What did the attorney say at around 4:00? Did he say the two year old was “bruised”?I think Ashleigh Banfield did a great job with him,

I think you said law enforcement wanted him to "produce" the child, and he produced the child. What did the attorney say at around 4:00? Did he say the two year old was “bruised”?
Yep.So the attorney only represents Jake. He can't and won't speak for Rebecca. And the kidnapping is alleged. I see this as Jake distancing himself from Rebecca and her report of kidnapping via his attorney. Won't be long now, JMO, until they turn on one another. Jake is the more experienced with the legal system thanks to his previous charges of infant abuse. He attempted to shift all blame for that on his then wife.
Rebecca needs to talk, and soon, or Jake is going to hang this all on her.

you are a compassionate person. I can't find it in me for her just now. The longer this drags on the harder it is to see her as a victim, even if she is a victim of DV.Yep.
I remain worried about her well-being. Thankful the world is watching because that might force someone to behave. imo

Well, I don't like her or trust her, tbh. But I don't want to see violence, no matter who it is against.you are a compassionate person. I can find it in me for her just now. The longer this drags on the harder it is to see her as a victim, even if she is a victim of DV.
snippedThe grandma described the couple as 'homebodies"
It's SoCal, so fires just sort of happen, especially now during fire season, but the fact that it's so close is kind of suspicious. Maybe they're trying to destroy evidence. In which case, I hope they catch more charges for arson.
Can you please share the link to this info? The local FB reporter witnessed the fire being started. He said it was 2 homeless people and there are known to LE.
Freudian slip. Even he can't believe his client's BS.interesting to me that Jake's attorney said - "they haven't had their vehicles since Thursday night, when the ALLEGED kidnapping happened"
We have followed so many cases during our time here.snipped
The hombodies comment has been nagging at me. Not that homebody is a bad thing - I love to be in my own home and the coziness of it.
But I'm wondering if they are "homebodies" because mom and children are often bruised? Having to hide abuse would put a huge damper on being in public and with socializing. imo
Just a thought.
I don't like the two of those "homebodies" in the house alone together right now. Are they alone? Is he able to work without his vehicle? Sounds tense, imo.
Please find that baby soon, LE!

Why did he not make a video then? He lying. IMOThe local FB reporter witnessed the fire being started. He said it was 2 homeless people and there are known to LE.
And he easily could. She's the one who told LE she was attacked. So the attorney only represents Jake. He can't and won't speak for Rebecca. And the kidnapping is alleged. He could; but no police investigator worth their salt is going to accept that in someone of Jake's background without doing some deep questioning of him; and maybe not even then. And he easily could. She's the one who told LE she was attacked.
She was alone at the sporting good's store - he wasn't there.
He can't say for sure that any of it happened because she's the one who told him it happened.
He could quite easily say "baby Emmanuel was fine when she took him to the store" and then, poof, it's on her. All of it.
Yep, and she in turn will claim (perhaps truthfully) that she is a battered spouse and that he killed the baby and she was unable to stop him, and he's the one who made her come up with the kidnapper story, or something like that. And he easily could. She's the one who told LE she was attacked.

It is not up to them (the investigators) The courts and rule of law and Becky is a duck.He could; but no police investigator worth their salt is going to accept that in someone of Jake's background without doing some deep questioning of him; and maybe not even then.
And the case against the father wouldn't go away if the baby wasn't at that game, which I don't think he was. The father would have to explain his knowledge - and lying - about that. imoHe could; but no police investigator worth their salt is going to accept that in someone of Jake's background without doing some deep questioning of him; and maybe not even then.
Yeah, it already kind of sounds like the attorney is preparing for that. It's about the only possible defense he has.And the case against the father wouldn't go away if the baby wasn't at that game, which I don't think he was. I think the father will turn on the mom, though. jmo
