BBMOpen a map of Chula Vista, and look east. There's your wilderness, your blind (no cameras) roads, even a gorge or two. Also, lakes. Much closer than Solana Beach or anywhere else we are looking at now...and much less traveled. Still. IMO, she would have been found by now if she had been left out there.
You don't mean a paper map, do you?Open a map of Chula Vista, and look east. There's your wilderness, your blind (no cameras) roads, even a gorge or two. Also, lakes. i've always thought 3 places and stickin' to it. closer to home. In the hood, meaning southeast san diego. And the east, inland empire to be specific. I used to work in those parts and it is vast woodsy, and you're right.. no cameras. Potrero, Descanso, Campo all come into mind. I'm sure one pondered areas while driving up to Glamis and back. all of Inland Empire County is in between home and Glamis. Maybe LE is right, and MM isnt in Chula Vista anymore.. As of right now, nobody is an POI, and everything is speculative. You don't mean a paper map, do you?I agree that there's plenty of places nearby. I did say staying in the hood would be better than up in Solana Beach. There's so many places you'd think of if you lived in the CV area.
Oh Yes, @coastal, even better, go east and find all kinds of rugged terrains and some cliffs. Do you have a specific place in mind? I have pictured a Thursday night trip, but even early Friday morning-- I just don't know what would be possible without LE figuring it out. He must have gone on the Solana Beach trip, at best, as a ruse.
I'm not sure she'd be found as easily if it was in the east direction because there's less chance of cameras, witnesses, less people roaming the area, hard on searchers, etc., It must be a smart direction because just the thought of east worries me that she may not be found for awhile. Praying for divine intervention.
East... see how the terrain is changing and it's less populated?

i thought about heading east but the places that are secluded are gated off. I did find a good location South but im not sure if it was open. it’s somewhere by pacific gateway park i’ll have to check my notes. but you can just drive right up through dirt roads. I honestly think his best options are the ocean or garbage. area around CV looks like a really horrible place to hide a body you'd have to travel several hours to get somewhere decent. Heading north towards palmdale and tehachapi are not as gated off and easy places to hide bodies. He talked about big bear maybe he did head north.i've always thought 3 places and stickin' to it. closer to home. In the hood, meaning southeast san diego. And the east, inland empire to be specific. "... but I'm not real familiar with the Los Penasquitos Lagoon. I see a road running through it. Is that Sorrento Valley Rd.? Are you a local from around there?

Heather Elvis case was on 20/20 last night. The couple had tampered/ unplugged something to thwart LE. (was it the GPS or the truck's black box memory?) I don't know enough about cars, especially newer cars, but it sounds like you are on to something.

Did you consider though maybe he really did go to the beach? Solano beach to Chula Vista is 28 miles, im not that familiar with San Diego, I lived in LA, drove to La Jolla once to visit Ucsd, but that sounds like a lot longer of a drive than what Google says as 30 minutes. Perhaps he borrowed a friend or relatives boat drove it out 60 miles (about how Thomas Capano drove his brothers boat to dump Fahey) assuming a boat speed of 30 mph, that's 4 hours round trip. Plus driving, let's call it an hour each way from Solona to CV. Stop in the morning and evening for food you're at 7 hours. Maybe some cleanup in there as well plus entertaining the kid.I didn't follow Heather's case, so I went looking and you are correct:
South Carolina love triangle: A woman's affair with a married man leads to her disappearance
"... authorities also investigated the Moorers' new truck.
"It was a brand new F-1 50, fully loaded, had all the bells and whistles," Helms said. "In this truck was a GPS navigation system. We learned through the course of our investigation that it was possible to disengage this system and that's exactly what they did."
Livesay said that investigators determined that the system had only been disengaged once: the night Heather Elvis went missing. ..."
The question is does LM know about this?
Like so many posters note, who takes a 4 year old to the beach for 10 hours? That's just too long. Maybe they went there, but where else?

Video at 1:43 mark a Toyota in the driveway with vanity plates "MILLETE".
See the house and their driveway and the vehicles? Is that LM's vehicle or a relative of his with those vanity plates? Larry's or maybe his Uncle's? LM must have his own vehicle if he drives to work. Why didn't he drive his own vehicle to the beach that Friday Jan. 8th? Did someone else, maybe a family member, come by the house or drive LM's car that day? I just don't understand why LM took Maya's car that day.
He didn't. He took her Lexus which also had vanity plates "MAYLANI".Where did you read LM took her Jeep?

Continued listening-- this is just my take on the show and not exact wording. Nothing very interesting after the "uncle" statement though.48:20 Starts the Q & A session on Maya's case
53:26 Chris directly invites Larry to come on the show. We can talk about how we can help to find Maya. You can bring your attorney.
Chris had said he hasn't left the house in the Suzanne Morphew case, meaning he has a feeling it happened in the house. At 47:00 mark, Chris gave a chilling description about when a man reaches out towards a woman's neck still discussing Suzanne's case. (MOO, I think it's likely in a heated argument when rage takes over that choking is more possible, than using a weapon.) Chris says he hasn't left the house in Maya's case either, he's going to stay in the house on this one for now.
Are the children in danger? Chris doesn't know, and he just hopes not. People do crazy things, he doesn't know. If Larry is suffering, then Chris invites him again to come on the show.
Can the kids shed light perhaps on the case? Yes
If and when children are interviewed it is done by
special Cognitive Children Interviewers.
Friday possible for er... dump? It's possible. Mary asks if Temecula would be a possible place because LM mentioned it. Chris said the car GPS would tell a lot. Should searchers look closer to the home or farther? Chris doesn't know because there was a 12-14 hr. lag in Maya being reported missing. It could be either. However, the car GPS would tell much for sure.
56:24 Is Larry going to work? Chris doesn't know.
57:43 Did Larry work alone? Does he have a brother?
Chris says he doesn't know about a brother, but he
does have an uncle. (To me he said it like it was important info.)
Got to go, might continue listening later.
Continued listening-- this is just my take on the show and not exact wording. Nothing very interesting after the "uncle" statement though.
58:00 Is LE checking all of Maya's special places she liked to go?
Chris is confident that CVPD and the guys/people working on the case are in it to win. They're on it. They only get one shot though, so they have to be sure to cross t's and dot i's.
58:35 Can authorities track LM's phone and records? They have his phone. Chris says he would be really surprised if they haven't.
Someone questions if LM is not suffering enough will he to turn himself in? Chris says it's like the Morphew husband and LM are the same guy. Chris is not saying that either is responsible for wife vanishing, but if you compare and contrast how they are acting. Chris says if it were his wife vanishing, he'd be on camera begging, ringing doorbells, bugging LE, he'd be doing much like Maya's sister and family are doing.
Some questions about Maya's Facebook privacy settings being changed, things deleted, family blocked access. Chris says that, too, is like the Suzanne Morphew case and went into what happened.
1:02:05 Will Larry and Barry become Pen Pals? Chris laughed at that one.
Was Maya's disappearance premeditated or heat of the moment?
Chris thinks heat of the moment. He's considering that she had that attorney appt. and thinks that might have had something to do with a heat of the moment thing.
Life insurance-- has it been checked into? Good question says Chris.
LM has made a lot of mistakes already, and will probably make more.
More Larry and Barry questions and comments. Will they write a book together? Listeners are really into the Larry & Barry thing. Twins!![]()
That's it for me. Signing off.
