I am wondering why it took the LAPD so long to issue a missing person bulletin on 10/28, 8 days after JW reported Heidi missing on 10/20, 7 days after the wellness check on 10/21.
What was going on that week?
Also, the missing person report came 1 day before the search at her home on 10/29, conducted by the “elite” Robbery and Homicide Division, a very prestigious and famous group that is charged with very high profile crimes including extortion and kidnapping, crimes against financial institutions.

Is Heidi a victim or a suspect? Both?

Also, it sure doesn’t seem like the police are providing much info to JW.

I’m not sure why it took so long, but I suppose she’s an adult and it’s not a crime to be missing voluntarily and maybe there wasn’t evidence of foul play from the get go. They might not have initially taken her phone and laptop for this reason as well. I’m not sure it’s been totally confirmed who searched her house - I have seen federal agents, RHD, or both. They very well may be working together. Given how much JW is talking, they are wise to keep a lid on this I think until the ducks are sorted. I wonder, since it seems Heidi rented the house, if anyone else entered between the time she went missing and the 20th/21st when JW and law enforcement entered. As for your last question, I think it may be a combo of both - but we don’t know enough to say.

I’m not sure I understand where the alleged $43 million fraud investigation originated.
I’ve seen the old charges that led to a conviction of another partner wheeler dealer, and that JS was found libel for $9 million, back in 2019.
I think.
Anyone have a good link to new or ongoing investigation?

Has anyone posted about the federal liens filed against her in 2010, 2011, 2018, 2019?

Haven't seen it -- care to share?
DOJ lists missing persons Statewide - DATA LIMITATIONS: This database is a subset of all persons reported as missing by law enforcement in the State of California.
LAPD is listed as the agency in charge - DATA LIMITATIONS: This database is a subset of all persons reported as missing by law enforcement in the State of California.

DOJ supports local LE -

Thanks - still seems to me that she should be in LAPD group (part of the 'subset').

The latest I could find is an order denying JS’s motion to dismiss a year ago. Also linked the SEC press release. It’s all the same case, he’s just a new defendant. Court case schedules have been wonky due to covid, so maybe it’s not resolved yet, they may be in the process of settling, who knows. Also, this very well could be a totally new investigation. If you look into the complaint, I guess some of the misdeeds did not come to a halt

"The SEC in 2019 charged Camden Capital executive JS and his business partner, JG, with securities fraud. The pair had developed a scheme to steal $43 million from its clients that they purported to invest in Native American tribal bonds. JS "ultimately siphoned almost $9 million in cash for his direct and personal benefit," according to a 2019 SEC complaint. JG pleaded guilty to "multiple fraudulent schemes" in January of 2020 and was sentenced to more than 15 years in prison."

LE as of October 28 said her car has not been found and provided pictures and plates when they reposted the missing persons flyer.

You'd think it'd be headline news but how can it be if the police don't bother to put the word out that they are still looking for her car and give updates so reporters know the facts and know they are reporting the story in a way that won't hurt their credibility. The news headline at present other than this woman vanished should be that the police don't seem to be doing anything to find her or solve any crimes in LA for that matter. Crimes don't get solved in LA unless they solve themselves and even then its not a given. It's lawlessness and while most people are good some people are evil and are quickly picking up on the fact there's no more police around here.

Putting up a flyer and helping federal agents execute a search warrant which they are required by to do in any case is an embarassment. The likely fact that the video footage wasn't pursued and has since been lost is troubling. They don't care and it's obvious. I like the police, but not as much as I don't like the crime they are failing to prevent.
Do you have MSM to back up your comment that crimes don't get solved in LA unless they solve themselves or is that your opinion?

MOO IMO

Note to mods: sorry for my links! Noted that they contain full names of people who aren’t named suspects against TOS. Will be careful going forward (signed, a newbie!)

Removed link myself.

Key point I would make is all this alleged activity happened prior to Heidi's employment beginning 2017. I don't know where the documentation from those years would be, but I doubt they would be in Heidi's possession. And it seems the SEC already has their case fully assembled and have sworn in their evidence.

Is that income enough to rent a 1.6m home in LA?

"[JW], a hairdresser, revealed Planck doesn't have a college degree or any accounting licensure but was making good money as a bookkeeper, earning $125,000 a year plus monthly bonuses of up to $1,500 a month."

We don’t know the full story on the house either. It also might be tied up with work, possibly as a benefit?

BBM

Are those earnings standard for a bookkeeper in the States!?

If so, I'm in the wrong job!

I'm finding the management of this case quite strange.

Firstly, why have LE not taken closer control of her apartment, phone, laptop etc from the outset? Surely, when Kelsey Berreth went missing (for instance) LE were all over controlling her property. I find it very peculiar that the ex husband had her phone for several days and her laptop before handing them onto the police. Is that fair or is it just the way the ex husband is handling the communications? He's not giving the impression of LE securing her property as a potential crime scene or her digital devises as evidence.

Secondly, the constant commentary by the ex husband is quite strange. Usually, you'd expect the LE to manage communications more effectively and objectively. He's taking over and its quite haphazard. As others have said, he could do with being advised by a lawyer to keep his counsel a bit more.

What he's said about her employers is not encouraging. I'm not really getting a Melissa Caddick feeling here. But of course it possible that she was planning to disappear and was waiting for an accomplice or contact to be in touch whilst at her son's game to help effect her escape. Or maybe just go on a date? I'm a bit stumped.

So, on the wellness check on 10/20, police left her electronics, then the ex, JW went back and took possession of those items the next day, on 10/21? Do I have that right?
New clues revealed in missing mom mystery from odd text to multiple phones
During a wellness check, police can't remove anything from her home. They need a search warrant to search and remove any private property without the owner's permission.

ETA, and it requires probable cause to obtain a search warrant. So I do think a lapse of time might have been necessary to nail that down.

Plate readers, plate readers, plate readers!! Should I say it again? LE has not said Boo about the investigation, very close to the vest. The only reason we know half of what we do is because JW loves to talk to media.

Who's to say LE doesn't have the RR in impound already?

<modsnip - quoted post was removed>
I know many people were stumped on the plates and what they meant but I never saw someone say it could be "you be for kisses hugs and kisses" like UB4OXO like XOXO that people use meaning hugs and kisses. Also not sure what that would have to do with anything anyways but just never saw someone offer that as a meaning.
The plate is not significant. It's almost definitely a standardized number sequence according to the CA DMV Vehicle Industry Registration Procedures Manual

"Chapter 21 Special License Plates
21.025 California (CA) 1960s Legacy License Plates (CVC §5004.3)

Legacy License Plates are available in sequential configurations of six characters and in personalized configurations of two to seven characters and may be issued to automobiles, commercial vehicles (excluding international registration plan [IRP]), motorcycles, trailer coach (CCH), and permanent trailer identification (PTI)."
