Sounds like he didn't hide how he felt in this encounter

"Family friend Simon Astaire said Rodger was “very much a boy of solitude” who spoke few words.

“At a Christmas party, I went out to get air and there he was standing alone. I apologized for disturbing his peace, and he said it was all right. I asked, ‘How are you doing?’ He said, ‘I find things difficult.’ I walked away thinking that he was very sad lonely boy,” Astaire told The Associated Press."

"Rodger wrote about Radley’s arrival at his middle school years later: “He immediately became popular with the pretty girls of his grade. I hated him for it.”

“I mean, I didn’t even know I was popular with the girls. I was just friendly to everybody,” Radley said.

Radley described the Rodger he knew as a smart loner who never looked him in the eye and had very little to say.

“He would have one-word answers. I never really heard him speak,” he said.

Radley said he couldn’t believe what Rodger said in his YouTube videos, where he described his plans for bloodshed.

“I didn’t know who that was. The guy that I knew wouldn’t say a word,” he said. “I can’t wrap my mind around it. It’s tough, it’s tough.”

Oh, for anyone thinking I meant anything like killing the man in my last post, I didn't mean lie and do that. He actually killed himself sadly. Messed with his dosages, messed with alcohol & drugs too. Underneath it all he was a nice guy.

Many mentally ill people are very smart and some smooth enough to fool LE on a visit. jmo

But Katy......that's what we've been doing as a society and it apparently isn't working. What's the solution?

I don't have a solution. Having lived with the problem, in my face, and with great difficulty, for 45 yrs already, I have no working solution. I sure wish I did.

I am just saying that the parents do not usually have any workable options. Unless your child is way out of touch with reality, or breaking the law, you have no way of getting him into a living program or a halfway house. And those are either legally mandated or with the patient's consent.

If you have a child that 'seems' dangerous, but has not acted out in a public way and been caught, then you have no recourse to lock him up.

I do not know the solution. I wish we knew what caused Explosive Disorder, Aspergers and schizophrenia. I wish we had preventative treatments. I wish we had mental health treatments which worked. But we are falling short in those areas right now.

My brother was often delusional and aggressive. I was very worried he was going to hurt someone. But I did not know what to do. I called the police many times over the years after scary phone calls from him. I had the police do wellness checks. they would call me later and say he seemed 'fine.' "odd but fine' they would say.

Then he would call me seething, and threaten me and my family, insisting we were trying to have him killed. I learned to deaden my concern for society and just tried to protect my husband and kids. Sorry to admit that. But I really had no recourse.

I understand. Really, I do.

I'm sorry to bring up this topic, but ...

I wonder if ER ever had a pet?

IIRC... ER's sister had two pets (can't remember what type... Hamster and ??) and they didn't live but a year or two...

I remember reading this in his manifesto... and I wondered, too, if he had a history of harming animals...

And... If he had a history of starting fires...

He also tried to push women of the ledge. Sounds to me like that should have considered more seriously. He wasn't even charged with anything for that incident.

Absolutely! Cops deemed to unnecessary. Obviously shoving people off of ledges is standard horseplay there.
Too bad the girls on the ledge didn't press charges but, if they did we might be reading their obit in today's news too. :(

He was skateboarding. With girls, I read. That must have infuriated ER. Poor fella had no idea.

I don't know what you guys think about the gun grab.false flag theory - I mean- the 137 pager was too well written - I mean, diction and all - this was something else- just bizarre.

[modsnip]

Still, there IS something about this kid - an odd trait - remember when James told him to "KEEP YOUR PROXIMITY?' (pp 94-95?)

Also, the gun range, a lousy shot, etc.

Gosh - so happy I didn't have to lve at the Capri - looks like hell. When I went to college - we lived in big houses that surrounded the neighborhood with names like RED HOUSE, THE FACTORY, THE BARN, HOCKEY HOUSE, 425 Quincy,,,

I am still trying to explore the American Psycho phenomena here:

Still, I mourn for the victims... and ER should have been treated ( to a trip to the Cheetah Club) but it is - it just blows me away - that we have this information... the videos... the 137 pager... we have it all.

Love ya,
G

It's so interesting, to me, to get the otherside of the story, the others perception, the perception of a healthy person or two. We have a few, now, that I've posted. I'm stunned. It seems to me, much was all in ER's mind...and then there was reality. Wow.

Andi Chan said he and Rodger were friends for two and a half years.

"Me and my friends tried to help him," said Chan. "He doesn't like to talk or hang out."

Sorry if this is a repeat..It's the first time I've heard any mention of this much more recent run-in that ER had.
I hope we get more details on exactly what happened at some point.

Isla Vista suspect 'pushed everyone away,' neighbor says

~snip (BBM)~
At least a month ago, the neighbor was himself sitting in the courtyard around 9:30 p.m. when Rodger arrived with “his face all bashed in, his knuckles cut up,” crying, the neighbor said.

The 22-year-old asked what happened and Rodger initially rebuffed him. But after the pair talked some more, the neighbor pressed the issue, and when Rodger calmed down, he eventually admitted to having been jumped by multiple men.

Rodger was upset, the neighbor said, and told him: “I’m going to kill them, and kill myself.”

“I didn’t know if he was serious or not,” the neighbor said of Rodger. So they kept talking for about three hours, and by the end, the neighbor said Rodger was smiling and laughing and making jokes. Rodger eventually calmed down, thanked him and went inside.

Since then, the neighbor said he had seen Rodger four or five times walking to and from his BMW from his apartment, No. 7.

He himself said he had a turtle and a lizard (iguana?) as a child, before his sister got the dog. He said neither lived more than a year. Not sure what their cause of death was. I'm only on page 28. I made my husband get take out for dinner, but sadly I still have these pesky domestic duties hounding me.

A hamster can live from 2 to 4 years, rarely 5, an Iguana can live up to 20 or so, depending on what kind. We all know how long a dog can live. hmmm

I'm seeing two different Elliot's here. jmo

Oh, he was very racist! Although he was half-Asian himself... he hated fully Asian men. He really hated Black and Hispanic men. Ya'll have read it, so I don't have to repeat the horrible things he said about them... especially if he found out that had slept with tall, hot blondes.

If he hated blonds so much, how would he reacted to find out that some of them bleached their hair blond.

He was attracted to tall blondes but hated them because they weren't attracted to him.

How tall was ER?

Thanks...:seeya:

Turtles and lizards do not have long life spans....so,it would be hard to tell if they died of natural causes or not...

ETA...... come to think of it... Tortoises have longer lifespans though....

But...I am still curious.... (There may have been pets/animals ER did not report in his manifesto...)

Just some thoughts...
