And yet he still found someone who would have more children with him!! I wonder if Rebecca or any of her family knew about the abuse and how serious it was?

How the $&?! Is this guy not in PRISON? How?!!!!!
Has anything been reported about RH's life before she met Jake?
Jake could have been a "catch" for her and either she didn't care about his violent history almost killing an infant ( his daughter?) or she was going to change him?

Women send love letters/want to marry guys on death row so it's free-range why Rebecca married him and had 2 children with him.

Thankfully CPS removed their 2 yr old daughter.
imo

I doubt that Emmanuel will ever be found. We don’t even have a timeline. He is no doubt, playing with so many of our other WS children. In the clouds and sliding down rainbows. Namaste.

How about the old healing fractured leg on the 10 week old? How'd they explain that?

Wow.
What a big tough guy to beat up a baby.
Unbelievable. So sick.

These are the most bizarre pictures of a child we have ever seen
Agree. It is odd. A couple close-ups, interesting angle(s). Then the full length one in which some things are very obvious. They are exactly the type of photos I took of one of my children when we were going through the diagnosis process and genome sequencing.

I wonder if LE seized the parents cell phones and locked down any associated social media accounts for investigative purposes which might mean their (the parents) access to shareable photos would be limited.

Not all cases of strabismus are due to a genetic disorder. My daughter had strabismus surgery when she was 3. Her eyes did not present any issues until she was about 2. Her doctor did not use eye patches. I can't be completely sure why this happened, but I feel it's due to a traumatic childbirth that caused her to have torticollis and later plagiocephaly which she was treated with a DOC Band at 6 months old. I believe the plagiocephaly moved her eye positioning.

Little Emmanuel might also have undiagnosed plagiocephaly (condition where the baby's skull develops a flattened area usually on the side or back of the head.) Usually this occurs when a baby is left in one position too long. My daughter's case was due to her neck issue, the torticollis, from being injured at birth.
That's so traumatic for you both during her delivery and not asking for more information but if her injuries were negligence on the doctor/midwifes side I hope you both were compensated.
Hopefully she responded to her corrective procedures and is doing well today.
That had to have been hell for you.

Agreed. In this case, I don't see the parents as "victims". WS is always "Victim Friendly", until there is substantial reason to consider them not victims, but perpetrators.

I wonder how long it will take for LEO to file charges. I don't think that the other children are safe, and possibly not even the Mom.

That poor child, Vanessa pled guilty also!! IMO there is no room for redemption, who has custody of this poor baby now?
That poor 10 wk old baby had signs of 'healing' fractures, so the physical abuse was ongoing, in a tiny newborn!

AND signs of 'nutritional neglect'? So they weren't feeding her?

Is that why they beat her? Because she was crying from hunger??????

Your description of Emmanuel is sadly quite accurate as shown in all these photos of him when he was younger.
imo

Someone got a FOIA- the “child” from fathers previous charges was 10 WEEKS OLD! TEN WEEKS OLD!!! Multiple injuries in various stages of healing! Malnutrition…
Here’s a quote from that-
“The conviction stems from a 2018 arrest in Hemet, while Jake was married to another woman, Vanessa Avina, The Orange County Register reported.
On Oct. 13, 2018, Haro and Avina's 10-week-old daughter was admitted to Hemet Valley Hospital.
Doctors reported to police that the little girl had an
'acute" fractured rib, six ribs with "healing" fractures, a skull fracture, brain hemorrhage, swelling of the neck and a fractured leg bone that was "healing."
"The combination of the above findings in a pre-mobile infant, in the absence of a plausible history of significant trauma to explain the injuries, is indicative of abuse (sic) head trauma, child physical abuse and nutritional neglect," the officer wrote in an affidavit for a warrant obtained by The Register.”

Snipped by me.
Welll, she has a sibling that was convicted of a violent murder about a decade ago (?) and is in prison.

Her mother, MB, also spoke to MSM at the time (you can find the MSM articles if you search her name) regarding how he was a good person, he would never..., etc. It is public info and was in MSM, but mods please delete if this info is against the rules.

Here is one source.
Mother of man convicted of gunning down girlfriend speaks out - KESQ Mother of man convicted of gunning down girlfriend speaks out

Moo.

JH was given only 4 yrs which were suspended in his plea deal?
I can't get nameless prosecutor and judge out of my mind.
Anyone know who the judge was?
I've looked to no avail.
I gather JH's firearm was seized by LE.
imo

"But both were charged with willful child cruelty on Oct. 5, 2021. They pleaded guilty to the charge on June 8, 2023.

Jake Haro was sentenced to 180 days in the sheriff’s work-release program, given a suspended four-year prison sentence and was ordered to attend a child abuser treatment program. Vanessa Haro was sentenced to 120 days in the work-release program and ordered to attend the child abuser treatment program.

Shortly after the baby was admitted to the hospital, Jake Haro filed a request for a domestic violence restraining order against his wife, Family Law records show. That case was eventually dismissed.

Jake Haro is due in court on Sept. 2 to answer to another charge: being a felon or addict in possession of a firearm."

Thanks so much. She's 14 and doing wonderful now.

Don't want to go off-topic too much, but yes it was the most traumatizing thing I've ever been through. I had a precipitous labor. When I got to the hospital, I was already fully dilated and couldn't walk. There was no time for an epidural, any pain meds, and my doctor wasn't present. A nurse delivered her. She was born with TTN, and had to be in the NICU for a short time. I believe her neck was injured during labor causing the torticollis, plagiocephaly and eventual strabismus. Lesson is, don't wait until contractions are "2 minutes apart" like they tell you.

I think there's not many face on photos of Emmanuel, because of his eyes. Poor baby.

He was about the age where they would have given him those cute little glasses ! They would have made him look like an adorable baby genius.

Sorry I have just joined this one so I apologise if this has already been said but this looks to me like the dad beat the mum a few days before the alleged "abduction" - the black eyes are not consistent with an injury received in the last day or 2. He likely killed the baby and the mother is lying for him because she is terrified of him.
This is exactly what my untrained intuition says as well.

I guess , the truth of it is , we really cannot ever call Jake an innocent victim. How are we as a group, which invest time into being aware, and helping people supposed to support him after knowing he already has caused great harm to one of his own children?
(i dunno if or who of us helps the world, I know I do)

Can LE get Emmanuel's medical records if parents haven't been charged?
IIRC
The standard schedule is like a few days after birth , then 1 month, 2 months, 4 months, 6 months etc.
That is IF he was taken to the doctors.
imo

For what it’s worth, I recently fell and broke the fall with my hand - the first day my hand was swollen, bruised, and not looking great. However, 2 days later it looked GNARLY, so much worse. I’ll include pictures so you can see what I mean. Not necessarily saying that mum’s black eye happened exactly when she said it did - just thought I’d point out that in my experience bruises don’t always follow the timeline we often see in online guides. These pictures were taken around 4 hours after the injury and 2 days after
I agree - mine don't tend to look bad for a few days. These are two + three days after a (bad) IV insertion. It wasn't even noticeable until day two. That said, I would be surprised if her black eye wasn't from a domestic violence incident with JH.

I’m very angry this guy is not sitting in prison. I hope MSM digs into this case and let’s us know the details of the sentencing. How in God’s name did that get pled down to work release and probation? HOW?!!!! But also for her, why isn’t SHE in prison?

Within this reporting I heard Rebecca state the attacker punched her. Also the reporter stated that LE showed up to their house today and knocked with no answer. The story also said their Tacoma truck was taken by LE on Friday.
