet if it is himin the video (However, later in the briefing, in answer to a reporter question, he sort of DID CONFIRM it is Dorner)
- Some sighting at a Manhattan Beach hotel may or may not have been him.
- Warrant was about what they were going to investigate.
- LA City Council to discuss later today adding 100 Thousand to the reward.
- Asking people who own cabins in Big Bear to check any video cameras from last Thursday the 7th to today.

I am sure I missed other possible important information.

Second African American Former LAPD Officer Writes Manifesto (myfoxla.com)
Joe Jones is LAPD retired. He abhors what fugitive Christopher Dorner has wrought. But he understands the frustration and pain he suffered while on the force.

Jones wrote his own manifesto on Facebook today and his experience echoes Dorner's. As that posting has been reposted on other sites, he felt the need to set the record straight.

He doesn't side with Dorner, never knew him and wasn't Facebook friends with him.

No, TMZ.COM Reports He paid with Cash. Either He wants LE to look @ water Bodies,I.e. Lakes,Ocean, Marsh lands, Delta,Salton Sea,Etc. for further investigation and Surveillance or He Will Use this @ some point . One tank has ,How many minutes of use? He bought 2 small ones and had a large one filled w/ oxygen. Is it possible to Remove the O2 and enter a different type of Gas. Helium?

I didn't see where your questions were answered. The black one holds 80 cubic feet of air at 3,000 pounds of pressure. If you stay within a depth of 33 feet, it can last for hours. The deeper you go, the more you go through. It would also depend on their breathing and his is probably pretty good at slowing it down based on the Navy background. The smaller ones look almost like back up bottles but I can't tell. You can remove the 02 and replace it with helium but I'm not sure if that is something he could do himself or not.

The large majority of people here in this area of California don't see him as anything more than a crazed cop killer and insane murdered.

Yes, the majority. The majority didn't riot after the Rodney King verdict either, but some folks sure did!

I don't know how to say this other then to just say it, but it seems that CD has all but fallen over himself in this pursuit. It took them 3 days to figure out he murdered 2 people, He couldn't get a boat out of the harbor(rope wrapped around prop),he fires on 2 cops and escapes, he breaks an axle on his truck (or so we are to believe), and now he is no where to be found. This is not looking good.

Do you think it was his way of attempting to shame and punish people he felt wronged him? Make them quake in their boots, even the score--from his perspective?

Because "logically" you are right. It makes no sense, particularly operationally.

Some of it seems that way, especially when he makes it clear that he knows their protocols and tactical operations. By calling them out by name, it would make his intentions clear and probably worry those named. He probably didn't expect them all to be given a personal security detail, so he's probably regretting that fact right now. But it seems more like he was trying to garner sympathy. He may have thought that publishing this manifesto would garner him so much sympathy and civil unrest that he would get away with his crimes and become a hero or something. The whole thing is just very odd, and fascinating at the same time.

I thought that it was very controlled and collected. But it was also very arrogant and delusional how he shouted out to celebs as if he were some sort of martyr. That was written though before all of the heat was on him, so who knows how he is reacting now.

I really don't think that he has anyone helping him. For one thing, I don't think that anyone would be stupid enough to help him, plus a million dollar bounty would be hard to pass up. Money talks. And another, he clearly thinks that he is better than most as evidenced by his manifesto so I don't think that he would ever ask for help. I think the manifesto was his way of letting certain people know how he feels since he will probably never see them again.
I got the same impression reading it, since he states he'll miss several weddings and such. I think he knew he wouldn't still be alive for them. So the question is, is he planning suicide, or suicide-by-cop???

Yes, that I definitely agree with. He has to be a very angry individual to hold onto a grudge that happened in elementary school. I wonder if the LAPD saw that and used the kicking incident as their leverage to get rid of him. Whether or not he was wronged in the beginning, he clearly should not be a police officer.
I was bullied for 3 years in elementary school, but I got my satisfaction by verbally telling off one of my bullies. I didn't feel a need to go out and kill him.:what::what::what:

Don't they have psych evals before hiring LE?

I also think they should have regular psych evals for all LE in order to identify potential nutcases like Dorner.
Yeah, can't figure out how the LAPD and military accepted him.:waitasec::waitasec::waitasec:

Christopher Dorner's college minor is in psychology. I'm assuming he could mask behaviors effectively.
I minored in Psych in college. You don't learn enough to do that, IMO...:twocents:

I think I have 15 hours in psych; trying to remember just what it was I learned. Love the subject. Jungian textual analysis, anyone?? lol

If he were self aware enough he probably could (I am sure there are books on the subject).

Having said that I doubt if he did simply because if he was that self aware he wouldn't have come across like such a nut in his manifesto, he also wouldn't have acted like a nut on the job.

He is not that controlled or capable of that level of self-analysis.

I don't think that he would ever kill himself. It is a cowardly way out, and he thinks of himself as a bad***. Suicide-by-cop definitely, but I don't think that he thinks of it that way. He probably sees himself going down in a blaze of glory during a shootout, which is essentially suicide-by-cop.

Yes, I did some additional research, and the ALLEGED accomplice is most likely the man referenced in the Manifesto, a certain "Jason Y."

<modsnip>

Read the UNCENSORED manifesto here: http://thecreditreportwithbilllewis...-manifesto-of-a-deranged-former-lapd-officer/

Read the criminal complaint here: http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2013/imagesF/02/09/dorner.complaint.pdf

There is a Jason Yxxxx who owns a wedding video business in Anaheim. He seems to be very outspoken about Orange County municipal issues, including blogging about the Anaheim PD. This blog topic specifically addresses a former PO accused of using excessive force:

Most of mine were the general "need this to certify as a teacher" classes.

I can't find the FB page that the reporter claims is the real Dorner. Does anyone else have the link? Since Dorner is a named suspect then posting to his FB page is okay right?

From what I gather it is chrisdorner52. I still can't access it, so I don't know what that means in terms of facebook and privacy settings. After looking around a bit, I'm getting the feeling Anonymous has reached out to him and if that's the case, he will be able to communicate online with their help.
