It is amazing to me that a chip in a dog may be what helped police crack the case. We don't know what police found, but we know that they wouldn't have found it if Heidi's dog hadn't been tracked to that building.

I need to go back through the articles from the raid on her house. Didn't one of them report that LE entered the house expecting to find a body? If that's the case, then it seems like LE has been linking it to someone close enough to HP to feel comfortable enough going back to her home to leave her.
Hypothetically they might also feel comfortable enough to deliver some muffins and ring the bell while checking to see if it's locked...

If LE believes she is deceased based on biological evidence, my guess is there is brain matter, or perhaps vast amounts of blood.

It could also be based on a video/photo showing an obviously deceased body or a non-survivable injury.

Can individuals take trash to that land fill or is it only for commercial trash haulers. Is it open for business 24/7?

Or enter her home on a contradictory number of occasions to search for clues in electronic devices not on her person.

Seems like whoever killed her would have to be connected to the building somehow. Someone not connected to the building (intruder), would probably just have left the body and run.

They haven’t yet said killed, right? Only that an incident likely lead to her death. Incident could mean a variety of things. I’m still not ruling out overdose.

The more I read from places that can't be linked here, the less inclined I am to believe she was, or even ever had been, abusing drugs. I would not rule out the possibility of her being given a lethal dose of a drug by someone else, though. JMO

I think the issue for many of us is that nobody seems to know of any connection that Heidi had to that building. So, if she was there to see someone, it must have been really discreet. And that causes us to think a lot about what sort of discreet activity she might have been involved in. And drugs do come to mind. In fact, I think some spoke of reading comments where people who reviewed the building spoke of drug dens. So it's easy to jump to that conclusion. But I'm not leaning that way. I've speculated in the past that a body was dumped after an OD. And that's never been the case in any of the cases I have followed. I'm sure someone will be able to tell about some cases where that did happen, though.

Was debating asking the question of where does JS the muffin delivery guy fit into the narrative?

Was JS just checking up because he had not heard from HP or something more sinister?

I’m finally back from the no signal road trip. Just barely catching up on news and the new thread.
I started researching FBI MP indications of Homicide protocols last week up, since it
seemed reasonable to assume there was a lot going on behind the scenes with LE that we didn’t consider. That’s a very tightly controlled process. <modsnip>

Did the ex say the son and HP texted that evening?

I couldn’t hear the question well, but he did say HP texted her son congratulations on winning the game. Don’t know what time it was.

In his very first interview with that Citizen app, JW mentioned that there was communication from HP that evening.

How would she know he had won the game? Who let her know?

He says in the PC that he didn't know until later that BW and HP had text after the game. He told her they won and she congratulated him. He wasn't sure of the time.

When asked if LAPD told him about the forensic evidence they found that led them to believe HP was dead and caused them to search the landfill, he said they did and they know for sure that's what happened to her.

He also states that in one of his meetings with the LAPD, they indicated there are 1-5 people they suspect know what happened to HP. They did not share names with him.

He has known for a while about the RR being located and where it was found, but he did not share the location during the PC. He also didn't elaborate on how long "a while" was.

Sure like to know when and WHERE that call was from -- the last anyone heard from Heidi!

Oh dear I’m so sorry to hear this news. I hope they find her body soon and her family and friends can get answers they need. I don’t think JW or JS had anything to do with this. She may have been showing an apartment to someone and left Seven in the hallway while she did. So very sad.

I’m also glad her son was able to talk to her before she died.
