maybe the scuba tanks were part of the plan when he thought he was going to be able to get his hands on a boat. maybe no boat = no use for scuba tanks anymore

The Task Force attempting to capture fugitive homicide suspect Christopher Dorner asked residents and business owners in the Big Bear area on Tuesday, Feb. 12, to check surveillance footage from security cameras for images of Dorner.

The time period for looking at the tapes would be from midnight Feb. 7 to the present.
Los Angeles Police Department said the request for video does not signal any additional belief that Dorner might still be in the San Bernardino Mountains.

The Orange County district attorney's office said Monday that it would hold off on filing criminal charges against Christopher Dorner in connection with the double homicide in Irvine that launched the manhunt across Southern California for the former LAPD officer.

Schroeder said Orange County prosecutors have worked with Irvine police and have been involved in the investigation. If and when Dorner is caught, she said, the Orange County district attorney would then pursue criminal charges for the Irvine killing.

Or maybe he meant to type "out", as in "we need to hold out" ??? Just another possibility.

I think (based on the previous word and the subject of that paragraph) he was typing, "We need to hold ourselves accountable...."

Yes, that I definitely agree with. He has to be a very angry individual to hold onto a grudge that happened in elementary school. I wonder if the LAPD saw that and used the kicking incident as their leverage to get rid of him. Whether or not he was wronged in the beginning, he clearly should not be a police officer.

I absolutely agree. I believe that there were a lot of warning signs from his date of hire and LAPD was looking for a justifiable and allowable reason to let him go after he choked a fellow officer. They, more than likely, would have been justified in letting him go after that incident but, because of the circumstances surrounding his reaction, probably didn't want to open that door to the scrutiny of the public. IMHO.

Don't they have psych evals before hiring LE?

I also think they should have regular psych evals for all LE in order to identify potential nutcases like Dorner.

Yes, potential LE officers have psych evaluations, extensive interviews plus background checks, neighbor interviews, family interviews, friend interviews, past significant relationship interviews, and even polygraphed interviews.

Can someone please paraphrase or describe how this blogger has been communicating with Dorner or what he says Dorner is telling him? I'm at work and we have filters...I can't pull up the page. Thanks!

I looked at it,and it just appears to be parts of his manifesto (the rantings at LAPD), that is being reposted as Facebook status updates. No proof that he is the one doing it, and the blogger doesn't seem to believe he shot the people he did!:banghead::banghead::banghead:

A 3.0 is a nothing... It's not until they're at least 5.0 that they're significant,IMO.:twocents:
Someone a couple minutes after that tweeted, "@NBCLA no one is going to feel that"

I don't know what it will take for me to join Facebook so I can view some of the pages that people discuss here, but I am not there yet.

Yes, the majority. The majority didn't riot after the Rodney King verdict either, but some folks sure did!

A small handful of people will take ANY excuse to act like animals. The LA riots are a prime example of a select few taking an opportunity to act like animals and get some free shoes in the process. This idiot isn't going to cause a riot. Aside from people being a bit more aware of the guy in the car next to them at a stop light and feeling sorry for the families of the people he killed most people have gone on with their lives and aren't talking about it around here (but I, admittedly, don't run in the same circles as people who would riot over such things.) He messed up when he killed a female, a promising young black male and an unrelated cop some two plus hours away from Los Angeles. This man who wanted so desperately to be reinstated as a cop, who grew up amongst white kids and who encouraged his ex girlfriend to "act more like a white woman" doesn't speak to the rioting community as Rodney King did so many years ago.
