When this is over I hope I will never hear about QB ever again! But I have figured it out from all the posts here. Easier to figure out than DNA and that dreaded word ALLELES.

I AGREE!!!!!!!

And I don't know if this has already been stated, but it is VERRRRY windy up in Victorville, 50mph winds are quite the norm.

When I was around 12-13 years old, my family used to ride dirt bikes in the same area near the grave sites. We spend the weekend there camping/riding the washes etc. Later, we switched from Phelan/VV to El Mirage Dry Lake, which is also near VV.

Around the dry lake (El Mirage), there were "mines" that were dug straight down into the Earth, like digging a well. They were not roped off and one could easily land in a mine shaft that was 10' deep and 6-8' across.:eek:

Animals fell in and the bottom were full of bones.

Now, there are housing tracts that have been been constructed that butts right up to the dry lake.

Well, being self employed, it's pretty hard to garnish, that's what makes me wonder if there was a judgement that allowed whatever company/hospital to garnish his bank account or freeze it.

Not here in the US. They can go directly INTO your bank account and seize monies.

This is wonderful. First hand witness and at a young age no less! I am from the East Coast. Have no clue about the desert and surroundings. I kinda can't relate to the landscape being so dry. I see posters talk about it's beauty. Totally foreign to me.

You mean they don't need some sort of judgement first? I don't know if judgement is the right word. But if they can prove you owe the money and they can find your bank account, then they can 'freeze' it or take from it.

@ThorJanus

You asked about "polygraphs" being introduced as evidence in a past thread. I didn't see an answer to your question, but I actually looked into/thought about being a Polygrapher as a 2nd career and I KNOW that in California: A polygraph "result" can ONLY be entered into "evidence" is if both the Pros & Defense "agree" to allow it into evidence in a criminal case. I hope that clears up your question.

Me too citygirl. I can relate to the open space, seclusion of it, but not the actual conditions, that's why I was asking all the questions. I still don't understand how easy/hard it would have been to dig those graves and bury the bodies in the conditions. A dry area, that has a downpour that causes flooding and within hours, he's digging into that ground and burying bodies? And if the holes were already dug... wouldn't they get filled in during that downpour and run off?

It is dry in the summer and HOT. The weekend this crime happened, the desert/So Cal was inundated with rain a week before/days after in Victorville-grave sites.

We always went in the Winter to ride our dirt bikes/camping there, always. It was too hot in the summer to ride dirt bikes.

Most of So Cal IS desert, other than the beaches and mountains.

Yes, a judgment/court order is required first. That isn't hard to get in a civil case though.

I think I have found the information I was looking for...

If you get a summons notifying you that a debt collector is suing you, do not ignore it—if you do, the collector may be able to get a default judgment against you (that is, the court enters judgment in the collector's favor because you didn't respond to defend yourself). The debt collector could then garnish your wages and bank accounts, meaning it could take money from your paycheck or accounts. Make sure you respond by the date stated in the court papers so you can defend yourself in court. If you are sued, you may want to consult an attorney.

But one needs to consider statute of limitations .

if it's anything like here, it depends on who is doing it LOL My Mom used to be collect Canada Student loan debts... I was going to call her, but think I found the info I was looking for in my last post ;-)

I feel like maybe a debt like that caught up to him in 2009 and was part of the reason he cashed cheques, and probably why he was using CJ's bank account sometimes. Might also explain why he opened another account. Seems like a common tactic. When I first saw all the cashed cheques, my first thought was a 'dead beat Dad' trying to scoot child support, but another debt could be the answer. I wonder if we will hear this later...

Yep, but I think once they have a judgement, there is no time limit. Depending on the debt, they may have went for the judgement before it was stats barred, then it's anyone's guess to when they will actually act on that judgement and start taking from accounts, especially with him being self employed. If you are self-employed, you don't have an HR dept they can send a judgement to and garnishee wages.

Sorry, debt collectors need to "sue" you first in a court of law. I was talking about civil cases WHERE a judgment is granted for the plaintiff.
yes, that's what that link and info said :) They can sue you.

Trust me. He is a shyster. I would bet money on it. Paying his medical bill was the LAST thing on his mind.
