Talking about the keys in Joey's pocket. Top key out of the group of keys in the photo was for the Trooper.

The judge has just given them a talking to in the break about all the objections and they're still doing it. He's getting a bit cheesed off with them.

I don't get why the Judge doesn't take control of his own court room

No High Court judge i know would allow this nonsense.

The truck being shown is what we call a "box/Mechanic" truck. I'm guessing it is a 1 ton in weight, unloaded. If you fill those toolboxes up with tools/materials (4 bodies too), you can double the weight of the truck. It makes sense to me now why they were buried just a mile or so inside of the desert. That truck would be difficult to drive through soft sand without having to worry about it getting buried/stuck in the sandy river/wash area they were found in.

The key below it was a house key - I'm not sure which house

To me, CM looks more agitated today and less indifferent.

I agree. Something about the paint evidence really seemed to bother him. Paying very close attention with anxiety and nervousness.

The other key in the group was from a padlock for the storage (I think!)

#McStay - Jury at afternoon recess. Parties are again arguing about prosecution not giving the defense witness names with their addresses.

    37m37 minutes ago
#McStay - McGee says they are receiving reports this week from the prosecution from investigations started AFTER opening statements.

    35m35 minutes ago
#McStay - McGee tells the judge he's going to start asking for sanctions against the prosecution for negative comments against them. "This unprofessionalism is the highest I've ever seen." Judge: "The unprofessional conduct on BOTH sides is the highest I've ever seen."

#McStay - Judge: My patience is wearing thin.

#McStay - Det. Ryan Smith now on the stand. He sits at prosecution table each day as is customary for lead detective.

#McStay - After the trial started, on Jan 15, 2019, Det. Smith took the keys found in Joseph McStay's pocket and tested them on the Isuzu Trooper. He said the key worked on the door and ignition.

It was sold at auction in 2011. - jury instructed to disregard - irrelevant

#McStay - Det. Smith admits the key was never tested until after trial started because it "fell through the cracks."

#McStay - Smith said there were two Chateau brand padlock keys. One found in front pocket and one with the group of keys in back pocket. Smith said Chateau is a lock company commonly found at storage sheds/facilities.

catching up at midnight euro time

So samples in the house DID come back positive for blood?

I believe I read they were "presumptive" only at the home. They have to be verified from laboratory testing yet.

#McStay - This comes after the judge already admonished both sides for unprofessional comments: Imes: Ok, last question....have you ever been to Hawaii? Det. Smith: No Imes: Oh, sorry no further questions This was followed by a sidebar.

But in the mud the truck would have sunk down and the tire tread would have been wider.

Where is the Pros going with 2 different measurements (tire tracks) 73" vs 76" ? Is the front/rear wider than each other?
