Bummer, hopefully someone present puts the proceedings on X for us.A quick search says cameras are not allowed so, likely not.

Stupid question:
If they are legally married, which I think they are, and they eventually are both convicted and in separate prisons, are they at some point going to be allowed conjugal visits?
Because I panic at the idea that either can ever have another child together, even if they don’t get to raise that child.
I know I sound dumb because I THINK conjugal visits would be when the spouse is not also in prison.
The two-year old daughter that he was carrying when they did their fake crying and begging actually seemed fine to me. Maybe she was their favored child.
Excuse my ignorance. I really hope they never get to even see each other again.
I hope she really is fine, for whatever reason. But hopefully she's been thoroughly examined for old healed fractures and other signs of abuse. We have reason to think that JH's pattern of abusive behavior is particularly dangerous for infants in his care. This is pure speculation, but maybe things become a little less acute if they survive infancy. The two-year old daughter that he was carrying when they did their fake crying and begging actually seemed fine to me. I love how they had him walking through the desert plant bed. I hope he has all kinds of sticker burrows in hisOmg, seriously!! HE says ouch?! May he spend the rest of his days feeling that!!![]()
He was such a sweet, cutie pie and had every right to live a beautiful life. How much this poor child has suffered IMO.
(bolded by me)It defies any reasonable explanation that JH was treated so lightly for the child cruelty that resulted in such devastating and disabling injuries to his then-10-week-old daughter. Surely what happened to her is repetitive felony battery with aggravating circumstances (given that it was a young and defenseless infant victim who was in his care). Had he injured a non-family member adult so severely, one has to believe he'd have been incarcerated for a very long time. Instead, he served six months followed by 4 years probation for his June 2023 conviction. Probation which apparently did not include such reasonable measures as occasional checks to make sure children living under his care in his home were safe.

Imagine if he beat a stranger, neighbor, co-worker so badly the person was disabled for life. No way would he get off with barely a slap. I don't understand how child abuse within families is treated differently.(bolded by me)
I couldn't agree more.
How can his slap-in-the-wrist sentence be justified for repeated cruelty to an infant?
BBM. I think the discrepancy in charges and sentencing between parents who injure (or kidnap, for that matter) their own child versus a stranger is one of the most glaring opportunities for reform. It defies any reasonable explanation that JH was treated so lightly for the child cruelty that resulted in such devastating and disabling injuries to his then-10-week-old daughter. June 2023 conviction. Six months incarceration = released December 2023. Emmanuel was 7 months old when his disappearance was reported, so was presumably born around January 2025 and conceived around April 2024 (in the fourth month after JH's release from incarceration).
At the very LEAST, any deal that released JH into the community should have involved a vasectomy to ensure he could not produce more children to victimize behind the walls of his home and some kind of registration as a violent risk to children so others had fair warning to keep their distance and protect their children from him. More reasonably, he should have been locked up for life.

I'm sure they have been. The sibling of the injured 10 month old was adopted along with her. I doubt if he has had any contact with the child.I hope she really is fine, for whatever reason. On the other hand, I hope that the oldest son (brother to the 10-week-old baby) and the sports-playing son have also been examined for old healed injuries. If they didn't have any, then that might mean the favored child pattern does apply to JH here.
Part of this is because we as a society have set most state laws to allow parents to have corporal punishment which is far too flexible in most states. So the foundational child abuse bar already allows a certain level of physical consequence/beating without legal consequence. Which means the next bar of legal consequence is set to a next extreme levelImagine if he beat a stranger, neighbor, co-worker so badly the person was disabled for life. No way would he get off with barely a slap. I don't understand how child abuse within families is treated differently.

My question would be as to which came first - the abuse or medical issues. Did Emmanuel have fundamental health issues from the get-go (which may or may not have been obvious from birth) or was he a completely normal baby who was subsequently damaged by abuse?
Note: I am NOT suggesting that any health issues could excuse abuse of a baby, but a baby with fundamental health issues which mean that he or she is in constant pain or discomfort may cry and scream inconsolably for hours may drive even the most devoted parent to distraction. And we know that neither of the parents in this case fall into that category.
AFAIAA, there don't seem to be any photos of Emmanuel which show him behaving in a normal manner, in which case we wouldn't know whether he was ever a healthy baby.
For me, it stood out that the parents talked about Emmanuel being healthy and crawling. Bizarre IMO. Your baby is missing, and that's how you describe him when pleading for help? To me, and MOO only - I'm no expert, that indicates a *significant* level of sensitivity on the topic of his health and development.
At the time I assumed they had seen the social media speculation that he was disabled but it does seem much more creepy now.I thought this was just to try to be normal but this is an interesting theory - “he’s healthy” already being defensive because he hasn’t been healthy because we beat him
I'm thinking each of them are going to blame the other one.Easy peasy for JH's defense lawyer Vincent Hughes.
Wash-rinse-repeat.
JH almost murdered but left his 10 week old daughter , paralyzed, inability to speak, blind, and with a feeding tube and his defense was he blamed it on his wife at the time VH.
JH murdered his 7 month old son Emmanuel and his defense will be he'll blame it on his latest wife RH.
What a father and husband, almost murder then murder your infant and baby and blame it on the women.
imo
It's one child, one murder and they both came out with the false story about an abduction. Put them on trial together.I'm thinking each of them are going to blame the other one.
At first I took it as defensive as they knew his facial features would raise questions about his development.I thought this was just to try to be normal but this is an interesting theory - “he’s healthy” already being defensive because he hasn’t been healthy because we beat him
