Just unreal. At first I thought it was just their house after them moving out, but for it TO BE RR and wife?? I'm sad beyond words. And so soon after Gene Hackman and Betsy. *lets out a pent up breath*

What is going on with the human race? It's like everyone is snapping left and right.

Presser ongoing right now. It's actually pretty funny. You can tell the LAPD Deputy Chief is very familiar with the reporters asking questions. He knows exactly how to handle them.

He really can't say much of anything. They are waiting on warrants so they can enter the home and begin working the scene.

Pressed about the People Magazine report, but will only say "that didn't come from LAPD."

Just now reading this. How terrible! Rob was always such a warm, funny and extremely talented person. We just watched Spinal Tap 2 last night. It was hilarious.

What a tremendous loss.

Appears to be a lot of articles about Nick and drug addiction out there.

What a tremendous loss.

This one is really going to sting in two weeks, when end-of-year news and some entertainment shows run their memorials for famous people who died in 2025.

Murder is so much worse than those we lose to natural causes, of course. And when it is your child…..

John Miller CNN:

Medical personnel would pronounce victims dead at the scene, which is why the bodies are still there. This preserves the integrity of the crime scene.

In California there is no exception for crime scenes when it comes to the fourth amendment. Based on the fact that multiple family members may have standing, a warrant is required.

Coroner has distinct responsibilities, one of which is establishing identify of decedents. Police are going by the book here, which is why they're not revealing that.

That house was lit up like crazy, maybe that’s normal, or maybe they were having a family gathering and why their kids were showing up?

ABC LA was saying earlier that 3 generations of the family live right there, with his daughter across the street. She's the one who apparently found them.

I'm so sad. I just returned home from a holiday party to learn this horrible news. Guess it could have been worse if he'd been targeted for who he was...

We just lost an American treasure, and his beloved wife. RIP Rob. May his memory be a blessing.

Such a talented and funny man. This Is Spinal Tap is truly one of the funniest, dead pan movie ever made. And Misery, my god, that movie was scary. Both classics. What a tragedy. Without a legit update, I really think we're going to hear the worst news possible.

"This is Spinal Tap," "When Harry Met Sally," and "The Princess Bride" are all in my pantheon of great films.

I also remember watching Rob Reiner on "All in the Family."

I almost feel as though I've lost a family member.

Hope this hasn’t been posted already.
So they apparently rebuilt their relationship around making this movie, that was in 2016, wonder what’s happened since then?

JMO but if People magazine is reporting the identity of the killer, they must be confident enough to report this without fear of being sued into oblivion if the information is false.

Edited to comply with TOS

I’m heartbroken upon hearing this sad news. Rob Reiner’s a legend in his industry, a very versatile and talented artist, imo. I have many fond memories of my family and me gathered around the TV watching the iconic “All in the Family”. Archie, Edith, Gloria and Michael/“Meathead”. One of the best casts and television shows of the 70’s. RR was so skilled and perfect in the role of “Meathead”, imo.

One of my favorite movies directed by Rob Reiner- “Stand by Me”, another great cast and imo one of the best coming-of-age films ever made.

So very sad. :(

Rest in gentle peace Mr. and Mrs Reiner.
